Serpentine Forest (END)

As a being who has lived for slightly under 20,000 years, this Serpentine creature has seen many different races, but Jin was completely different from all the rest of the races that she came across.

The aura that surrounded Jin had the red aspect golden aspect of humans yet, he was clearly from neither of these two races since there was a black abyss-like aura that converged over everything.

She watched him as she then asked.

"Why is your aura so different from all of the species in this land." Her tone filled with curiosity.

This Serpent was akin to a child stumbling into a toy shop for the first time as she was yet to see a being as mysterious as Jin.

"What...what do you mean, my aura is different.?" Jin's confused voice entered the humanoid ears of the Serpent.

She knitted her brows in annoyance. The humanoid Serpent then followed up by saying. "Do you think me of a fool...I already know you have many secrets simply by the aura that you exude."

Her cold eyes looked down into the indifferent eyes of Jin as they both tried to dig into the secrets of one another.

Jin was the more successful of the two as he used the 'appraisal' skill for the first time since acquiring the system.

After seeing the information written on the transparent screen, Jin's approach immediately changed as he decided to act slightly more humble.

"I don't even know what I am so how could I tell you why my 'aura' is different.."

Jin's childish yet indifferent voice entered the humanoid Serpent...No, it entered Raven's ears which caused her eyes to gain a trace of what seemed to be sympathy

"I see, so you are similar to me...because you are different, you were thrown away and left all by yourself, to fend for yourself," Raven said while snapping her fingers in the process, causing a golden and intangible energy to wrap around Jin's body.

Jin felt as if the control over his body instantly disappeared. Before long, Jin realized that he was standing on top of a golden platform with the figure of Raven next to him.

Two Months Later...

High in the clouds, a child with a naked upper body who looked the tender age of six sat on top of a floating platform that spanned for two thousand meters and was painted in gold. He had long fluttering white hair and thousands of red and veiny marks visible from his neck down. Although the markings were veiny, they were by no means ugly, as they gave off an ancient feeling that was shrouded by a feeling of evilness.

He also wore an ordinary-looking black colored blindfold. Any being watching would be surprised by the fact that a young child was wearing a blindfold yet, still looked so cute.

If the said being had seen the actions of this child when visiting the forest for the past few months, they would be in for the shock of their life as the cuteness that was now present, would immediately vanish and be replaced by an indifferent killing machine.

Standing up from his meditative position, his black-colored belt that wrapped around his white-baggy martial arts pants fluttered in the wind. This outfit was something he got from the system for free and he seemed to also like it. He then pulled his blindfold down, allowing his eyes to come in view.

"Such beautiful eyes, such a shame...."

A sweet voice resounded throughout the golden platform as, next to the white-haired boy, a woman of the utmost beauty with black hair, golden eyes, and an hourglass figure appeared.

Her presence seemed to annoy the child as he then thought.

'You kidnapped me because of mere loneliness, you promise to treat me with maximum care yet, you completely forget about the maximum care part and do not even bother to gather up the beasts you vowed to, leaving me to hunt them myself.'

Jin, thought in vexation as he went on to ignore the attention-seeking woman and headed to address his more urgent matters.

Not one to waste time, even if kidnapped, Jin did not once send his consciousness inside of his middle dantian as he used the past two months to focus on his Demonic Path Cultivation and continuously killed several thousand creatures as he only needed to hunt a dozen more to enter the Demon Soldier realm.

At first, Jin thought it was most likely related to his bloodline, so he decided not to bother thinking extensively about it. But, as a curious creature, he could not help himself so the same day he was 'kidnapped', Jin decided to investigate the reason for his body's exaggerated demands.

One must know, for the ordinary...No, even immensely talented Demons are required to kill somewhere between 500-1000 living beings.

When Jin's consciousness descended to the inside of his body, Jin realized that all of his cells gave out a barely discernable suction force. He knew that this was completely new to his body which made it obvious that this was because of his new bloodline which was the Demonic bloodline.

When seeing this, he decided to immediately kill a living creature and inspect the immediate changes. Luckily an ant found itself crawling next to Jin so without further notice, Jin smashed his palm and completely pulverized the ant to dust.

As soon as the ant died, he discerned that the cells in his body acted up a lot more than usual, as the suction force increased. An unidentified energy was then suddenly and forcefully pulled into his cells. Sadly, it seemed that whatever energy it was, was too small since nothing drastic happened right after but, this made Jin immediately understand that a Demon's cells were very special.

Later, after re-entering the forest, Jin started his hunt for beasts so that he can enter the Demonic Soldier realm. While killing, he closely inspected his cells, and after a few deaths, he realized a couple of noteworthy things.

Firstly, only after killing a creature did the said creature give off the mysterious energy for his cells to absorb. Lastly, it seemed as if his cells had an upper limit per creature, which in the process made him realize why he needed to kill 10,000 creatures and not several beings comparable to 10,000 creatures.

Anyways, though he wanted to send his consciousness in his middle dantian to since he knew there were countless secrets in there. Disappointingly, like last time, his warning bells were never at any cost think about doing it.

"Send me down now!!" Jin ordered Raven, in his usual indifferent tone.

After spending a couple of months together, Jin and Raven's relationship developed weirdly. Raven's personality went from an overbearing queen into a docile little lamb listening to the orders of a big bad wolf, the strangest part about it was the fact that she seemed to enjoy it.

Why was it like this, Jin was completely clueless but he allocated it to his lady-killing looks.
