Patient's curse and within

Rose blinked her eyes open after waking up from a constant horrid dream of blazing fire scattered in the place where two people screamed for help. They were shadows in Rose’s eyes, their appearance was blurred she could not see their faces properly but they looked at Rose straight in the eyes. It was then the alarm clock was to make a noise. She went about her day to work. The white tile floor reflected the flickering of lights above Rose O’Quinn’s head as the sound of her heels echoed in the empty corridor. Her white jacket flutters every step she took, her feet came to halt before the glass door and entered her office. Piles of documents filled her desk but each paper serves a story behind her patient’s mental state and only Rose could unravel the truth behind. Was it curiosity that leads her to such an extent? or is there something to gain from involving herself to them?

Another morning came, it was vibrant and the sunlight slipped through the window and touches her face. She woke up to the warmth of the sun and surprisingly, she rose before her alarm clock could even make a sound. Her room looked cozy but messy, though some cloths are placed everywhere, it created a comfortable ambiance with the help of sunlight. She got up and turned the alarm off before it buzz. Her blue-furred slippers swept under her feet as she got up and walked.

Rose's eyes were puffed that her dark eyes are barely seen. She walked through the slipped sunlight in her house that complimented her hair colour. It radiated close to yellow but strands of brown are still visible. Her clothes were from last night but crumpled, she started to undress one by one and showered for work.

A steamy vapour escaped after Rose opened the door. The cotton towel could barely cover her whole body, But Rose managed to secure the towel. The water was still dripping from her slick hair.

She opened the closet and grabbed whatever her hands laid and put it on, a pair of black jeans and a loose white shirt was rather plain, she thought. "A blazer would spice up my outfit" she hops on the bed to get the black blazer that laid on the headboard.

Drying her hair consumed almost fifteen minutes of her time while doing so. The brushes were pampering her face with colours of autumn and matched it with nude lip tone. She was dazzling, it matches her hair.

Her phone rang as she was arranging her sole to fit in her size eight shoes that have about two-inch heels. Rose grabbed her phone from her classic swing bag on the way out and slammed the door closed before she goes. She dug through her side hair and buried her phone to her ear.

The conversation lasted around two minutes, "All right, I'll be there. Thanks again" and hung up the phone. She began walking in the busy streets like any other day and stopped by the corner which leads to an office.

The bell made a noise when Rose pushed the door open, she sat down and waited. A man in a suit stood before Rose and gave her papers that looked like documents. They had a long conversation and informed Rose before she walks out the door "Congrats on the assets, put them to good use" He bowed his head as a goodbye and swung the door for Rose. "Thanks, attorney!" she was bubbly walking out.

Her hair flowed as she walks by and falls on her shoulder, it was bouncing and soft looking. She arrived in her office about ten in the morning, she took off her blazer and hang it by her chair. Rose grabbed her white jacket and proceeded with seeing her patients.

She walked in the hallway and met gaze with the nurses "Good morning" she smiled, but the nurses looked away and acted as if they did not hear nor see her. Rose sighed and continued walking instead.

They swept by as if she was not there.

She broke the midday hush with a burst of laughter to herself, "I'd rather walk this lonely path than walk alongside gossipers" a smile plastered on her face, yet her voice seems to carry such a lone tone.

It is as though she did not make a single friend in her entire life, her memories were hazy but Rose is confident she had a friend, but could barely form a familiar face in her mind. Rose prepped herself for the next consultation.

She finished meeting with her patients around six in the afternoon. She heads back to her office and hangs her jacket. Rose picked up her blazer from her chair and stretched, releasing the tension and stiff muscles from working all day, a notification pinged from her phone. She took out the phone from her blazer and saw a message under an unknown number. Hesitation builds up before she could even read the message. Rose let out a cold sigh, she would not have recognized him if it was not for an introduction he mentioned.

Then her hands stiffened to the message, she froze remembering what had happened to her yesterday. She tapped her phone to open the notification. Hi Mr. Anderson, Yes I am available. I'll see you

Thursday morning around 11 maybe. I have

have another appointment at 4 that day.]

She lied. There was no appointment allotted for that time it was only for her safety in case 'she' might appear again. Rose is not prepared to face such a thing. She is a smart woman but does not have a strong heart to encounter something paranormal. She reminded herself, I just have to be calm at all times. Perhaps her motto, more like calm now panic later.

Rose changed his contact name and placed the phone down on her glassed desk and organized some papers on her table when her phone lit up from a notification again.

A thank you is not needed yet since she still has not diagnosed him. Rose puts her phone back into her blazer pocket and walked out of the hospital. She looked up to the sight of the humble dusk. It looked pretty, it gradient from yellowish to indigo. She sighed upon the sky, 𝘐 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘮o𝘳𝘳𝘸 𝘸𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦
