Chapter 27: Gathering At the Bright Mansion (Part-2)

When we reached the main hall where the gathering was to be held, there were already some guests present who were being served drinks by the mansion's maids.

But thankfully, the ones present were only low-ranked nobles and not someone significant; otherwise, it could have damaged our reputation as poor hosts.

And thankfully, we didn't have to wait long as the main guests with significant status in the kingdom started arriving one by one. Due to this, both Father and Mother became busy greeting and hosting them. To some extent, Alice also had to assist, as the eldest child of the family, it was her responsibility to make connections with various nobles.

This only left John and Anna alone. John had to make sure Anna didn't do anything stupid, although he knew very well that despite how she acted, she was quite clever. So, he didn't have to worry that much about it.

Among the people John recognized among those who arrived were:
