Death? (5)

What he saw was the symbol of two bones that formed an X. The symbol was imprinted in both of Jin's pupil-less eyes, leaving Seth within the clutches of what felt like death.

"Little Vampire Noble, you are overstepping your boundaries...as an insignificant side-character."

Boom!!

Jin's voice powerfully shook the surrounding space as he raised his index finger and pointed it towards the incoming energy blast.

A silver-colored energy beam that radiated a deathly aura formed in front of his finger as it blasted into the incoming energy, causing a loud explosion. What greatly stunned the City Lord though, was not the fact that a small beam of energy was enough to counter the energy beam that he took some time to build-up but, but it was instead the being responsible for the energy beam.

'Wasn't he supposed to be dead?' He thought as his old and frail-looking body shook in fear as he now knew that he had absolutely zero chances of winning. The being who was previously stronger than him has re-appeared and became even more strong compared to previously.

"Wasn't he supposed to be dead? Is that what you are thinking?" Jin said with an emotionless and hollow voice that inched very close to a gender-neutral voice.

Hearing such words, the City Lord shifted his gaze to the being who has caused him great worry and trouble for the past nine days.

Long flowing silver-colored hair and pupil-less eyes that had two bones formed in an X imprinted on each eye. He had an incredibly defined jawline and chiseled chest, located where his heart should be, a skull mask was situated. A being could barely discern the empty void that could be seen through the eye sockets of this skull which was located on Jin's chest.

Jin was adorned with a pair of what seemed to be black-colored army combat boots and tight-fitted lower body form-fitting armor. His upper body was exposed to the world as his extremely defined chest and eight-pack abs were open to the world.

Seeing Jin's appearance, the City Lord could only ask out.

"Why?"

"Why are you murdering such innocent people who have done nothing wrong?" The City Lord could not help but ask out loud. His discouraged voice entered the ears of all the inhabitants of this city as they were also beginning to lose all of their hope. But, maybe the City Lord could talk it out with this fiendish being...well at least that was the last strand of hope they had for remaining alive.

Seth on the other hand was also interested in Jin's answer as unlike him who enjoyed killing, Jin did not seem to be the type who had simple enjoyment.

Slightly amused, Jin replied. "Why?! Hmm, let's see." Jin said out loud. His voice traveled to all ears of the living creatures in this city as they waited in anticipation, hoping that somewhere inside the deep abyss of Jin's consciousness, there was a good side that could still be called upon.

"Hmm, if this was a few million years ago, before the Abyssal Tribulation. I would say that I kill to get my deserved revenge at all of existence. I would say that I absolutely enjoy your suffering and despair but now it is different. Now, I do not feel any sort of happiness or anticipation when thinking of your deaths..."

Jin said. His voice grew colder and colder the longer he spoke, it was akin to the living creatures of this city entering a mountain of ice while still being naked and with ordinary mortal bodies. Jin then continued...

"After watching existence for millions of years, I have realized that you all have plagued the multiverse for too long.

Those of you who can be considered good beings would eventually die as surprisingly in your next life, you would be opposite to the good creatures you were in your previous life.

You beings have caused only war, war, war, war, and more war. War on world scales, galactic scales, universal scales, and multiversal scales.

You beings have caused destruction wherever you were located...Slaughter, murder, caused mass genocide and even destroyed things that are the only reason you can even be in existence. Seeing it, I could not help but step in...I could not help but be annoyed by you lesser beings and so..."

Jin's voice entered the ears of every living being in this city as they were left with great confusion by the words of Jin. It felt as if he had lived for millions of years and had watched the development of every creature throughout existence.

"And so...knowing full well that you are beyond the point of saving, I have taken it upon myself to pass punishment. As the pinnacle being, as the most pinnacle of evolution that has transcended existence itself, I have decided to wipe you parasites and reward you with True Death.

You all shall serve me for the rest of eternity, you all shall serve me, the personification of death.

The Child of both Darkness and Death is now ordering you to serve me for eternity...

Be proud, you are now going to become everlasting and undying beings.!!!"

Jin's cold and emotionless voice was rather contradictory to what he thought was a joyous occasion for existence.

Hearing Jin's words, not only was the City Lord along with the rest of the beings in this city feeling a shiver running up their spines, but even Seth could not help but get a bad feeling from Jin.

HAAAA!!!!

The City Lord who has had enough of this nonsense and the craziness of the fiend in front of him decided to do what only beings who were Vampire Nobles and higher can do. Though it comes with great consequences and could even lead to his death, he decided that to save his people and rid the world of this mentally disabled abomination, it was better to burn his very essence to increase his strength.

Flashing across the air, he appeared in front of Jin as he slashed at Jin's neck with the scythe in his hand. Sadly for him, reality sometimes does not play out the way you want it...

With mere physical strength alone, Jin vanished from his position as he appeared behind the City Lord's frail-looking body and backhanded him in the back of his neck, creating a loud explosion as their bodies which were brimming with power contacted each other.

Boom!!!

Not even being able to react or protect his body from Jin's attack power, the City Lord's body was blasted away tens of meters from the sky and towards the ground as a crater of more than twenty meters was formed from the impact.

Boom!!!

Jin, who was floating in the air without the need of his wing saw the unmoving body of the City Lord as he elegantly floated downwards and appeared outside of the crater. Knowing full well that his mere backhand attack which he did not even place ten percent of power, most probably destroyed all the bones in the old man's body, Jin's muscles relaxed as he then emotionlessly voiced while pointing his index finger towards the City Lord's body.

"Do you have any last words.?"

Urgh!!

The City Lord gave out a groan as he bit down on his teeth and tried to force his body up. He wanted...no, he needed to get up to fight the abomination, his daughter would die if not. His vassals would die if he merely gave up here and now. The innocent residents of this city would die if not.

But...

"I guess you have nothing to say..."

Boom!!!
