Percy nodded at hearing the Butterfrees request. The Butterfree was glad that Percy could understand it. 'Our colony is struggling against the Pidgey and I hope that you can help us fight against them. I can reward you in some way if you can weaken them enough. We would be really thankful.' Percy was confident in his translation.

He smiled and nodded. "Of course I'll do it. So do you want me to just destroy them or what." 'No nothing like that. Just weaken them enough so we can build up our strength and not have to fear invasion every second. We have the same problem with the Rattata but that's fine. Our type weakness against the Pidgey is the big problem.'

Percy showed his understanding and stood up. "Can I rest for one more day and I'll help you out. I still feel weak." Percy requested. The Butterfree agreed and left Percy and his Pokémon alone. Fúria handed Percy some berries and he devoured them.

A minute later he finished and lay back in the nest. "You guys can keep doing whatever you were doing before. Avoid all trainers and stay safe. Tomorrow we'll hunt down Pidgeotto. The Pidgey won't attack them if they lost all of their evolutions. I'm gonna rest and I'll be ready tomorrow." Percy was still sore and felt weak.

His Pokémon left him and he put his hands over his face. Then he sat. Thinking of the way he felt. How did he feel about his 'father'. The more Percy thought about it the more he felt his father never loved him. Suddenly his Pokédex rang in his pocket. Percy sat up and pulled out his Pokédex. He cringed at the amount of missed messages he had and checked on what he missed.

He had missed 200 calls and 500 messages from people. The Prodigies and Claire took up most of the messages. In particular Aurora called him 100 times with the most recent one being half an hour ago. Percy decided that he needed some time to breath so he didn't respond to anyone. Although he did open their messages.

All of them were along the lines of 'where are you' and 'are you okay'. Percy checked the message he just got and was surprised. It was to a group chat where Professor Oak addressed all of the Prodigies. It read as, 'In 4 months you will be attending the Viridian City Ball. This is not an option. If you don't know what it is then look it up. Baxter, Percy, Ash, Jasper, Haley, Ishigami and Luna will assemble at this address in 3 and a half months.' He linked an address in Viridian City.

'There's a class on how to act in a professional and high class environment. Table manners and dancing will be taught so you don't embarrass yourselves. Be ready to make connections. Respond if you got the message.' Percy responded with a simple 'K'. Then he did some research on the Viridian Ball.

Apparently the Viridian Ball is a ball hosted by the mayor of the city once a year. Every well known person in the city and people from surrounding cities would be there. It was originally done to introduce a new mayor to its city but eventually turned into an annual event that's looked forward to by many large powers.

Since Viridian City was one of the only Tier 5 cities it was absolutely giant with a booming economy. Even a representative from very very large clans would show up and make an appearance. The event would be held on the Mayors property in the middle of the city. It's a giant mansion with at least 100 bedrooms. The normal capacity of the party is 2000 people.

Security at the event will be extremely high and even a Elite Four member will stand by and guard the mansion with hundreds of Elite level trainers. Professor Oak must've pulled some strings to get enough invites for the Prodigies. The opportunity to make connections with some extremely powerful people is something that Percy had to take full advantage of.

He put his Pokédex down and laid back down covering his eyes. Complicated and completely foreign emotions circled Percys mind as he grappled with his inability to handle emotions. He ran away from the hospital because he felt his chest closing in on itself and Lunas insults hurt him a lot.

None of the shit she said was true but Percy couldn't have taken it more seriously. 'I'm just a useless fucking idiot.' He thought to himself. Unfortunately Percy had not learned how to deal with this sort of situation so the best he can think of doing is avoiding Luna. Confronting hadn't even crossed his mind.

From his perspective Luna was angry she got crushed by a boulder and Percy could've done more to help her. 'What if I had done something more. Maybe it's my fault. I should've been the one stuck under that boulder. It should've been me. It was my fault. It always was.' His thoughts got darker and darker until he started shaking. Percy drifted into sleep with tears falling down his face.

Meanwhile Aurora sat on her bed with her face buried into a pillow. Her Chansey comforted her on the side of the bed. Auroras Pokédex rang and she looked to see what had messaged her.

She saw 'K' from Percy and quickly grabbed her phone. Percy responded to Professor Oaks message. She smiled as tears dripped down her face. Most of the Prodigies thought Percy had bled out somewhere and died.

He was deathly injured and didn't respond to anything for two days so the assumption was done with reasonable evidence. They didn't stop looking but all hope they had was lost at the start of the second day. Percys message was just enough to confirm that he was alive and that was all Aurora needed.

She immediately messaged Percy to see if he will tell her where he is. He didn't. Regardless Aurora was happy that Percy was still alive. The Prodigies shared their enthusiasm around the board and slowed their search. If Percy had needed help he would've asked them but he didn't so he was probably okay.

Although they all wanted to see him as soon as possible they had less of an urgent look. Jason, Jasper and Ash still held a solid amount of resentment towards Luna. Luna had been festering in jealously and hate the entire time. After all she had been crushed by a boulder and because Percy decided to run away he gets all the attention.

Even Grace, her sister, had been spending less time with her while looking for Percy. Luna could get out of the hospital bed in a couple of days as her leg was almost completely healed. Grace still didn't understand what made Luna act the way she did and it made it hard to stick by her side.

Grace just wants everyone to exist by each other in happiness and peace. None of the other Prodigies have found out the reason Percy had suddenly ran away but chalked it up to him being overwhelmed, which in a way was true.

Percy awoke from his sleep, groggy and a little sore a day later. It was early morning and the sun was still rising. Percy could hear the Caterpie rustling in trees around him. Crash snored in Percys ear and Pharaoh lay on Percys chest. He stood up and fed all of his Pokémon.

Jormun, Beedrill, Crash, Pharaoh and Fúria ate quickly and Percy recalled all of them but Fúria. She sat on top of his head and picked at Percys hair for dirt. He walked away from the nest and was greeted by two hovering Butterfree. "I'm going to go and weaken the Pidgey. I'll be back before nightfall." Percy whispered. Both Butterfree nodded and let Percy pass.

He left the Butterfree colony and started on his way to the Pidgey clan to the Northeast. His feet made near no noise on the long grass and his stealth made him virtually unnoticeable. A bird Pokémon with Keen Eyes would be able to see Percy but nothing else could.

Percy reached the outskirts of the Pidgey territory that Fúria identified. He crawled in a little deeper and layed on his back looking up into the blue sky. And then he waited. He thought on himself and waited to hear for the sound of flapping wings or screeching birds. 3 hours later Percy still lay there when a sudden screeching reached his ears. He sat up suddenly and looked around.

A Pidgeotto and 3 Pidgey were using Gust on the ground about 20 meters away from Percy. Blood splattered against the ground and Percy got up and released Pharaoh and Crash. He scanned the Pokémon and saw that it wasn't too worrying. The Pidgeotto was level 25 and the Pidgey were level 14, 16 and 17.

All of them had white potential and had nothing particularly interesting about them. A Rattata lay bloody and broken on the ground beneath them and the Pidgey landed and starting eating. The Pidgeotto landed next to the Pidgey and watched its surroundings.

Percy signaled to Crash, Pharaoh and Fúria and he quickly crouch ran toward the Pokémon. Crash leaped out of the grass grabbing the Pidgeotto by its neck and diving back into the long grass. The Pidgeotto screeched in terror and so did the Pidgey. Fúria leaped out of the grass her hand glowing red.

She swung toward the weakest Pidgey and chopped its neck. The poor Pidgey wasn't prepared and it's neck was broken immediately. The other Pidgey panicky started flying away and screeched in terror.

A large funnel of flame blew out of the long grass and incinerated the Pidgey. The bodies dropped to the floor and Percy could still hear the Pidgeotto and Crash tussling in the grass. Percy instructed Crash to grab the Pidgeotto by its neck and not to let go. By making the flying Pokémon unable to fly it takes away a lot of its moves and strength.

Percy arrived to where Crash was wrestling the Pidgeotto and found the Pidgeotto unconscious at Crash's feet. Crash was covered in minors scratches but otherwise seemed okay and not seriously injured. The Pidgeotto however did not seem so well. It lay in a bloody heap it's leg twitching. One of its wings seemed broken and it's neck was a bloody mess.

Percy hurriedly caught it in a pokeball and caught the other Pidgey. He planned on healing and donating them to the government. Then he stored the dead Pidgey and started on his way closer to the main Pidgey nest. At first he wanted to be stealthy but now that one of the Pidgeottos are missing it'll make the colony more cautious.

Now his big 'plan' was to quickly cover the territory and destroy every other Pidgeotto while avoiding the leader. According to Percy he thought that the approximate level of the leader Pidgeotto was 30. Percy thought that it would at best be a close fight against the Pidgeotto. Even that would be if the leader is alone which is something Percy didn't think would happen. Percy and his Pokémon ran through fields and scanned the sky for Pokémon.

7 hours later Percy was sprinting as fast as he physically could in the middle of a large field. Wind blew around him and screeching could be heard behind him. His hair whipped around his head and his running was boosted by the intense wind behind him.

He was being chased by at least 20 Pidgey and 3 Pidgeotto. After he fought the first Pidgeotto he proceeded to run around the territory destroying every bird Pokémon that came in his sight. Eventually his incredibly reckless and brainless method caused one of the birds to escape and tell the main colony about his actions.

Now most of the remaining bird Pokémon were chasing him. He had defeated 5 Pidgeotto and 20 Pidgey with relative ease. The long grass concealed his presence enough to quickly take out the Pokémon. Fortunately the leader remained at its nest to protect its eggs and young.

So Percy could just barely out speed the Pokémon but he was rapidly tiring and wouldn't be able to maintain his pace. It seems he hadn't completely recovered from his injuries which makes sense seeing as how he shouldn't be discharged from the hospital. His face was panicked and his breathing remained steady. 'Oh shit oh shit oh shit. I've gotta lose them. But how?' He thought to himself.

A wide open field with nowhere to hide was not prime real estate for escaping. The Pidgey and Pidgeotto used Gust to try and attack Percy but he was far enough so that it only felt like a strong wind. His curly hair got caught in his mouth and he spit and spluttered. 'I gotta take them to the Rattata.' His running direction changed slightly facing toward the Rattata colony.

The change in direction caused the Pidgeotto to catch up within move range of Percy. It flapped its wings and a violent gust of wind blew Percy into the air. His body shook and it felt like his body was tearing apart. Fortunately he kept his momentum and landed on the ground rolling. He rolled and stood up his legs pumping.

Percys face became even more panicked. The birds unrelentingly chased Percy until he ran into a group of Rattata. 9 Rattata and 2 Raticate stood in front of Percy absolutely horrified at what's happening. Not once had the Pidgey come in such numbers to attack them. They quickly became angry and screeched back at the birds.

Percy was completely ignored and he was able to drop to the ground in the long grass. He quickly crawled away and watched as the Pokémon clashed against each other. The two Raticate and two Pidgeotto clashed with each other. Percy did not stick around to watch and booked it back to the Butterfree colony. A few minutes later Percy arrived at the Butterfree grove of trees completely out of breath.

He collapsed on the ground sucking in air. The sun was setting and Percy was watching the orange horizon. A Butterfree flew down to Percys side and spoke some words to him. 'Follow.' Is what Percy understood it as. He slowly stood up and followed the Butterfree into the grove of trees.

He stood before the leader Butterfree and lowered his head in respect. 'Have you succeeded?' Percy nodded. "I've weakened the Pidgeotto a lot and I doubt they'll bother you soon." 'Thank you so much. Is there something we can do for you.' The Butterfree was very grateful of Percy. "If you don't mind may I stay here for a couple more days. I just need some time to myself." Percy requested. 'Of course.' The Butterfree trilled. Percy nodded gratefully and left to sleep in his nest. He released all of his Pokémon and slept peacefully.
