Chapter 25

Percy soon arrived at the meeting spot where he found Claire waiting for him. She sat on a bench politely and watched her surroundings. There was still 15 minutes until the designated time arrived so they both came early. Claire noticed him and stood up quickly.

She stood about 20 centimeters below Percy and was quite pretty. Her light brown hair bounced in the light breeze and she looked embarrassed. When Percy had last seen her, her hair was a curly mess but now it was straight and clean.

She was skinny and petite with bigger than average breasts. She wore a pink and white skirt and shirt and was pulling glances from several people. Even Percy blushed slightly when he looked at her the first time. Percy only wore black shorts and a black shirt with a simple Feraligatr design on the front of it.

Percy mentally shook his head and thought to himself, 'I can't think about her like that. This is meant to become friends.' Percy seemed to have not understood that he was on a date right now. Claire sped walked toward Percy and smiled deeply. 'He didn't stand me up!' She thought to herself excitedly.

She had completely been expecting Percy to stand her up.

Claire has already been stood up on multiple occasions and by people significantly less attractive than Percy. "Hello Percy." She said happily. Percy smiled back. "Hello Claire it's nice to see you." "Yes, what kind of food are you looking to eat." In nervousness Claire had done in-depth research on all the restaurants in the area. Percy had skipped breakfast and wasn't very hungry. "I'm up for anything." Percy said. "I know a place where we can eat something. It's just down the street." She smiled and they started walking toward the restaurant.

They chatted casually on the way and got to know each other better. Percy learned that Claire and the other trainers met each other back when they were in the slums of some tier 2 city. They decided together to become trainers and become strong to support their poor families. Their families had to scrape together money and take loans from loan sharks to help their children become trainers.

Most of them were able to get lucky with their starting Pokémon and got Pokémon with good potential. For the ones that didn't they went into the wild and found a better potential Pokémon. Unfortunately most of the green or better potential Pokémon had to be sold in order for their families to stay afloat.

Soon enough they arrived at a restaurant named The Thousand Honey. It seemed to, like most things in this city, specialize in honey themed food. Percy and Claire was seated by a hostess and sat at a table in the middle of a pleasant, homey restaurant. Percy and Claire ordered their food in which Claire ordered Poliwhirl honey steak and Percy ordered Krabby with a dipping side of honey. They talked about random little things while waiting for their food to come.

About 15 minutes later their food came out and they could chow down. They enjoyed their food throughly and Claire commented that she had never eaten out before. "I'm glad that it's with me that you're eating out for the first time." Percy flashed a charming smile and Claire blushed furiously. "I'm happy to be here with you too." Suddenly the restaurant went silent. Whispering from the other people in the restaurant was the only thing that could be heard.

People talked excitedly and nervously and shot glances toward the entrance. Four people walked through the restaurant with their chins held high. The excited whispers got louder. "It's the Honey Clan family!" Some excited person said. 'The Honey Clan family is here? What are the chances of that.' There's many members of the Honey Clan but there's a few people born into the main family branch.

Those people are the ones that are worshipped by the common person but members would still be treated with respect. The people entering right now were part of the main family. The 4 person group were seated right behind Percy and started talking. All four of them held their chins high and looked snotty. Three of them looked like they couldn't be more disgusted with the people around them.

The last man was middle aged and balding he looked slightly less disgusted with the common people. However it wasn't the same disgusted that the other people had on their face, their disgust Percy thought, stemmed from their inherent belief in their superiority. This last man looked like he genuinely knew and felt that he was better than other people.

Percy didn't feel any particular way toward people who thought they were better as most of the social interactions he's having are a first. Most of the people had light brown hair and needlessly fancy clothes and jewelry. Except the man who was as balding, he had on a simple suit and jewelry.

He had a simple but expensive looking watch that radiated simple and powerful competence. The people chatted loudly behind Percy and Percy overheard a boy of about Percys age ask a girl sitting next to him. "Why do we have to be out in the public like this, in this shitty little restaurant." He whispered to her. "Xavier said that we have to show our faces to the people of Honey City.

I don't want to be here either around all these gross people." She responded. The boy scoffed. "I don't even know why Grandpa likes him so much. He just orders us around." Percy just listened quietly and kept up conversation with Claire. Percy and Claire were finishing up their meals and were about to leave when a server came to refill their berry juice.

Suddenly the server tripped over his own feet and the pitcher of juice he held flew in the air. The pitcher of juice flew all over Percy and the people behind him. Percy immediately stood up and tried to help the server up from off the ground. A girl screamed shrilly and stood up knocking her chair to the ground. The boy next to her stood up spluttering and red with anger.

They both turned toward Percy and started walking toward him angrily. A slap landed on Percys left cheek and his head recoiled stopping with his head turned. The girl heaved heavily and smiled. "Thats what you get for spilling juice all over my clothes you fucking peasant." She said the last words with extra acidity. Claire jumped up and tried to defuse the situation.

The server stayed down on the ground and tried to stay out of the girls line of sight. Percys head stayed turned while he processed what just happened to him. "He didn't spill the juice on you!" Claire said trying to help Percy. The girl looked at Claire and scoffed "Who the fuck are you to talk to me." Percy stood still frozen. The boy took a glass of berry juice off of his table and threw the contents onto Claire.

It was now that Percy processed what just happened. 'I don't think I like these people. NO, I hate these people.' He thought. Claires hair was soaked with juice and her shirt was stained orange. Claire's hair started puffing up and she tried desperately to keep it straight. "Ooooh I see now. You were all prettied up for your boyfriend here when in reality your hairs just an ugly mess." The girl sneered. Claire broke down crying and ran out of the restaurant.

Percys hair started floating up despite it being wet. Aura leaked out of every pore and covered his body in it. His hair turned into a floating mess and a vein bulged out of his forehead. "The fucks your problem pussy." The boy pushed Percy but he felt like he pushed a wall. The middle aged man watched it all happen and just kept to himself. A bodyguard sat next to the man and watched the spectacle too.

Apparently something like this wasn't so rare and would happen almost every time they go out. Both men suddenly felt something was wrong and shouted "Wait!" Percys fist propelled by every ounce of aura and muscle in his body sped toward the boys face stopping only centimeters from the boys nose. The stopping force was like a tornado of wind where every ounce of juice that was once on the boys head had been blown back.

His hair slicked back by the sheer force of the punch made him look silly. Percy only stopped because of the mans request. The bodyguard lept out of his seat and was going to tackle Percy. A single glare from Percy stopped those thoughts and the bodyguard stopped in place and cold sweat dripped down his spine. "We are so very sorry for disrespecting you. I would like to apologize for my friends behavior and beg for forgiveness." The man held his head down and tried to beg for forgiveness.

Unfortunately Percy wasn't any ordinary person and would allow himself to be bullied by people of power. The reason the bodyguard didn't draw his Pokémon is because Percy technically didn't do harm to anybody. Technically even if Percy struck the boy he would be doing it self defense. He had already been slapped by the girl and pushed by the boy. Maybe the Honey Clan would win in court if Percy was an average person but Percy had the backing of Professor Oak and his organization.

As long as reasonable force was used to protect himself it would be lawful and therefore Honey Clan would take the blame. Percy clearly didn't use reasonable force. If Percys punch had landed against the boy his head would've been blown off. But if it was only one strike it was also considered reasonable force. All of this information was processed by Xavier in a few seconds. "I realize that you are a Prodigy. If you could forgive us we would be glad to sponsor you." Xavier requested. Xavier had genuinely just remembered that Percy was a Prodigy.

Honey City was under him and he tried to remember everything important that happened. He glanced up and saw Percys eyes staring at him. Nothing but violence and anger could be seen. Percy remained silent as if it wasn't enough for him to accept the apology. Xavier gulped and went from his slightly bent standing position to a kneel in front of Percy. "What the hell are you doing Xav—" The girl started "Shut the hell up you idiot." Xavier growled. Percy looked down at Xavier and scoffed. "Cover the bill." He said before leaving the restaurant and looking for Claire.

Inside the restaurant everybody was completely silent. Xavier stood up, fixed his tie, and paid for Percys bill. After paying for Percys bill he strode out of the restaurant with his people in tow. He wasn't angry at Percy for anything. This might seem weird at first as Percy made him embarrass himself in front of other people but there was a good reason.

Percys reaction as a person of power and status in the world was understandable. He was publicly embarrassed as well as the girl he was with. Xavier blamed his accomplices for the incident. He only got them to come into the public as it would help with their public image, but that was shattered quickly. Percy was surely not strong enough to stand against the Honey Clan.

There's at least hundreds of people in Honey Clan that can defeat Percy with relative ease. It's just that Percy was right in every form. He was being publicly embarrassed and assaulted and reacted in a reasonable manner. If Percy had hit and killed that boy he would've just had to gone to court where he would've won as he had Professor Oaks support.

Becoming enemies with Professor Oak was something that nobody wanted to do so Percy might not even be taken to court. Percy didn't think about much of the repercussions as he was relatively inexperienced with the law. Xavier is arrogant but by no means is he stupid. He was only able to rise to such a high position of power because he knew where his boundaries were. After leaving the restaurant Xavier promised to himself to never do anything for the grandchildren of Honey Clan.

His position was chief advisor of the Clan head of Honey Clan. He's respected by almost everyone in the clan except for the grandchildren. Even the Clan Head respected him and trusted his decisions. If the Clan Head got whiff of the situation he would easily take Xaviers side and punish his grandchildren. Percy had just exited the restaurant and looked around for Claire.

He couldn't find her until he saw a trail of juice on the ground. He followed the juice trail and ended up in front of an alley where he found Claire crying and huddled in a ball. "Hey." Claire looked up and saw Percys face looking at her concernedly. When she saw his face she immediately put her hands over her hair and tried to keep the curly mess hidden. She was always made fun of for her unruly and messy hair.

She had specifically bought a high quality hair straightener to look good for Percy. Her money she had made in the past month for herself went to the hair straightener to look good. Her outfit was also something that cost a good deal of money that she didn't have much of. In the end another girl in her group had to lend her some money to make everything work.

Even makeup was purchased by her to give her every bit of confidence she could get. To Claire everything was going great but went downhill suddenly. Percy kneeled down in front of Claire and put her head into his chest. He had seen it once on tv in a cheesy romance movie. Claire kept on violently crying overwhelmed with her life. Percy rubbed her head and comforted her until she stopped crying about 10 minutes later.

Mascara left black stains on her face and she buried her head in Percys chest feeling his warmth. After sitting in that position for over ten minutes Claire muttered some words. "What's that." Percy asked softly. She had talked into his chest and he couldn't hear a thing she said. "Thank you." Claire put her face in Percys chest again apparently embarrassed at her current state.

She breathed in Percys scent one more time before abruptly standing up. "Thank you very much for paying for lunch when I ran out. I hope we can do this again sometime." She said almost robotically. Almost immediately after talking she hightailed it out of the alley red faced. "Wait! Do you need me to walk you home." Percy shouted. She heard him but didn't turn around and kept running away. Percy looked around confusedly and muttered to himself, "What an odd day."
