That night, lady Sam had waited for her husband to return. Robert hardly returned to the main house since he got a new wife. The relationship between him and Lady Sam became worst after she lost their child. 

He had wanted to go over to Lady Lyla but thinking of the fact that he had let her down earlier because of Sam, he decided to return to his room. 

"My lord," Lady Sam welcomed him just when he got to his chamber door. Robert was shocked. In the past, she would wait for him in the room. Seeing her stand outside like a servant made him feel a bit guilty.

"Why are you here?" His guilt soon disappeared after thinking of the recent trouble she had been causing him.

"I am here to apologise," Lady Sam replied. When Robert heard this, he felt that his eyes had seen his ears. Since he married a new wife, Lady Sam had never apologised about anything.
