I do not own anything except for my own original characters. All situations or characters that are recognizable are either the property of Rick Riordan or part of the Greek Mythos.

"Look Caleb I know this is going to be hard for you but you need to stay strong for mommy." Emma Caelum looked down on her son with tired eyes. She could feel the tears slowly start falling.

"You need to run, you can't stay here," Emma said, trying not to break down in front of her inevitable death at the hands of the monsters. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath and opened her eyes again.

"Caleb please give me your hands." She said as she took something from her pocket.

Caleb held out his hands for his mother. She pressed something cold, metallic and round in his hands.

"This will protect you in your time of need, it's a gift from your father." She knew he didn't understand what she meant, she could only hope that his father would save him if needed.

"Why can't you come with me?" She snapped back to reality when her son started speaking.

"I'm going to die, Caleb, to have your other mother inhabit my body to make you, resulted in my body starting to fall apart. I still have enough of her power left from then to take them down with me, however. Now run away my son!" She said all that while stroking his cheek. Then she pushed him away.

Emma turned towards the end of the alleyway where a sea of monsters now stood gathered. First, her eyes started to glow and her hair started to slowly rise. Then suddenly her arms flew up and aimed at the monsters. At the same time, giant spikes protruding from the earth and impaled multiple monsters. Their screams of pain and agony echoed in the alleyway.

Caleb stood at the other end and watched in horror as the remaining monsters rushed his mother. Suddenly the buildings started to tremble and then started to fall. Caleb screamed in terror, sadness and loss as his mother along with the monster got buried under the rubble of the old buildings.

Caleb sat down and cried. But then jolted up when he remembered the last thing his mother's last words to him. "Run!" So with his mother's words echoing in his head, he started running. At five years old Caleb Caelum was an orphan living on the streets.

{2 years later}

Caleb had spent the last two years living on the streets. Over the winters he often joined a gang temporarily and picked pockets for them in exchange for shelter, food and protection. He spent a lot of time training up his powers. He could now control lighting, fly, control winds and control the earth. He also learned that when his feet (shoes included) were on the ground he would heal practically instantly.

He had also figured out what the golden coin his mother had given him was. It could turn into any type of weapon he could imagine apart from guns. The coin could become swords, bows, knives, spears and much more. Apart from guns, he could not find anything it couldn't turn into. The coin could even turn into two weapons which was great since he was ambidextrous.

When Caleb found out that his coin could become any weapon he started at multiple sword related sports like fencing, kendo and straight-up sword fighting. He paid with the money he took from peoples wallets.

After following this training regime for a while he had made giant gains. He was widely recognized as a sword-fighting genius. Even now at age seven he often duelled students many years above him and won. After that, he had also started training in mixed martial arts. He quickly found he was as talented at this. His defence being Impregnable as a mountain and his attacks as swift like the wind. He never lost his footing and seemed to be able to nearly disappear because of his speed.

He had trained a lot with his powers but he still had no idea where they came from. He knew based on what his mom had said that he had another mother and that it was from that mother and his father his powers came from. He also knew his mother was capable of possessing others and imbuing them with her power. She also had control over the earth which led him to the occupation that his father must have something to do with the sky.

When he was searching for information about it most of what he found was from ancient mythology. Goddesses and Gods. Even though he thought there was no way gods were real, that was the same belfies others had about powers like his so he wasn't taking any chances. He made a record of all goddesses that could control the earth and all gods that could control the sky. He had the names, pantheons, powers or domains, ranking and personality of each god and goddess.

Caleb had also ranked each religion based on how likely it was that he came from it. Right now the Greek or the Roman pantheons seemed to be one of the most likely. They often interacted with mortals, had lots of demigods. The king had an extreme amount of children with mortal women and he did hold the right domains. His children were also often powerful, and many were seen as geniuses when it came to fighting just like him. The things that made this choice less likely was that those gods should be in Greece and as far as he knew, his mother had never been there.

The other problem was that Gaia, the primordial goddess of the earth was sleeping. Then again that might have been why she needed to possess his mother. Many of the monsters he had met also fit the descriptions of the monsters in ancient Greek mythology. The main problem was most of them were also part of the average fantasy world so he couldn't be sure.

Just like he could be a child of the greek gods he could also be a normal human that unlocked magic or some ancient fantasy race heritage. He wasn't sure but made sure to study ancient Greek mythology and customs. He also read fantasy books, watched fantasy movies and played any game that included magic or monsters trying to learn as much as possible.

He also learned about other pantheons that could have an impact on his life. Like the norse and Egyptian pantheons.

He liked the place he had set up for himself in this part of town but now he needed to move, the monster activity had started to rise again and he did not want to be swarmed like last time.
