Demonic Captain

Right after, another arrow whistled through the air as Seth realized that he was stabbed for a second time.

This time it was his shoulder, as he looked at the sea of dead bodies on the road, he realized that two figures were walking over the dead bodies of Vampires, and one had an arrow and bow in his hand which was then aimed at the location of Seth's forehead.

'Am I about to die again?'

Seth thought as he watched with a pair of hollow and dim azure-colored pupils while being rooted to the spot, at the arrow that came ever closer to being embedded into his skull.

Bam!!!

But, just as the arrow was about to penetrate his skull, a hand covered in dark energy stopped it. Looking to his right, Seth realized that he was in Jin's embrace as he couldn't help but blurt out.

"Jin...this is sus!!!"

*Cough*

Hearing what Seth said, Jin felt like coughing blood as he decided that it would be better to ignore Seth's comment as he then looked in the direction of the attackers as he said.

"Hehe, little kid, I knew there was someone else here that wasn't a weakling which is why I left you to run but, hehe, I did not realize that the guy you brought for me to eat is already a Vampire Soldier."

Jin said in an evil voice, thankfully his blindfold was on otherwise Seth, who was still in Jin's embrace, would have been shaking in fear. On the other hand, the kid who watched as his father sacrificed himself so that he can escape and bring the Vampire Soldier to this location, was brimming with anger as he watched the being responsible for the massacre of all the beings he knew.

Who murders all of your friends and family and then talks to you as if they did absolutely nothing to you?

The man next to the kid though did not like that his existence was being ignored by Jin who still had not released his hold of Seth's body. Knowing that there was no point in talking to two beings who seemed to enjoy the massacre of his people, this Vampire Soldier level existence decided that it was better to immediately attack Jin.

Jin, seeing the man blasting in his direction, did nothing as he simply continued walking in the direction of the kid whose father was killed by him.

"Oh, little boy, how sad you must be..." Jin hummed in a condensing voice as his blindfolded eyes met with the wrathful eyes of the kid.

"Mid Level Blood Technique-Blood Claw"

Suddenly, appearing a few meters in front of Jin, was the man who was shouting as he raised his hand and formed it into claws his hand was mysteriously equipped with a blood-colored gauntlet.

Because of his loud bellow, Jin was forced to switch his attention from the kid to the man. But, this did not mean he stopped walking as he merely said.

"Absolute Negation."

Boom!!!

As soon as these words left his mouth, the man who was only a meter away was blasted away by a mysterious force as his body collided with a wooded wall.

Puchi!!!

Jin saw this as he then mysteriously appeared behind the little kid, before anyone could react, Jin's hand penetrated the kid's chest as Jin then said.

"Shadow Extraction"

Rumble!!!

As these words left Jin's lips, the now lifeless bodies of everyone including the most recent deaths of the kid and the man, rumbled as their shadows detached from their body and then formed into figures that kneeled in Jin's direction.

Thereafter, Jin nodded his head in their direction. What happened after that shocked Seth to the core. He watched as these shadows, dashed towards Jin as they seemingly turned into balls of darkness that then entered Jin's own shadow.

Seeing Seth's shock, Jin softly said. "My shadow is akin to what you know as an inventory. The size is only limited to my imagination as theoretically, I can fit an infinite number of things inside of it."

Discerning that Seth wasn't confused any longer, Jin examined the little shadow army he has just created as he couldn't help but smile when seeing the shadows. Unlike the three shadows, he had previously extracted from the first three vampires he met after appearing in this world, these were a lot stronger.

'The more despair one feels before their shadow is extracted, the stronger said shadow would be and...' Jin thought before examining the shadow of the little boy as he then continued his thoughts.

'This kid who has felt the most despair is even stronger than when he was alive!!! It seems that I will need to pay close attention to my next few target's emotional states.'

Jin thought in slight excitement for the future, but before he could celebrate any further.

Thump!!!

Thud!!!

Again, similar to the first time, his heart released a powerful heartbeat as he dropped to the ground.

'It seems that I can not continue suppressing it.' Jin thought as the only reason he hasn't brought about the Lightning Tribulation for entering the Demonic Captain rank was mainly that being a Mystery Lord cultivator, he was able to slow the process in which his Demonic Markings evolve, which in turn prevented the Lightning Tribulation.

"Quickly, bring that Vampire's body. I will eat his body which will give me the Bloodline of a Vampire." Jin said to Seth as he released his hold of Seth's body and pointed in the direction of the man who was in the Vampire Soldier rank.

Urgh!!!

Letting out an annoyed groan, Seth unwillingly went towards the dead body of the stupid man who attacked Jin and used his 1.1 points of strength which were comparable to an Energy Creating cultivator.

Easily pulling the dead body, he thought.

'What a fool, to actually die from a skill that was not even an attack.'

If the man heard what Seth said, he probably would have coughed up blood and died again, thankfully he was already dead though.

Seth then brought the lifeless body in front of Jin and watched as Jin chomped down on the man's body with slight interest visible in his hollow eyes.

"Yes"

Without any hesitation, Jin agreed to his system. He then closed his eyes and awaited the annoying bolts of lightning that'll be coming any second now.

"Little Seth, you shouldn't be anywhere close to here when my lightning tribulation starts." Jin said with a fake worried voice.

But, no one replied which caused the blindfold to disappear as Jin opened his eyes with slight worry. What he saw was the view of Seth already a few tens of meters away from him as Seth stood on top of a rooftop while his hollow eyes gazed at Jin's location with interest.

Seeing this, Jin's left eye uncontrollably twitched in annoyance as he again then got himself ready for the Lightning Tribulation that'll be coming together with the immense pain of simultaneously absorbing the Vampire Bloodline.

Located in the middle of a street that spanned the whole length of this Vampire town and was filled with red-colored sand, one can see the unmoving body of Jin who was inside of a ditch the size of around fifteen meters.

Urgh!!

Suddenly, Jin's body shook as a groan escaped from his lips.
