Chapter Seventeen

It didn't take long for the spirits to lead Wei Wuxian to where they've been taken, and where he came up to wasn't what he expected to come across because he could feel one of his divine beasts inside the large cave. Entering the Cave Wei Wuxian wents deeper into the cave to hear yelling and screams from both females and males.

In the deep part of the cave, there was a large pool of water where the last living divine beast was ready to eat everyone in the cave who invaded his space. Wen Chao was being held by Jin Zixuan with a sword to his throat, while Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji were keeping a woman wielding a branding iron at a distance from another woman who was shrieking in fear.

Xuanwu was ready to attack, but Wei Wuxian, yells out, "A-Wu, stand down, I'll come to you in a bit!" he orders him and the enormous Tortoise creature hears him and stops to stare at Wei Wuxian, "I must deal with a brat first." Wei Wuxian turns the dark crimson red glare to Wen Chao who was shaking even more than being almost eaten by a monster, because of the angry God who was making his way to him.

Jin Zixuan sees that Wei Wuxain has his eyes set on We Chao and decided that he didn't want to be in the firing range so instead, he threw Wen Chao in Wei Wuxian direction before jumping to Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng side who were all in defense because Wei Wuxian was here because they all been warned about him. So must have Wen Chao as he was on his knees shaking in fear from being stared down by Wei Wuxian.

"You must be told of your brother's early demise I am guessing." Wei Wuxian starts with, "How I made him scream for mercy, how I made him bleed over my feet as I watch the life drain from his eyes, as I tore his head from his body for your father to have a reminder, how I made him into nothing!"

Tears streaming in his eyes, Wen Chao was bowing low to the ground with his forehead to the cold stone below. "P-P-PLEASE f-f-forgive me!"

The Glare never lifted once Wei Wuxian felt it was too cruel to take both sons from Wen Ruohan, at least for now. "Go and don't let me catch you here again, or I won't leave anything left of you for your father to bury."

Nodding vaguely, Wen Chao jumps to his feet and takes off in a run for the entrance with the rest of the Wen Disciples. Wei Wuxian watches them run like dogs with their tails in between their legs, before turning to the rest of the sect's heirs and disciples. "You all can go now, I can promise he won't stop you as he is more worried about his own life."

Everyone nodded, before taking off, well at least some of them as Lan Wangji grunted softly while he fell on a rock holding his leg in pain. The woman who he was protecting kneeled beside him looking worried, Wei Wuxian wanted to run over to his past life lover's side but held back but instead asked, "What happened to Young Master Lan's leg?"

"The Wen dogs burned down Cloud Recesses, and after broke his leg to make sure he didn't run away and dragged him to this stupid Wen teachings." Jiang Cheng was the one to answer before he glares at Wei Wuxian, "and you fucking idiot why in the Hell did you go off and do that shit? Why do you need the Yin Irons?"

"It's complicated Jiang Cheng." Wei Wuxian tells him.

"Complicated? Try this for complicated, I asked Father if we could be sworn brothers when we both came of age last year before you went off and pulled this stunt you fucker!!!" he rages on.

Hearing this almost brought Wei Wuxian to tears. "I'm sorry, Jiang Cheng... I'll make it all better, just give me time."

Taking a deep breath Jiang Cheng calmed down a bit, "Why did you need the Yin Irons?" he asked again.

"I can't tell you here, not now but one day I'll explain it to you, I promise, and if you still want to be sworn brothers with me then I will make it happen." Wei Wuxian promises him.

Nodding knowing that all he was getting, "I will hold you to it."

Wei Wuxian places a hand on his shoulder, "But for now go home to your family, Madam Yu, and Sect Leader Jiang, even your Jiejie is worried about you, go home to them."

"Fine but you better make out of this alive." Jiang Cheng jabs a finger to his chest.

Jiang Cheng was going to Lan Wangji's side ready to help steady him to his feet again, but Wei Wuxian raises his hand and shakes his head, "I'll take him back once I am done here."

Jiang cheng thought of this for a moment before nodding. "Be safe you two." before taking off with the rest of the Jaing Cheng disciples. Lan Wangji watches Wei Wuxian wearily, and We Wuxain gives him a reassuring smile.

"I will get you back to your family," he promises the Young Master of Gusu.

"No family." Lan Wangji says.
