...

The Family Avatar had a special relationship with its summons. These spirits were also avatars and hence were called Spiritual Avatars. Different from Artillian's Pathless Origins Avatars.

While spells and skills for utilising, creating, or summoning avatars were incredibly rare, they were not that uncommon. But they were not popular because they could only be used by cultivates who had high reserves of energy like Artillian.

The moment the Family Avatar made a contract with a Spiritual Avatar, its blood, and by extension Artillian's, would mutate to accommodate that new member to the 'family.'

Hestia's family attribute allowed the host and Artillism to drain bloodline power from their 'children and fuse that power with their own power.

All living beings that could reproduce had bloodline power. It didn't mean the creature in question had to have any blood at all. Bloodline power was what the list of inherent abilities that a being would always pass down no matter who it produced as offspring.

Hestia's Spiritual Avatars were hence restricted to only being from creatures that can reproduce. On a small percentage of spiritual beings couldn't reproduce so it wasn't a great disadvantage considering the fact that it 'upgraded' one's bloodline. Artillian could fise with 7 bloodlines. This fact alone was more than enough to excite him and Hestia.

This meant he could gain more attribute powers. Gates were not the only source of elemental power. It was also decided by other factors such as the soul, bloodline, the mind, the body, etc. Bloodline powers had all these within their sphere of influence so one could imagine the possibilities. But Hestia had no intentions of summoning many too many foreign elements as that would reduce Artillian's training time for mastering the others. Each Avatar body could only have one attribute as its own. The family avatar was an exception because of its bloodline-sharing ability.

One had to master their elemental attributes very quickly in order to be a supernatural power because no ability function without that mastery. Often simply referred to as elemental technique, one's ability to manifest, manipulate and adjust elemental powers was extremely important. There was also a high chance in Hestia's mind that elemental mastery had something to do with the peaks.

Altogether Hestia and Artillian came together for a total of ten elemental attributes. That meant Artillian would have to master each one. Because if he lagged behind, the avatar connected to that element would suffer.

Having an avatar was very draining and required one to have massive energy reserves. Not to mention that the Medici Matrix needed a ridiculous amount of power to sustain. Thankfully Hestia was there so she bore most of the burden.

Nevertheless, Artillian would have to put in extra effort than others. The Medici Vault they used was upgraded by many factors so it was no simple vault. It could also act as an energy container.

Every time Artillian summoned an avatar and contracted to it. That meant that the avatar would also have equal access to the energy from the Vault. So the more Avatars Artillian made, the more energy he had to share. So his cultivation speed would drop greatly with each level.

Not to mention he could not cultivate by himself. To rise between each level in cultivation, all his avatars had to be at the same level as the original. In other words, the gap between him and all his avatars couldn't be big otherwise his cultivation would stagnate.

It would only rise if he brought his avatars up to par. In the Knight Peerage, he had 3 avatars. That meant he had to cultivate 3 times to Peak Knight so he could break through and reach Entry Baron. As a Baron, he would have 4 Avatars so the effort would be 4 times. At Viscount, it would be 5 times, at count 6, etc.

Hestia's supply of power, Artillian's new talented body, and the Medici Matrix combined to alleviate most of the strain, but he would still have to put in more effort than others by quite a bit. But this also had a boon that Hestia found very appealing.

'It solidifies his foundation. So he will always be stronger than those at his level. And possibly even higher.'

Especially if he fought with those that had divine power. Artillian would not be the only being to have access to a deity's avatar. Hestia was confident that many powerful prodigies had connections to divine spirits while others had mastered divine magic like Paladins and Priests.

These kinds of powers were known and the most coveted because they were mighty and had almost no weakness. But the weakness that did exist was personalized in Artillian.

Anti-Divinity.

Mortals who had access to divine power couldn't tell what Anti Divinity was even if they were given control of a deity's physical body. Only those born as deities or reformed through ascension to a higher realm of existence could feel such. Hence if Artillian met a user of divine power near his level, he would feel invincible.

This made his family avatar and space attribute main body to be especially frightening because their bloodlines would evolve and they would come would other abilities that could enhance already existing abilities. Suppose Artillian contracted a space-type Spiritual Avatar. This would greatly enhance his control over space as he already had space as his most influential attribute due to the Space Gate.

If Artillian decided to make all his Spiritual Avatars into the space Attribute, they would result in a space-type bloodline of incredible power. This would greatly boost Artillia's space-related powers.

While this was tempting, Hestia had no intention of doing so because Artillian's body already had its spacial power enhanced by the Origin Energy Pyramid. So there would be little to gain in the short run.

'If he is going to repeat attributes it has to be that one. Even then it can only be repeated twice. It will enhance the boy's ability to imitate abilities from all avatars.'
