When I arrived at the academy that I spent much of my time at two years ago, I stopped to observe it for a while. It was really amazing how the place that was originally just a warehouse used by a bunch of delinquents turned out to be one of the most famous martial arts academies in Shinjuku. This made me crack a smile, enjoying the feeling of being back in the place I used to take my first big step.

Deciding not to waste any more time, I immediately entered the gym, the attention of everyone in the place suddenly on me. I recognized the faces of many of them, but judging by their faces, they didn't seem to recognize me.

I kept silent, moving toward the counter where a young girl was reading a magazine. The girl seemed distracted, and I couldn't help but notice her features. Long blonde hair tied up in two ponytails and tanned skin, and beautiful green eyes. "I would like to speak to the person in charge of the academy." I said, my smile still on my face as I watched the girl nod in agreement to what I said.

I might as well just move fast enough to the office, but really, I just wanted to talk to the girl at the counter, since she was a sight for sore eyes? Shit, I have two beautiful girls who like me and here I am thinking about hitting on another one, am I becoming a piece of trash?

Thinking about it is giving me a headache.

Nodding in agreement again, the girl stood up and walked towards the office, and I was sure I saw her drool for a second before she quickly wiped it off. "Damn, how long were you planning on being away for?!" He exclaimed with a smile, pulling me into a hug. I blinked in confusion at that attitude. Whatever his career had done to his personality, it had changed him to make him quite friendly.

"Guys, Yuji is back!" Osanai let go of me and turned to the people in the gym, saying loudly while raising his arms with a happy smile.

"Y-Yuji?! Is that him?!"

"When did he become so tall?!"

"Our leader... Is back!" I swear I could hear someone crying as they said that.

"Hooray for Yuji's return!"

"Hooray!"

I cracked an uncomfortable smile at the whole situation. I remembered something like this happening after I had recovered from my injuries before I started my training, so I wasn't too bothered by it.

"Hibiki, could you close the academy? Let's have a party for Yuji's return." Osanai spoke to the girl, who I found out was named Hibiki. "If you don't want to participate, you can go home for the day."

"Ah, o-ok." The girl looked confused about what was happening. I didn't blame her for that.

"Damn, when did you get taller than me?" Osanai asked as he looked at me, a friendly smile on his lips.

"Thing of fate, overcoming you in many ways was just part of it, don't worry about it."

"You brat, I haven't stopped training a single day since you traveled, I'm ready for a rematch."

We exchanged intense glances, me raising my chin in superiority while he crossed his arms over his chest. That didn't last long when we were unable to hold back our laughter.

"Damn, what did they do to you in the rings?" I started walking toward the interior of the academy, Osanai soon following me.

"Heh, after losing to that Alai Jr guy, I met an old man who helped me. Learning from him turned out to be a great learning experience." Osanai replied with a pleasant smile, making me interested in his story. "But this is not the time for that, let's party!"

I laughed at this, the blond man walking past me when I suddenly remembered the girl's presence, turning to see her grabbing some keys from the counter. As much as I didn't want to become a creep who hit on various girls, something about Hibiki caught my attention, and it wasn't just her aura. There was something else about her.

'Well, it's not like I can't have female friendships.'

"Hey, girl!" I called out to her, causing her to turn in astonishment to me, pointing at herself in confusion. "Don't you want to join the party? It'll be fun."

I opened a gentle smile, and almost immediately, the girl seemed to lose herself in my face again, her cheeks taking on a red tint as she closed her eyes as if she were a puppy that had just been petted.

"I'd love to!" She replied enthusiastically, and I just nodded for her to approach, walking back when she caught up with me.

Even though she was behind me, I could see the radiant girl walking awkwardly as if she were drunk.

'Maybe that was a bad idea.'
