Chapter 7

After double checking to make sure he didn't leave anything behind, Percy left his room and went to the appointed location he was supposed to meet Jason at.

Percy admired Jason since he was such a great trainer. Jason stayed calm and made good decisions in battle which Percy had yet to achieve.

Jason's relationship with his Cyndaquill was also much better than Percys relationship with Crash. Cyndaquill wouldn't hesitate on Jason's orders and would execute them perfectly.

Crash on the other hand wasn't so great. While he didn't hesitate the reason was solely because he was a bit dull in the brain and couldn't distinguish Percys orders from his own thoughts.

Percy still loved Crash and Crash still loved Percy, they just weren't as synced up as Jason and Max. Jason also thought highly of Percy. He thought it was incredible that Percy was able to build such a great relationship with a difficult Pokémon like Crash.

Jason thought that Percys thought process was something he could really learn from. After a short walk to the meetup spot, Percy saw Jason leaning against a wall with his Pokédex out. "Hey." Percy greeted Jason.

"Hey man. Damn you smell bad!" Jason laughed and then said "Did you change at all?" Percy didn't change his clothes since he left his house. 'I forgot to buy clothes'. "No I forgot." He said embarrassed.

"How the hell do you forget to change your clothes." Although Percy packed his clothes from his house he didn't change into them. He was just so caught up with his new exciting life that he completely forgot about some necessities.

He always showered and brushed his teeth though. All of his clothes were stored inside of his Pokédex. After talking for a little bit they thought it wasn't appropriate for Percy to leave in smelly clothes so on their way to the meeting spot they stopped in a public bathroom for Percy to change.

He changed into a simple black t shirt and black jeans. He had dark grey boots and the same shade gray beanie. "That's what I'm talking bout." Jason sniffed the air and noticed the nasty smell no longer plagued Percy.

"Much better." After Percy changed, he and Jason made their way to the meeting spot once more. After walking for about 10 minutes they made it to the meeting spot which was the north gate. The north gate was guarded by guardsmen and was the entrance to Route 1.

After arriving at the gate they saw a girl of about their age leaning against the gate. "I guess that's her." Jason said. Percy stiffened up as he saw her, it was the girl Crash ran into. Fortunately she never saw his face.

She only knew that a blue Pokémon ran into her. Percy also changed his clothes so there is no way she would recognize him. She had bright blonde hair, a pink scarf, and high heels. The only reason she didn't get escorted by the bodyguards is because her parents thought it would be good if she interacted with kids her age.

The boys walked up to the girl and said their hellos. "Finally you guys are here." She glanced at them. "Let's get going. I don't really want to waste time with you guys." She sneered and walked toward the gate.

Jason looked toward Percy, Percy shrugged his shoulders and followed the girl. They went through the gate where the guards asked for their information. Percy and Jason pulled out their respective Pokédexs.

The guard looked surprised and apologized to them. 'Apparently this Pokédex is a sign of power.' Percy said there was no need for an apology and walked through the gate with Jason.

They then stepped into Route 1 and started their journey to Honey city. After walking in uncomfortable silence for about 10 minutes Percy felt Jason requesting a telepathic link.

Percy accepted Jason's request and heard Jason's voice in his head. 'What's up with this girl. She seems like a bitch.' Jason said. Meanwhile he kept a completely neutral face as he walked on the Route 1 path.

'I don't know man. There are always gonna be people like this. People who think they are better for some reason or another. Let's just get this job over with.' Percy said. After their conversation they just walked behind the girl for about 5 more minutes.

Percy got tired of the silence and asked the girl a question. "May I get your name." He asked. "Charlotte." She said without turning around. She proceeded to pull out a pokeball and released a Pokémon. A Ponyta appeared next to her.

When the Ponyta came out it looked excited but when it saw Charlotte standing next to it it became depressed. Charlotte climbed on top of the Ponyta and slammed her heels into the side of it.

The Ponyta neighed in pain but ran into a canter. It seemed like it would only suffer more pain if it didn't listen. It ran at about the speed of an average adult. "Little bitch" Percy mumbled. He looked over to Jason who gave him a complicated look.

Then they ran after the Pokémon as it cantered into the distance. Although it is a Ponyta it was not running at full speed which allowed Percy and Jason to keep up with a pleasant jog. Both of them took really good care of their bodies so they could easily keep up the pace.

After running for about 2 hours straight a group of 5 Ratatta blocked the path. Percy and Jason pulled out their pokeballs and released their Pokémon. There was nothing special about the Rattata when Percy scanned it with his pokedex.

They had an average level of about 14 and only white potential. The Rattata crept forward toward the Ponyta which was at the front. The Ponyta immediately turned around and ran the way they came. After getting behind Percy and Jason, it bucked Charlotte of its back.

She fell face first in the dirt. Percy and Jason were too concentrated on the Rattata to notice. There was still about a 10 meter distance between them and the Rattata. Suddenly 3 of the Rattata rushed forward to meet Crash and Max.

"Aqua Tail let's go." Percy ordered. "Use Leer." Jason ordered. Leer finished first and the 3 Rattatas bodies turned red for a second to show it lost defense. The Rattata ran up to the duo, their smalls claws glowed white and swung at Crash who's tail was covered in water and glowed blue.

2 of the Rattata were faster than the rest and threw themselves on Crash. Crash spun and swung his tail in their directions and slammed against their claws. After a second of stalemate the two Rattata were blown back and thrown against a tree.

One of the Rattata passed out from just that while the other was severely injured. The other that was coming toward Crash claws were also glowing. It was able to catch Crash right after his move finished and now he couldn't dodge.

"Protect!" Percy shouted. While Crash could take the hit and be fine, Percy thought it was a shame if Crash got hit and he had to use a potion. Crash used Protect in time and immediately started preparing Aqua Tail.

Meanwhile Jason had Max finish off the severely injured Rattata with a Flame Burst. He then sent a Flame Burst at the Rattata that haven't moved yet. They were unable to dodge due to the level difference and took a moderate amount of damage.

After they were hit they immediately ran away. Crash was now finished preparing Aqua Tail and brought his tail down in the head of the Rattata that was stuck preparing Scratch. Crash's tail slammed into the Rattatas head and scored a critical hit. It wobbled around for a second before hitting the ground unconscious.

Jason ran up to Percy and gave him a big high five. "Good shit man." Jason patted Percy on the back. Although it was just a couple of Rattata it was their first wild battle and they were able to handle it with so much ease and speed.

The total battle ended in around 10 seconds. Percy and Jason brought all the unconscious Rattata (3) and lined them up. While they were walking to the gate earlier Percy was complaining about having to eat dried meat and fruit for so long.

Jason suggested that they try to cook the Pokémon that they find and learn how to cook for themselves. Jason humanely killed them and stored them in his Pokédex for later. Surprisingly Charlotte was waiting on the side with her Ponyta.

After seeing how effective they were she trusted them a bit more. She knows she would have been in trouble because of the lack of faith her Pokémon have for her. "I need a drink and a snack." She loudly announced.

Percy and Jason looked in her direction shared a look. Percy went into his Pokédex and pulled out a bag of dried apple slices. He tossed the bag towards Charlotte. And turned around to tell Crash something.

Percy asked Crash "Hey buddy can you use water gun in this cup. Just a little bit." He pulled a cup from his Pokédex and held it up to Crash's face. Crash released a small stream of water into the cup. Crash's water was crystal clear and really clean for coming from his mouth.

This is the reason Percy didn't buy water when he was shopping for rations. Percy handed the cup of water to Charlotte and told her their leaving in 5 minutes after they rest. After their 5 minutes of rest Percy and them start on the path.

This time Charlotte kept her Ponyta at a comfortable pace for Percy and Jason. They continued on Route 1 until sunset with no interruptions. After running for so long Percy and Jason were quite tired.

After all that running they were only 1/4 of the distance to Honey City. They set up camp with their tents and supplies a little off the path. Percy gathered fire wood while Jason set up the cooking pot and fire. He had Max light the fire and started to skin the Rattata.

Percy returned after finding fire wood and had Crash fill the pot with water. Jason sliced the Rattata into cubes and asked Percy "Do you want the parts of the Rattata?" After thinking for a second Percy said "Sure". He was planning on using the parts later.

Charlotte was sitting on a log near the fire taking pictures and posting them. Jason poured the cubes of Rattata into the pot of boiling water. He then got some berries and spices into the water. Percy watched carefully and tried his hardest to remember what was going into the stew.

Jason stirred the stew a few times and put the lid on and sat back. "This is a recipe I made up in my childhood. The Rattata meat is most likely going to be too tough for a good recipe. Lets try getting some Pidgey to eat. Their meat tastes pretty good in soup. We should also be careful as this will most likely attract some unwanted attention. I'll send you the spice and berry combination later."

Percy nodded "Thank you." Percy then told Crash to be wary of enemies. About 5 minutes later a nearby bush rustles and a small Sentret came stumbling out. The Sentret eyed the stew greedily and waddled up to Jason with its eyes pleading for some.

Both Percy and Jason knew that Sentrets like to steal and decided to kick it out. They also know that there is rarely only one Sentret and they travel around in a family.

Jason started talking to Percy telepathically. 'Are you ready to fight this Sentret family?' 'Yep' Percy responded. At the same time Percy sent an aura message to Crash telling him to prepare an Aqua Tail.

When Crash was done preparing his Aqua Tail the Sentret thought something was wrong and immediately let out a shrill screech. From the same bush the Sentret came from, two Furret and another two Sentret ran out and stood in between them.

Percy pulled out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon. There was only one Pokémon that was interesting to him and its stats were.

Pokémon: Sentret

Level: 14

Type: Normal

Abilities: Keen Eye

Gender: Female

Potential: Dark Green

Moves: Scratch, Foresight, Defense Curl, Quick Attack, Fury Swipes

The Furret that were what Percy assumed to be the Sentrets parents were both level 16. The Sentret that initially approached them was the one with good potential.

Percy could tell this would be a difficult fight if he didn't play it smart. "Go around the Furret and hit one of the Sentret!" Percy hoped by saying this, the battle would be easier as the parents would be more focused and on protecting their children.

Crash dashed around the Furret and swung his tail toward the low leveled Sentret. One of Furret tried to protect the Sentret but a well timed Flame Burst slammed into its face striking a critical hit. And sent it flying back into the bushes it came out of.

Crash's tail then slammed into a Sentret which caused it to get sent into a nearby tree knocking it out almost instantly. The strength that Crash was putting out was surprising Percy. He didn't think he could one shot that Sentret. Even though there is a level difference he didn't think Crash was so strong.

The Furret that got sent flying by Max's Fire Blast came back and immediately used Fury Swipes on Crash. Crash always stayed in the front since he was more of an frontal attacker that a special attacker. The Furret landed the attack and hit Crash three times.

Crash didn't seem to care and looked at the Furret menacingly. Percy shouted "Bite it and don't let go!" He knows that Totodile has a really strong bite force and can grab onto something and not let go. Crash bit onto the Furret and tore at its body, but he didn't let go.

"Hold it for Max!" Percy said. While Crash was fighting in the frontlines Max was charging up a Fire Blast to hit something. Percy wanted to end it as fast as possible so he thought that the Furret would faint while Crash wouldn't take much damage.

Crash bit tightly onto the Furret and stared crazily into the Fire Blast. Crash seemed to be a bit of a berserker when it comes to battling. The Fire Blast slammed into Crash and the Furret and smoke surrounded them. The remaining Furret and two Sentret were horrified at the brutal scene before them.

They couldn't believe how crazy the trainers would be to be willing to sacrifice their own Pokémon. Without even waiting for another second they ran away as fast as they could. After the smoke cleared away an unconscious Furret could be seen at Crash's feet.

Crash screamed a crazy battle cry and started jumping on the Furrets unconscious body. 'Holy shit.' Percy was scared by his decision to use Crash as collateral. It seemed like Crash really enjoyed being a psychotic battler.

'I've chosen a real piece of work.' Percy thought to himself. Crash screamed and started jumping up and down on the Furrets body. "Good shit man." Jason patted Percy on the back. "I can't believe you did that. It was bad ass though. Now let's eat this soup!"

Jason walked back to the fire and started pouring the soup into bowls for the three of them and their Pokémon. Percy walked to the unconscious Furret and humanely killed it. He stored it in his Pokédex and went to the unconscious green potential Sentret.

Percy planned on selling the Sentret as it would fetch a quick buck on the market. It had the Keen eyes ability which was pretty good for a Sentret. It was also Dark Green which meant it was close too Yellow where the cost would become even higher.

He bet that he could get at least. 3000 for the Sentret. Sentrets were relatively easy to tame so it had a lot of value as a starter Pokémon. Percy used a pokeball on the Sentret and walked back to the fire.

Jason had finished putting the stew into 6 bowls. Crash was only mildly injured and could heal after a good meal. Percy wasn't planning on using the Sentret so he would wait until they get to a Pokémon center.

Percy sat on a log and picked up his portion of soup. Percy ate the soup slowly savoring every bite. The soup had a great blend of spices and berries. The meat was really tough though and barely added any flavor.

Percy was finished all the contents and drank the hot broth. The broth was probably the best thing Percy has ever tasted in his life. Although Brooke cooked for him at home, he was just a slightly below average cook.

Percy had to eat a lot of frozen food. Everybody finished their soup and Crash was almost healed. Percy thanked Jason and said he was turning in for the night. "Goodnight." Jason said. Percy went into his tent with Crash and fell asleep.
