The situation had calmed down for both sides. Eugene, even though injured, was able to smile when he was able to convince Yuji Shinakawa to ally himself with him.

Even with his allies completely defeated, with James Lee and Yuji Shinakawa on the battlefield, there was nothing to stop him from destroying the Big Deal.

At the end of the day, it was he who had survived.

"I see." Yuji, who turned to the Big Deal members, made them all cringe at the sight of him. "In exchange for getting the location of the hostages, I'll be your ally."

Stepping forward, Yuji stared at everyone with a powerful gaze, which made most of them tremble with the tension that ran through their bodies.

That man was a monster that absolutely none of them could fight. That was the absolute truth.

"Very good." Turning to Eugene, Yuji cracked a small smile. "But anyway, I'm not going to help you in this war."

"What?"

Eugene blinked when Yuji simply stated, his gaze fixed on the young fighter's face, who just kept smiling as he turned to leave.

"I have nothing against them, I came here with the aim of destroying the Workers, but since we've become allies, I have no reason to stay here." Yuji turned to look for Hobin, noticing the boy next to Vasco as he looked at him. "Besides, my student over there seems to have chosen a side, and what kind of teacher would I be if I went against my own student?"

Eugene frowned, standing up with difficulty as he stared at Yuji's back.

"That's not part of our agreement."

Yuji stopped when Eugene spoke blatantly, turning just enough to face him.

"Agreement? Our deal is, you give me the location, I don't destroy the Workers, and I help in the fight against Charles Choi, nothing more, nothing less." Yuji said bluntly, turning again to leave. "Be content with that, after all, you're only alive because you're useful to me. The moment this is over, you'd better review your actions, or I might end up finishing the job."

Stopping at the exit of that street, he completely ignored Eugene's murderous gaze, turning to Hobin, who stared at him in confusion.

"Hobin, if you want to help them, then stay. When everything is finished, meet me at the hotel."

.

In a huge mansion, in a work office, Gun was sitting in an armchair while looking completely exhausted, bandages all over his body, indicative of the severe defeat he had suffered just a few hours ago.

"He's gotten even stronger."

Gun simply stated, his eyes moving to Charles Choi, who was staring out of the office window in complete silence.

"Not even with your new technique were you able to take him on?" Charles turned to Gun, who, upon hearing the mention of his technique, sighed in defeat.

"I wasn't able to use it, he knocked me down before I could."

"Then you might be able to take him on." Charles concluded while scratching his chin. "Yuji Shinakawa has become a problem that cannot be ignored. Now that he's working alongside the Workers, his elimination is an absolute necessity."

Charles cracked a smile, a smile that made even Gun feel tense for a moment.

"That's why I'm sending you and Goo. I think the two of you can beat him."

Gun nodded. He felt a little frustrated at having been unable to beat Yuji, but that didn't serve to undermine his confidence, it just meant that he needed to get even stronger.

He was far from his true potential.

.

In a hotel room, Yuji was enjoying the scenery from the balcony of his room, which was on the top floor of the building.

As his eyes wandered over the beautiful view of the city at night, he couldn't help but think about the previous events.

An alliance with the Workers was not in his plans. He wanted to capture Eugene and extract as much information as possible before going after Charles Choi.

But Gaeul's safety was the priority. While potentially joining Charles Choi would be more beneficial with that in mind, he knew the man would refuse to release the girl.

Yuji was strong enough to destroy him whenever he wanted, so Charles wouldn't discard the one thing that kept control over him so easily.

Teaming up with the Workers was just a way of finding Gaeul's location without him having to act directly. He feared that if he did, Charles would kill the girl.

"What the fuck."

He was frustrated. Korea was one of the places he made the most enemies, and in the end, it came back to bite him in the ass.

He felt sorry for not eliminating them months ago, but what was done could no longer be changed.

"Uh! I'm tired!"

Putting his thoughts aside, Yuji turned to see Hobin lying on the bed as he pulled out his phone.

"Looks like you had a good time, doesn't it?" Yuji approached, sitting down in a chair as he relaxed.

"Ugh... It was exhausting. After you left, I helped those guys fight that pink-haired man. He was too strong, even for the three of us." Hobin sighed as he rubbed his chin, a bruise becoming apparent there.

"Well, that's normal. He's known as the legend of the first generation, so it's normal that he's quite strong."

Hobin blinked at that revelation, his face filling with curiosity as he turned to Yuji.

"What? Does that mean you would lose if you fought?"

"Nah, I win."

"..."

Hobin squinted. "Why do I get a strange feeling from those words?"
