A Few Dark Months

"We greet our Lord!!"

Jin gazed at these beings with his new vision as he merely nodded and allowed them to enter his shadow. Watching his surroundings, Jin thought.

'Is this something only the beings who cultivate a Dao can see? But, this should not b the case since those Vampire Duke who cultivates the Dao of Blood shouldn't be able to see this. Since Vampires do not get Lightning Tribulations when breaking into the next rank, do they also not get the benefits that other races do, once those races pass the Lightning Tribulation...?'

Yes, it seems that Jin was able to see the world and more importantly, he was able to control his eye abilities...but what greatly surprised him was the fact that even when his eyes are in a normal state, he can see a lot more than previously.

Jin realized that not only was he able to see at an increased speed, and see-through objects both living and inanimate, but he was also able to see the essence of the Laws of this world. Jin immediately knew that if a cultivator at the Divine Tribulation realm attacks him, he does not even need to use his incredible body strength to dominate the fight, all he needs to do is strike with his sword at the weakness of his opponent since he can see both the flaws of a being's 'Law' attack and physical attack.

'Unless the Divine Tribulation Cultivator is similar to me, the only option is to lose when a Divine Tribulation Realm fights an Ascension Lord cultivator.' Jin thought, finally finishing the analysis of his eye. Thereafter, Jin then suddenly felt something different.

Sending his hand through his hair, Jin then realized that the edges of his hair were ink black.

*Tsk*

"Why can't my hair decide on a color and simply keep it that way!!!" Jin shouted out in annoyance.

Sigh!

As a sigh left his lips, Jin sent his senses outwards as it covered the whole of this city and the surrounding cities in a few thousand kilometers. Feeling how expansive his senses were, Jin gave out a feral smile as he couldn't help but think of how much fun he was about to have with so many unprotected cities...

Thinking this, Jin's feet and long toenails touched the ground as he planned to leisurely stroll towards his next city but...

Swoosh!!!

But, just as he took a step he realized that he was in a completely unknown location. Instantly, Jin sent his senses outwards as he was left shocked to the core by his findings. It seemed that from a mere step, Jin defied whatever laws of physics of the mortal world, and he appeared in a location a few tens of kilometers away.

"HUH??!!!"

Completely gobsmacked, Jin couldn't help but let out a word in a tone that represented his confusion. But, just as he was at the peak of his confusion, Jin's consciousness felt as if pieces of information were being forcefully implanted into it.

'Oh my, it seems that the Law of Darkness could be used to increase my speed. And, now that I am cultivating the Dao of Darkness, my speed is something that makes me invulnerable in this world. Once I am not sneaked upon, I am pretty sure that no one under the Ascension Tribulation realm aka the Vampire King rank could match me in terms of speed!!'

Thinking this, Jin then took a few dozen steps as he appeared in front of the massive gates of another city. While appearing here, his thoughts contained slight evilness...

'Haha, since I have a week till the King of this kingdom is notified about the news of that city's destruction, I should create my army for the war that will be taking place. I should make him regret making the capital city so far away from the normal cities, and after creating my Kingdom of the Dead, the next thing to do is of course destroy all other Kingdoms and finally, the Great Blood Emperor!!!'

Three Months Later...

Sitting at the highest point of a mountain, one can see the figure of Jin who was currently being attacked by many bolts of red and black colored lightning. He sat there, in a lotus position and completely unfazed by the many barrages of attacks. The number of bolts of lightning had long passed the average of nine bolts that a normal cultivator undergoes when taking the Lightning Tribulation.

'Hmm, it is quite the nuisance to simply sit and wait for the lightning to come to me. Those Vampire Arch-Dukes and probably even the King of this Kingdom himself, are getting ready to fight "there". If I am late, who knows what they'll think about a higher being such as myself lying!!!' Jin thought, cold sweat simultaneously dripping down his back as he thought that lying toward such lesser beings would be an embarrassment to him and his superior race.

'Speaking of superior, with this tribulation, I will enter the Superior Demon realm. Maybe, if I'm lucky, I would be able to enter the Arch-Demon rank before even the continental war against the Vampire Empire...Reaching such a level will be a big help in easily destroying this continent and also in not getting harmed by those damned "Holy" weapons.' Jin thought as he cursed those 'holy' weapons which gave him quite the hard time throughout the past three months.

In the past three months, Jin not only destroyed every single city of this Kingdom besides the capital, but he also fought numerous Vampire Arch-Dukes. Though, because of their ranks, they were given a lot more 'Holy' weapons than mere Vampire Dukes and because of this, Jin was left with no choice but to fight each of them one at a time!!

With him now becoming a Superior Demon, he was at a level of strength that could allow him to not place those Vampire Arch-Dukes in his eyes as the only being who would give him some semblance to trouble, would be the King of this Kingdom who was a Vampire Lord.

Boom!!!

With one last booming sound and the destruction of this mountain, Jin's tribulation ended as he realized that in one hundred-kilometer radius, everything was destroyed. It now looked like a barren piece of land as he was located in a deep pit that probably stretched for a few kilometers.

Haaa!

Letting out a light grunt, Jin easily jumped out of the multi-kilometer deep pit and entered the ground level. As he was about to leave, he gazed at the skies as he saw a ball of silvery smoke heading in his direction.

Tsk!!

"Ahh shit, here we go again!!"

Jin, with great annoyance clear from the tone in which he spoke, readied himself for the splitting headache he was bound to get from the information he was about to receive. After going through almost all of the information about the ball of darkness, he realized that this is a special gift a Child of a Law gets once he gains a little insight into the Dao of an element.

Swoosh!!

Thud!!

The ball easily went into his skull as Jin fell to his knees while grabbing his head. Feeling the throbbing sensation and the veins in his forehead expanding and then contracting, Jin felt so much pain that he was barely able to discern his surroundings.

Ultimately, Jin fell unconscious as he entered a mysterious state. New changes simultaneously began being made to his body as his hair, again, changed to fully silver.
