1 Run, Remus. Run!

"Come on. We expected better from you."

After-school detention.

Remus had always been a trouble-maker for his strength, or everyone thought he was. He has always been feared. He could kill someone just by simply pushing.

"Again, Remus. This will be the last time. Here at the University, we don't tolerate bullies." Trying to be as calm as possible, the principal cautioned. He was looking straight at Remus, while the 17-year-old schoolboy looked at his shoes. He tried to speak, but he does not know how to explain his situation. "We gave you three chances to change."

As he gained strength to speak, he opened his mouth. "Sir, I don't know how I'm doing this." He tried not to cry, because he, himself, does not know how did he do it. "I just tried to defend myself a-and..."

The principal signed forms, then concluded, "Okay, let's just put it this way. Community service for one week." He passed the forms, apologized. "I'm very sorry, Mr. Remus. This will be the last time. I want your parents to sign the form." Remus did not mutter a word. Instead, he nods in reply.

He stands up not looking at the principal. As he turned around, he forced a smile. Leaving the office, 5 bullies were waiting for him outside. As he made his way outside, he turned left to ignore the bullies. But he was still being followed. He walked fast, trying to escape them.

"Hey, asshole." One of them called him. But he did not manage to look back. He was trying to escape. "I said, hey, asshole!" He then felt a knuckle on his back. It was strong enough to push him, but it was not for him. He just pretended to fall, not making it obvious that there was something wrong with him. "Why didn't you look back? Are you scared?" He asked. His friends chortled as if they were kids laughing from a boy who tripped. "Stand up!" He commanded.

He stood up weakly, to make it look more believable. "I can't handle all of you." The guy in front chuckled, stepping near him. "Maybe you can handle this." His fist went up to Remus' cheeks, then pretending to get smashed. He bit his lips to make it bleed. They tittered as if he was some little bitch.

They all stopped when a woman stood in front of him. She was wearing a teacher's attire. "Stop this, you guys. Or else, you will all be under Community Service with him." They complained, telling her words she can't understand since they all talk at the same time.

"Barf!" One of them rebuked.

"I would rather have community service with a dog than him!" Another one insisted.

He absorbed everything that was said to him. Their physical force did not hurt him, but their verbal force did.

"Well, then, leave now. Chop-chop! Please stop bullying." They all turned themselves away.

As she gazed back at him, Remus looked away from her. As he looked back at her, a different person was standing in front of him. It was an old lady in a blue dress. She looked like a princess. In shock, he stepped back, "Where is--?"

The old lady replied, "Run, Remus. Save yourself. Find the others."

He did not know what to do, and as he blinked, one, two, three times, the old lady disappeared. Her voice still echoes around her head, as if she wanted him to run. He was still in shock from what happened. What woke his senses was a helicopter landing on his perimeter. He tried running away, but the helicopter was fast enough to be on top of him. He ran, and ran, and ran, and ran. But it wasn't enough.

He tried going left and right. He didn't stop. Until a needle pinched on his neck. He fell conscious but stiff. His muscles felt compressed as if he was getting squished. As the helicopter lands on the ground, an old man in a tux appeared. He ordered two of the other men to carry Remus inside the helicopter. He tries to overhear the conversation.

"Finally, I have captured a real Peculiar. I guess... they really all are connected, and if I capture one, I can capture all... " His consciousness trailed off, together with the voice he had been hearing.
