Chapter Seven

Once in the Library Wei Wuxian took his seat at one of the disciple tables and waited to be given the scrolls, paper, and ink so he may start and get this over with. Lan Wangji has given him the materials and Wei Wuxian without saying a word other than "Thank you" got to work. Lan Wangji sat at a teacher's desk so he could watch Wei Wuxian who just sat across the room from, making sure he didn't slack off or try and run off before finishing his punishment. He watched as Wei Wuxian didn't even open the scrolls just yet but he was already starting to write.

Lan Wangji just figured he must have memorized the first few from the stone that has the rules carved on the side of it, but the longer he watched Wei Wuxian, the longer he watched that Wei Wuxian didn't even use the scrolls but kept writing.

Thinking that he was already messing around like Lan Wangji already figured he might do before they even came here, Lan Wangji get up from his spot and came around to Wei Wuxian's side to read over his shoulder to see that Wei Wuxian was INDEED was writing down the rules and he was more than halfway through.

Wei Wuxian looks over and smirks at the puzzled look on Lan Wangji's face. "Are you curious about how I know most of the rules?" knowing very much well where this going to lead.

Lan Wang didn't say anything but he didn't look away either, he just waited to see what Wei Wuxian would say, "What if I told you that I helped create the first few hundred, would you believe me?"

Lan Wangji looked furious at Wei Wuxian's question because he figured the boy was just teasing him, and Wei Wuxian laughing didn't seem to help either, so Lan Wangji turned on his heel and went back to his table but not before he said, "Ridiculous!" Wei Wuxian's smirk only grew thinking, 'I have always love to tease such a reaction out of Lan An when he was young. I am over the moon to learn this trait seemed to have passed down through generations.'

Shaking his head, Wei Wuxian remembers a time where he was admittedly known for being mischievous and always causing trouble for others, never taking anything seriously, as he let is the title of being the son of the first of Gods get to his head, but that was his downfall, and swore to never act in that way again, and now it seems as if those times were nothing but another life perhaps. Once he made the first spirit he grew in the responsibility of being the caregiver and both a father and mother figure to all those that came after.

It did only take Wei Wuxian another hour before he was fully finished. Handing it over to Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian stretched out his back not having been slumped over a desk for ages as he was in a box for so long. It was a few hours before dinner and Wei Wuxian figured he would have one more meal with the Jiang sibling before leaving himself.

"Lan Wangji would you mind showing me around, before dinner? I would like to get some fresh air." Wei Wuxian asks the young master.

Lan Wangji who just finished looking over the list that Wei Wuxian just made nods up at him while only saying, "Mn."

It only becomes evening but enough time for a walk so Wei Wuxian and Wangji, side by side walked the grounds of Cloud Recesses. They came across the river that wrapped itself around the entire mountain. Everything was peaceful and calm up here on the wooded side of the mountain, but it came to a halt when Wei Wuxian started to hear a familiar whispering sound he hasn't heard in a very long time, and Wei Wuxian's gaze darkened.

"Lan Wangji, may I ask why you have a piece of Yin Iron here in the mountain?" Wei Wuxian asks the young master."

"What's the Yin Iron?" Lan Wangji never heard of it before, and Wei Wuxian believed him but that didn't mean he was going to let it go either.

Following the whispers of what was his Wei Wuxian came across a deep side of the mountain that looked to be just a normal wall, but Wei Wuxian wasn't easily fooled, as it was HIS magic that was hiding the entrance of the cave. With ease, Wei Wuxian walks through the opening disappearing from Lan Wangji's sight. Terrified for once Lan Wangji calls out, "WEI YING!?!"

A hand shoots out from the barrier and takes Lan Wangji's arm and pulls him inside the mountain as well. Being brought inside Lan Wangji's breath started to let frost breathe for how cold it was inside. He turns to looks at Wei Wuxian figuring he must be freezing, knowing the wouldn't be used to this sort of cold unlike Lan Wangji who meditates in the springs that is the same temperature as the cave, but Wei Wuxan seemed to be fine, instead he was focused on his search of something.

Going deeper inside, they were met with a large opening, and in the middle of the cave was a Guqin, and above it hidden with its power was a quarter piece of the Yin Iron. Build up anger-filled Wei Wuxian because he trusted Lan An who he raised as his own. "I know you are in here, come out child." Wei Wuxian calls out to what seemed to be an empty cave.
