Chapter Forty-Two

The news of the Yiling Patriarch killing the Sect. Leader of Jin spread far and wide until it reached the ears of Lan Wangji who was devastated wondering if what Jin Guangyao showed him was true. That Wei Wuxian bewitched him to love the man, so he would become blind and not see the true person Wei Wuxian was, which must be a monster as everyone described.

Once again Lan Xichen, Lan Wangji, and Jin Guangyao found themselves at the Hanshi where Lan Xichen was questioning Jin Guangyao with, "What you showed us, is it true? Is that what Nie Mingjue found?"

"Yes."

"And why didn't Nie Mingjue not tell me you two made up from before?"

"You know that man and his pride." Jin Huangyao shakes his head. "He would rather die than admit he made up with me."

Lan Xichen knew the truth in those words. "Then why didn't Nie Mingjue come to me with this? I am his sworn brother, shouldn't I have known?"

"There aren't many things Nie Mingjue and I agreed with but keeping you from harm's way is something we see eye to eye with A-Huan." Jin Guangyao gives a sympathetic look to him. "But now Nie Mingjue and my late brother will never be given justice as Wei Wuxian disappeared and no one knows where to find him."

"I know where he is." Lan Wangji says.

Both Lan Xichen and Jin Guangyao stare at him waiting for him to speak. "He has a cottage up on Yiling Mountain where he hid me and Sect. Leader Jaing and Madam Jiang."

"Could You take us there?" Jin GuangYao asks.

"Mn." was Lan Wangji's answer.
