-------

Ling Fan woke up and was shocked to realize that he was no longer himself. Why was that? Well, he discovered that his hands and feet had become smaller overnight, and he had transformed into a kid when he woke up.

What made Ling Fan even more frustrated was that all his previous strength and spiritual power had disappeared completely, as if they had never existed. This situation would be a tremendous blow to anyone, let alone a cultivator like him, who was about to undergo a crucial tribulation and ascend to a higher realm. It was a truly disheartening experience, even if it happened to an ordinary person.

In that moment of realization, Ling Fan felt a deep sense of despair. Just imagine, after dedicating himself to cultivation for thousands of years, all his efforts had inexplicably gone to waste. The impact of this setback was truly immense.

Several hours passed. He gradually recovered from the overwhelming shock. As he carefully surveyed his surroundings, a surge of anger suddenly rose within him.

As it turned out, Ling Fan found himself in a garbage dump. His naked and tender body was buried amidst a pile of assorted rubbish, including smelly shoes, worn-out socks, and vegetable scraps. It was an utterly intolerable situation! In the past, he had been a respected figure in the realm of cultivation, and now he had been reduced to such a humiliating state, discarded like garbage. It was a profound humiliation!

Ling Fan truly wanted to get up and curse aloud, but self-discipline restrained him. He reminded himself to accept the situation and realize that acting impulsively would only be futile. His immediate priority was to understand what had happened and figure out how to face this new reality.

Ling Fan recalled that he had been studying a mysterious stone he had obtained by extorting a demonic sect. He had never seen such a strange stone before. Although it can be considered a rare spirit stone, it lack any trace of spiritual energy. Strangely, the stone emitted a mysterious glow that changed colors at irregular intervals, defying any discernible pattern.

But what puzzles Ling Fan even more was the stone's immensely powerful restriction. Its seal was so strong, surpassing anything any seal that he had encountered in his vast experiences. Despite his extensive knowledge, this stone, which had consumed countless hours of his contemplation, remained a mystery.

To Ling Fan's frustration, even with his current abilities, he couldn't break the restriction. But was he the kind of person who would be scared off by difficulties? Absolutely not! He was the type of person who would venture into the tiger's den even when he knew there was a tiger there! Moreover, he was hailed as a peerless prodigy. He was the type of person who thrived on challenges, and the more difficult they were, the more they stimulated his potential!

Indeed, Ling Fan lived up to his reputation. After dedicating many years and combining unique unsealing techniques of Buddhism, Taoism, Demon, and Witchcraft, he finally forcefully broke the seal on the mysterious stone.

Before continuing, it's important to note that Ling Fan had a strange fascination. He loved delving into all kinds of strange and extraordinary things. The more strange, the more it piqued his interest. Whether it was witchcraft, developing techniques, or alchemy, he devoted considerable effort to researching them and achieved remarkable results. If he were to be assigned a modern-day profession, he could easily be considered a postdoctoral researcher.

With his unyielding spirit of dedicated researcher, Ling Fan deliberately suppressed his own realm to avoid transcending. In his view, he was content with his current life and saw no reason to rush towards ascension, which might bring unforeseen consequences.

However, even without ascending, Ling Fan's strength was formidable. Even if four or five already ascended immortals were to challenge him, they would not necessarily defeat him. This was not solely due to his spiritual power being strong but rather his extensive knowledge and mastery of countless modified powerful techniques. Those who faced him experienced completely different ending, some often being defeated within a few moves, inexplicable having convulsions, their gazes became blank, and their mouths foaming. What was even more unsettling was that anyone who crossed paths with Ling Fan would be left with varying degrees of lingering effects.

Therefore, many cultivators preferred to offend immortals rather than engage in a battle with Ling Fan. In their eyes, he blatantly disregarded the rules of martial arts and fairness, using techniques typically used by villains. Over time, Ling Fan became known throughout the cultivation world as the "Evil Genius."

Returning to the story, the moment the restriction was broken, a brilliant seven-colored light burst forth from the stone. An immense and terrifying power surged forth. Fortunately, Ling Fan reacted swiftly and cast a protective spell, but he was still sent several miles away, sustaining serious injuries.

For someone to injure, Ling Fan was unbelievable in the entire cultivation realm. With his title "Evil Genius" and his acknowledged status as the peerless prodigy and strongest cultivator, Ling Fan hadn't suffered any injuries for thousands of years. The last time he was wounded was during a fierce battle with a black mysterious qilin 3,600 years ago. Ling Fan carelessly got minor injury, but in the end, he tamed the black mysterious qilin.

Yet, despite his tremendous power, Ling Fan, who had remained injury-free for millennia, found himself wounded in this incident, and the injuries were not small. The stone that caused this damage was truly remarkable!

Injured and not in the mood to heal his wounds, Ling Fan's foremost concern was the fate of the stone. He hurriedly made his way to examine it. However, just as he began to move, a flashing seven-colored sphere struck him with incredible speed, vanishing in an instant. More accurately, it penetrated his body. To his surprise, the injuries he had sustained miraculously healed, and his strength instantly increased by more than thirty times.

Ling Fan, who usually remained composed, was dumbfounded by this inexplicable turn of events. He stood there in a daze, failing to notice that his sudden surge in power had attracted heavenly tribulation.

However, another strange occurrence took place. The overwhelmingly powerful heavenly thunder, radiating a destructive light, assimilated into his body like a river flowing into the ocean. Contrary to expectations, the heavenly thunder's entry didn't cause substantial harm to Ling Fan. On the contrary, it brought him tremendous benefits, tempering his muscles and veins, and expanding his cognitive abilities.

At that moment, Ling Fan experienced a flash of comprehension. A myriad of inspirations flooded his mind like an endless universe, dazzling like an expanse of twinkling stars. He suddenly realized everything he had not fully grasped before, and all the research projects he had yet to delve into became clear in that instant. He couldn't contain his excitement because he felt that he had touched the truth!

The deeper he went, the more abundant his gains. He was completely engrossed and intoxicated by this strange and mystical experience. However, somehow, he noticed that his mind was filled with illusions. Ling Fan didn't dare to be negligent and quickly entered a state of deep meditation, eagerly absorbing the transformative inspiration.

Then, the scene changed, and the entire world plunged into pitch darkness, engulfing everything. Then, countless irregularly moving rays of colorful light appeared abruptly. These rays were enchanting, resembling the complicated pathways within the human body, complex yet harmonious. He sensed an indescribable understanding of space and time.

The scene changed multiple times, and Ling Fan's consciousness became increasingly blurred to the point where he couldn't remember how many times it had shifted.

When he regained his senses, he discovered that he was no longer himself but had transformed into a child!

That's how the events unfolded!

Ling Fan looked at the sky with a mix of speechlessness and astonishment. However, in just a glance, he realized something shocking. The color, size, and position of the sun clearly conveyed a message—this was not the cultivation world.

Stay calm, he reminded himself, trying to maintain his composure.

After taking deep breaths and using skills to clear his mind, he finally managed to calm down. Using his keen intellect, he analyzed the possibilities of his current situation:

1. Rebirth in Another World. This meant he had taken over someone else's body in this world, but his memories and consciousness remained his own.

2. Transmigration to Another World. In this case, he had been transported to a different world by an unknown force, although its still his own body, it had undergone a series of changes.

3. This is all an illusion. He also considered the possibility that he was within an illusion, and everything around him was not real.

...

After listing a series of possible scenarios, Ling Fan began to analyze which one was most likely based on his analysis.

After careful analysis, he came to the conclusion that he had transmigrated to a different world. This conclusion was based on the fact that his current body is still his body before being transported into this world, and everything around him was not a dream. Transmigration seemed to be the closest possibility to his current situation.

This scenario is incredibly frustrating!

A respected figure had suddenly turned into a powerless little kid without any warning. This was truly an immensely frustrating situation!
