Kaleidoscope of Memories

Diving into the mind of others is quite dangerous. The diver has to have a lot of skills and experiences in order to pull off the dive successfully without getting trapped within the mindscape. Or accidentally cause irreversible damages to the mindscape.

Good thing that I have plenty of skills and experiences.

More than that, I have the power to do so with impunity.

Even if Zhao Liu has not been severely crippled mentally and physically, I can still force myself into her with or without her permission. But I do prefer that she willingly lets me into her.

It is more fun that way. Hopefully for the both of us.

Not really sure if I am still talking about diving into her mind and extract the actual whereabout of the Sect Leader. Probably not.

I drop the grin and focus on the task at hand… with both hands. It is quite easy to fuck this mind diving up, and it will not be pretty for Zhao Liu if I fucked up. Any changes to her memory regardless of how small, can cause great alternation to her personality.

Despite what had happened between Zhao Liu and I when we first come face to face, I still like her to be herself. Just like I have stated previously, if I wanted a mindless sex slave, I would have just created one myself.

Her mindscape is not as complex as most of the minds that I have entered before. Therefore, accessing her memories is rather a straight forwards experience. The most recent memories are the most easiest to access.

The latest memory she has is actually about me, and I have a look to see what she is feeling about me then. Just out of curiosity, of course.

Anger.

Hatred.

Murderous.

Doubt.

Okay. The last one is weird, and diving a little bit deeper, I learn that it is not directed at me. Strangely, it is directed at herself for her failure. Failure in reaching the Spiritual Realm.

It was her first attempt to ascend into the Spiritual Realm. If she keeps trying, she will surely succeed.

No one is perfect. As long as Zhao Liu can pick herself up after the fall, she has nothing to worry about for the future. Giving up is the only true defeat in this world.

Since I am literally in her mind right now, I can switch these emotions around to a more positive ones, like love, infatuation and obsession. If I do, it will cause confusion in Zhao Liu, but she will come around and accept those emotions of hers.

This is literally mind control.

It is not that hard to screw with a girl's heart. I actually do not need to be in their mind to do so. Yeah, I am that much of a bastard, but I am a loveable bastard. Hahaha.

I leave those emotions of hers alone since I dislike mind controlling people for whatever reason.

Coercing people into doing what I want is fine. It is not like I have stripped away their freewill. I merely remove any other options they might have and force their hands to my liking. The choice to accept my offer is always theirs.

Anyway, the next memory that I have a look is Zhao Liu's journey into the Spiritual World.

Zhao Liu has only made it to the Dimensional Gate before the Gate Guardians blocks her path. Despite that, it is still worth a look. Just to see who or maybe what had handed her ass to her.

There are a great many paths leading into the Spiritual World. Most of those paths are guarded by the Gate Guardians. The rest of the paths are not officially guarded, but it is still not easy to pass through those unguarded gates into the Spiritual World. They are unguarded for a reason.

"You are not welcome here, cultivator," the spiritual beast growls into my ears. It is a very strange sort of feeling, as I am watching the memory through Zhao Liu's eyes.

I will see what she had seen. Likewise, I will hear what she had heard.

"Why not? This is the entrance into the Spiritual World, isn't it? I must go through in order to be with my sister!" Zhao Liu response to the spiritual beast, and from the appearance and aura of the spiritual beast, it is far more than Zhao Liu could handle.

Zhao Liu is facing more than just one spiritual beast. She is actually facing four of them, and she is too eager to challenge them.

It is unfortunate that Zhao Liu cannot feel their spiritual might, or she would have turned back and try a different mean instead of fighting her way through. The battle only lasts like one attack.

Good thing that Gate Guardians have no intention of killing anyone, cultivator or not. They are actually there to guard the Spiritual World against something else entirely.

Cultivators are not really a major concern to the denizens of the Spiritual World. Even so, cultivators cannot just pass through into the Spiritual World freely.

Once I am done looking at all the recent memory, I begin searching for the last time that Zhao Liu has talked to the Sect Leader. It should not be that long ago.

"Do not question me, Zhao Liu," a supreme beauty chastised Zhao Liu, and she is definitely a 10. That is why I have called her a supreme beauty.

From the emotions associated with the memory, I learn that this supreme beauty is the Sect Leader. I also learn of her name, and it is Zhao Yao. Another Zhao. That is quite interesting.

What is more interesting is the wind stone hanging around her neck. She has turned it into a necklace – what the actual fuck!?

"I am only worry about you, sister," Zhao Liu assures.

"Do not call me sister. I am a Sect Leader now," Zhao Yao snaps. "And do not worry about me. Worry about yourself. Why aren't your cultivation in the Spiritual Realm yet? You should be able to enter the Spiritual World with the information that I have given you."

Zhao Liu lowers her head since I am looking at the Zhao Yao's feet now. This is the most annoying thing about reviewing a foreign memory. I cannot move freely. If I could, my eyes would be glued to a much more enjoyable mound.

"I need to stabilize my foundations first… Sect Leader," Zhao Liu answers. "If I form my spirit now, my spirit will be too unstable to enter the Spiritual World, and I might not be able to return."

Zhao Yao flexes her hand, allowing her long red sleeve to snap at the air. "I've done it just fine, so you should be able to as well because you are a Zhao. When I get back from my meditation, I expect you to be in the Spiritual Realm. If not, do not show your face around me."

With that, Zhao Yao retires to her secret chamber to meditate. It will be a few weeks before she comes back out.

"You have changed… sister," Zhao Liu mutters weakly before leaving the area.

I pull myself out of that memory and quickly collect my thoughts.

Zhao Yao must have entered the Spiritual World after retiring to her secret chamber. She must in order to meditate, cultivating her foundations. Therefore, if I get into her chamber, I might be able to locate where she is in the Spiritual World.

Better yet, I might be able to forcibly pull her back into the Mortal Coil. It really depends on what Zhao Yao is doing at the moment. If she is just meditating in the Spiritual World, forcibly pull her back is the best course of action.

I rather not enter the Spiritual World right now.

Since I now have the last location of where Zhao Yao on the Mortal Coil, I do not need to continue to dive into Zhao Liu's mind and going through her memories and personal thoughts.

Or do I?

Time flows very differently within the mindscape. Barely a minute has passed since I have a look in her mind, so I can spare another minute to gather some good blackmailing materials.

While I do have several means of making Zhao Liu willingly dances to my tune without resorting to the power of a Divine Emperor, I am not going to say no to more secrets. There can never be more secrets, as it is fun to see people panics.

I am pretty evil. Hahaha.

There is also something I want to confirm by going through Zhao Liu's memories, and my suspicion is correct, I should prepare for it. Actually, I should just prepare it for it anyway. Just in case.

I can never be crazy prepared enough!
