Path To Supremacy

Jin was born different from others with mysterious markings all over his body along with a higher level of intelligence compared to a normal child, though that did not stop him from trying to live a happy life with his loving parents. Sadly for him, because of his title as the monstrosity, the never before seen genius, his parent were killed right in front of his eyes and he also would have died if not for the mysterious awakening of his system. . . . Please read the tags, the mc isn't a kind-hearted person nor is he even the average anti-hero. He is evil, so please don't bother commenting about how evil the mc is unless you like it. . . . . Also, the story wouldn't focus much on the romance that would be coming very late into the novel so don't expect it to do anything to the plot like softening the heart of the mc.

Jin's Downfall (2)

Boom!!

Suddenly an explosion was heard, greatly startling the redhead teenage-looking boy known as Jacob. The same boy who had previously put Athena in her place as he compared her to Brown, a being who was easily killed by Jin in his city of the dead.

Jacob, who heard this explosion which began from the rooftop, instantly knew that this should be related to the 'Fiendish Brothers'. Picking up on the fact that they were most probably attacking the idiot who always goes on the rooftop whenever she's angry, he immediately flashed across the mansion as he was merely a few hundred meters away from Jin's location, but just as he was about to reach Jin...

'Huh?'

Jacob abruptly halted his movements as he felt something wrong. He felt something very wrong as his face couldn't help but contort into a frown. He knitted his eyebrows as he realized that he was taking way too long to reach Jin's location. Not only that, his surroundings were unlike that of one which had just undergone a massive explosion.

'An illusion?' He thought in alarm, but he then let out a contemptuous smile as he knew all too well that illusions had little effect on his mind. He was born with a stronger will than normal beings and growing to the strength to that of a Vampire Duke, the strength of his will only increased more than ever.

Haaaaa!!!

"Break!!"

He shouted, as promptly after, his surroundings formed into cracks as before long, his vision blurred momentarily only for him to re-enter the real world. Though he knew that his other companion, which was the older brother of Athena may also be under an illusion, the life and death of Athena were currently on the line, so he immediately disappeared to his destination, Jin.

Boom!!!

Appearing in Jin's location, what came into view was the body of Athena being blasted across the street. The worst part was the fact that, before she had any time to react, Jin would then appear behind her flying body and kick her like a soccer ball again. This series continued a few times as Jacob immediately picked up on the fact that Athena was caught in an illusion since she had a cocky smile plastered on her face.

'That bastard!!!'

Jacob thought. Though he and Athena previously argued, they were after all still companions, and seeing one of his companions being severely beaten by his enemy, Jacob couldn't help but be extremely annoyed. Thereafter, a spear appeared in his hand as he flashed across the streets, appearing right behind Jin and...

A Few Seconds Ago...

Boom!!

Boom!!

'Haha, this game truly is fun...No wonder adults run around a patch of land and kick a ball like little children.' Jin thought as he played soccer with himself by allowing Athena to the soccer ball.

Tap!

But, just as he was busy playing with his soccer ball, he realized that someone broke out of his illusion. Not just that, but that person was about to appear and seemingly ruin Jin's plan.

Tsk!!

Jin clicked his tongue in annoyance as he then went on to continue his little game with Athena. Since he was already in such an annoying situation, he'll play with them a little and then obliterate them.

Swoosh!!

The sound of a sharp object cutting through the air was picked up by Jin's acute hearing as he then abruptly dodged the sneak attack, sending a punch to counter-attack. His mere punch cracked the surrounding space as it tore apart the air, wherever it went, spider cracks in the atmosphere were created. Jacob did not expect Jin to be able to evade his attack and right after sending a counter-attack, it was a troublesome thing since he hadn't any time to react to this punch which seemingly could leave him in a seriously injured state.

Boom!!!

Unlike what one would expect, Jin did not discern the feeling of his fist hitting someone's body. No, what Jin felt was, if his fist had just contacted a piece of iron that just came out of a pool of lava. Thereafter causing him to quickly contract and pull his hand away from its location. With alarm clear on his face since he hadn't sensed anything good, Jin quickly stepped back a few dozen steps in a mere second.

"Haha, it seems that this sword is the weakness of evil things like you!!" The voice of Athena's brother was heard by Jin as he darted his gaze towards the sword in his hands.

Seth, who was watching from a rooftop a few kilometers away, immediately appeared next to Jin as he couldn't help but blurt out.

"What the hell is that?!!" His voice which was filled with shock resounded in Jin's ears as Jin couldn't help but be annoyed with his luck.

'Wasn't it like this in the last city, my luck these days is horrid. And the worst part is, unlike the last city, the Vampire Dukes here are fairly strong, especially that golden-haired bastard with the accursed sword.!!' Jin said as he gazed towards the sword with worry.

Yes, for the first time in his life other than the time when he was sealed, Jin felt the emotions of anxiety and unease. The golden-haired man on the other hand, abruptly gave out a bright smirk when seeing Jin's expression as he said.

"Haha, it seems that you are aware of this sword...This sword is the reason why we Vampires can rule a continent even when there are so many stronger races in the Abyss World."

Achilles said with great pride in his voice as he then gazed into Jin's blindfolded eye, immediately regretting it thereafter. He felt as if he was suddenly in a never-ending void as he couldn't make out his surroundings at all...luckily for him, the sword in his hand sent out light that was shimmering gold and filled with brightness, instantly after, he found himself back in the real world.

Picking up on what transpired, Achilles grinned wider than before as he continued. "Since we knew you'll choose to make your appearance in this city, I was secretly gifted a sword from his majesty that was gifted to him by the Emperor. But, the true origins of this sword date back to the ancestors of our Vampire race who live on the main continents of this World." Achilles said with stars in his eyes as he continued.

"The ancestors in which I speak of are beings who live in a different world from you and me...a world in which we mortals could never hope to reach...the world of the Immortals!!! This sword was crafted by them which was meant to save us in times of war in which we face enemies we can't defeat. But, over the years, the Great Emperor has gained many weapons from the Immortals similar to this, many he gave the Ten Kings." He said as Jin then interrupted his speech by saying.

"Please!! If you want to say the name of the sword, or its abilities, please hurry and say it...Do you think I have all day to waste on you, when the Vampire Dukes of the surrounding Cities may be alerted?!"

Hearing Jin daring to interrupt him while he spoke of the Great Immortals and the Great Emperor, Achilles was angered beyond belief as he blasted toward Jin and Seth's location along with Jacob whose focus was darting between Seth and Athena's unmoving body.
