Chapter 07: Moon under the sky

I looked at her new form. she looked like a woman in her early thirties yet she had an otherworldly beauty no mortal can achieve.

"I saw what did you do with Hecate. You manipulated Hecate using her children and status as a minor god." Hestia said.

"Manipulated is a heavy word lady Hestia. I just stated the facts. I am not surprised if minor gods rebel against Olympians even without the help of Titans."

"You have changed, Luke Castellan. Before you had huge hatred toward us. Now I can't feel any. Just like you said even now you are just stating facts. Your words have no emotions in them. As the goddess of family, I can feel the emotions of my family members."

"Oh, Am I still part of your family? I think your younger brother will disagree. And what kind of family abandoned their family members?" I asked with rage praying my acting skills will fool her.

"Even then my father is not a good person to side with. He will destroy the entire world. He ate his own children because he thought we are a threat to his rule." Hestia said with a shaky voice. I guess, even after thousands of years getting eaten by her own father left some trauma.

"Are Olympians doing any better? Hades sent an army of monsters after Thalia and Zeus just let her die and turned her into a tree. The only thing that keeps Zeus from killing Percy is he fears Poseidon will declare war against him. How many demigods fell because of Olympians?" I said and took a deep breath.

"I was foolish to join titans. I will correct my mistakes but it doesn't mean I will side with gods."

"Very well, Luke Castellan. Then I will take my leave." Hestia said standing up.

"Are you leaving like that? NO threatening or inquiring?"

"I came here only to have a talk with you. You asked that are you still belong to my family, right? I don't know what happened. I know You feel nothing about your friends or family. But deep down I still feel those bonds." she said with a sad look.

"I wish my niece will return safely."

"Of course, she will, Lady Hestia."

"Next time just call me Hestia" With a burst of flames she was gone along with the bonfire I lit.

I checked my skills. Only change was on Magic skill.

The spell I received was added under the magic skill as a sub skill. It can't be leveled up but when the magic skill is leveled up spell becomes stronger. I took the spell tome I received from Hecate. As I touched the book a notification appeared.

I tapped yes then another notification appeared.

[Requirements are not fulfilled.]

To learn skills from skill books I need to complete the requirements for it. Maybe it's possible to learn skills from normal books too. I need to check it later. Then I changed my stats.

This time when I used the spell tome, it exploded into blue particles and entered my body. I checked my skill tab.

It was another spell but it wasn't a disappointment. Both of these spells can be very useful if I used them wisely.

It was almost midnight I returned to Mount Tam. I decided to make a move on the next piece of the game. I went summit of the mountain where Atlas was supposed to hold the sky. Gray clouds swirled in a vortex and an auburn-haired girl held it with all of her strength. I made sure no one is around and walk in front of her.

[Artemis]-lvl ???

"The mighty goddess of the hunt yet you were easily captured by Atlas," I said.

"It was only because of your lowly tricks you filthy male" Artemis growled in anger. She would have yelled if not for the intense weight on her hands.

"Yes yes but you still fell for it. Now open" I took a piece of Ambrosia and brought it near her mouth.

"Take your hands off me, filth. I will rip you into shreds."

"We both know you don't have much energy left. Don't be stubborn, lady Artemis " I said gently. A girl like Silena would have easily fallen for my charms but a thousand-year-old man-hating goddess, not a chance. I was surprised when she took a bite of Ambrosia I gave.

She probably thought replenishing her strength was the best action at the moment. My plan had two possible outcomes. Either she will feel moved by my actions or feel humiliated by me and become extremely angry.
