"That victory sure pleased Grandpa! Maybe we can get married on this island!" Karura said brazenly, this causing Senju to stare at her intensely while Elena just cracked a nervous smile.

After making friends with the girl, Elena became less upset with her saying she would marry Yuji, although she was still against the idea.

Yuji rolled his eyes at her words, his vision landing on Kou, who was silent after separating from the embrace.

The boy was concerned about this, and ignoring Senju and Karura who were beginning to argue, he approached the little girl, stopping in front of her and bending down to be at her height.

"Is something bothering you, Kou?" he asked earnestly.

Kou rubbed his own arm as he looked away, appearing hesitant, a trait that Yuji noticed.

"Kou was worried about Yuji." She spoke hesitantly, turning to Yuji as she looked him straight in the eye. "Kou was afraid Yuji would get hurt too."

Yuji was silent. Looking at that little girl, who cared so much about him, he realized how much he had neglected the girl's feelings. For someone who cared so much about him, Yuji had not given her the attention she needed these years.

Yuji wanted to fix this, to spend more time with the little girl he saw as his little sister, but he knew he couldn't relax. To deal with all kinds of threats, he needed to keep training, evolving.

And because of that, he would have to ask Kou for forgiveness. Maybe he couldn't spend more time with her now, but in the future, he definitely would.

"Kou..." Opening a warm smile, Yuji began to speak while stroking the top of the little girl's head. "I will never lose as long as you are rooting for me..."

Yuji said this with sincerity and confidence. As long as Kou was rooting for him, his defeat was something unimaginable.

"What a depressing scene." The figure sneered, Yuji squinting his eyes as he listened. "And to think my cousin would choose a wimp like you to marry."

The girls went on alert, Karura frowning as she looked at the figure with hostility exploding from her body.

"Who is this guy?" Senju asked as he approached Yuji.

Letting out a laugh, the figure continued to approach, Yuji gritting his teeth as it revealed itself to them.

'Raian Kure.' He thought with hostility, his head raising as the Kure stood in front of him.

"What a joke! You know, if I kill you now, she'll never marry a loser like you." Raian said mockingly, his smile full of teeth on his face as he looked at Yuji with his chin up, who was only three inches shorter than him.

The teenager was not intimidated by his words, even as the murderous aura exploded from Raian's body, his attention turning back.

"It was... It was you who hurt my brother..." Elena said as she recognized the man who had almost killed her older brother, her eyes wide in dread as she seemed to freeze at Kure's presence.

"Uh?" Raian raised an eyebrow upon hearing that, his smile widening even more as the realization hit him. "Oh! Are you the little sister of that weakling priest? Yes, I made a mess of him. Don't get me wrong, I just did what-"

Boom!

Interrupting him, a punch landed in Kure's face, his head being pushed back as it made him recoil.

"Hehe... You have a strong punch for a loser." Raian said between laughs, blood running down his nose as he slowly turned to Yuji, who was responsible for attacking him. "Pretty brave to attack me like that! That means I can kill you, right?"

"!"

With absurd speed, Raian swept the distance between the two in an instant, grabbing Yuji's wrist before he could pull back.

"!"

With an animalistic grin, Raian punched Yuji hard in the face, the teenager barely blocking the attack with his forearm as his body was pushed back.

'Strong!' Yuji thought with irritation, his eyes turning to Raian, who was preparing another punch.

"React, you piece of shit-"

The moment Raian tried to punch the boy again, he was caught by surprise when with a single low kick, Yuji made his feet leave the ground, manipulating his power flow so that the Kure did a complete 360° in the air, before he landed on his feet completely unharmed.

'What the fuck was that?' Raian was confused for a moment, his eyes turning to Yuji, who was staring at him with a mocking smile.

Upon seeing this, he immediately realized what had happened.

"You bastard! You're really interesting!" Kure laughed loudly, quickly grabbing Yuji's shoulder while pulling back his fist.

As a way to humiliate the Kure, Yuji had shown that he could take him down at any time if he wanted to, manipulating his power flow to rotate his body in mid-air. As much as Kure cared little for such techniques, he was still furious at being belittled like that, so he couldn't stop himself from getting angry at the boy in front of him, deciding to kill him right there, or at least cripple him.

But seeing the Kure about to attack him, Yuji wouldn't let himself simply receive a punch, even more so when that Kure was one that he wouldn't care one bit about destroying. At that moment, he cared little about the rules set by the tournament, plus Raian was not someone who would talk about getting beaten up by one of the fighters outside the arena, so he would need to worry little about that.

"You talk a lot."

Yuji spoke, quickly parrying Raian's fist as he tried to strike him, putting pressure on his fist with intent to try to hurt him. But this did little to shake Kure, who only smiled mockingly as the veins in his body jumped on his skin.

"I don't care about this tournament shit! I'm going to kill you, and then I'm going after those wimps!" The man's skin quickly took on a purplish hue, his strength increasing monstrously as Yuji found himself being easily pushed backwards. "Fuck the rules, I'll have my fun any way I want!"

"Raian!" Karura called out with anger in his tone, he little caring his cousin's scream as he prepared to punch Yuji.

"... Tsc." A click with his tongue sounded from Yuji, the head-down teenager stopping Raian's advance so suddenly, it genuinely took Kure by surprise. "What a shitty superiority complex."

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Raian raised his eyebrow when he heard thumping sounds echoing from the boy in front of him, his interest growing as slowly his arms began to tremble from the contest of strength between the two.

"Do you really think that an amateur like you is really going to be able to kill all the fighters?" Yuji spoke with a mocking tone, his head rising to face Kure, revealing his face with dilated veins as his skin took on a crimson hue. "What a joke... And to think that you are considered the most promising Kure."

Raian's eyes widened in surprise at this, barely reacting when an extremely fast fist stopped in front of his face.

"Stop it." An unfamiliar voice sounded between them, causing Yuji to look over to see the patriarch of the Kure clan, Kure Erioh, walking toward the two accompanied by the other three Kure on the island.
