Artillian learned that he was given a second chance by the fallen goddess Hestia, she had given him the last of her divine essence to bring him back to life. So he makes it his life's mission to restore her to her former glory, however to do that he needs to get stronger himself. He needed to become stronger than the gods! For her he would kill any god, do anything, even searching all from the heavens to the nine levels of hell if need be. For she had given him something he had never had...A reason to live. ...

But she was not just strict on the boy. She also empathised with him to a certain extent.

'No child should have had to do such a thing.'

Hestia pitied Artillian after seeing what he went through to reach such a point.

'He will mature mentally as soon as the process is done. I will make sure of it.'

Artillian's wisdom as well as his intelligence had also improved, as Hestia's presence heavily influenced him as well. While it seemed like their relationship was more symbiotic than parasitic, Hestia had long acknowledged that she would have to pull Artillian along and improve him with time. The runes from the Origin Pyramid were converting him mind, soul and body. It was a complete reconstruction.

'The Orgin Pyramid is the source of the Pathless Origins Cultivation Manual. It's a physical manifestation of complex anti divinity laws anchored by the laws of space to 4 other attributes. Mind, body, soul and spirit respectively.'

Of the six spheres, only five were predetermined. The sixth one would come from the most influential gate within the host. Artillian's spirit gate had influence almost as powerful as his space gate. Hence it took the sixth spot and resulted in the last sphere.

'This is very advantageous in many ways. Especially in regards to our relationship.'

The symbiotic nature of Hestia's fusion with Artillian meant that their spirits would exhibit more power if they were more harmonious.

The best case scenario would be if they had fifty-fifty control of the soul. The spirit gate made it possible for the two souls to harmonize better as it made Artillian' soul more powerful and gave him an even more powerful mind.

But it also meant that if they shared weaknesses as well. Artillian was able to resist divine power even better than most mortals but he was still half a mortal so he was not immune. The other divine half from Hestia also made him weak to anti divinity that wasn't his own. Despite the fact that he also had it as well.

His own anti divinity could not harm him. But he was weak to other's so long as his soul as exposed. He was a human who was weak against anti divinity. This had a lot of ramifications. Such as if a person who understood anti divinity realized Artillians weakness,  they would instantly belive he was a deity in some way as that would be the only explanation.

...

The mind sphere was lightning up and changing Artillians mind thought by thought. Soul strands within Artillian's soul were were being broken down and remade by the sphere that represented the soul. Meanwhile, cell by cell, DNA strand by DNA strand, Artillian was being reformed.

'Which path will the boy take? Which weapons will he choose?'

Heastia was a spear user with a lot of sword wielding experience. She was not much of a fighter, but she had more than enough experience to teach a mortal.

These three identities would stick to Artillian and every Avatar dor the rest of their existence. And with time and experience, Artillian would be able to use his Avatar's abilities.

'He will be able to summon like his family Avatar, or cast healing magic with the purity Avatar, or maybe he could even use necromancy through his spirit Avatar if he trains it in that direction.

Assuming he chooses the sword, spear and shield, he would be able to obtain temporary mastery for each easily for his main body just by mimicking his Avatars.'

The ability to use an Avatars attributes temporarily was called mimicking. One could mimic elemental attributes, weapon mastery, even bodily statuses such as sickness.

According to Hestia's estimates, how many Avatars Artillian could 'imitate' depended on his Peerage.

'He could switch between being a sword, spear or shield expert with ease after practice.'

Artillian wouldn't be able to switch easily or often at the beginning. He also couldn't gather all the weapon abilities and attributes in his main body. But with the, these limitations would lessen with cultivation level.

"At Knight Peerage he should be able to imitate only 1 Avatar at a time. With each level he will be able to gain an extra set of abilities.' This meant that at Knight Peerage, he could use his own abilities as well as that of another Avatar at the same time.

The Baron level was the second Peerage. That meant that Artillian would be able to use three sets of powers at once. His own, from the second Avatar and from the third Avatar of choice.

'At the Baron level he would also gain the chance to create a third Avatar.'

Hestia was confident that this would be the main motivation for Artillian to cultivate. The goddess sighed at the sheer advantages this manual had.

'It has strict requirements from it's user, but it gives equally ridiculous boons.'

But one had to have anti-divinity as their core attribute. And that in itself made one into a target for deities to hunt. Which meant that life would forever be a race and Artillian would constantly be chased.

Hestia had however given Artillian quite the head start.
