Danzo looked back at the long road he had to walk at civilian speed; he started from north port and traveled to Jinja city, which took him two days, then he walked from Jinja to bridge village, which took him another two days.

He rested in bridge village and heard rumors of a large monk who traveled through the village; the rumor spoke of him eating at a ramen stand, which the owner renamed Giant's rest. 'Must be Tsuyoi.' Danzo thought.

In bridge village, Danzo smuggled himself inside a small transportation boat from North port to twin streams, he had to hide inside of a smelly, pickled barrel of fish caught in north port.

After three days of traveling by the river, Danzo, in the dead of night, escaped from the barrel and hid in twin streams town.

The town was much smaller than North port but much bigger than bridge village, it was situated near a large body of water, that was guarded by a massive group of boats with samurai on them.

Danzo stayed in Twin streams, gathering information as a beggar in town; he learned much in his stay in twin streams; he learned that the guarded river has an island that is forbidden to those without royal blood.

He learned that no news came from south port, blood tree village, and the mines in the south for over a year, and whenever anyone tries to travel there on foot, they would see demons and yokai forcing them to walk back into the village.

When Danzo tried to learn about last town, he heard strange things happening there. Apparently last town was to be made an open prison, and all the undesirables from Kurai Yamanomachi and Jinja city were sent to last town.

Anyone caught leaving would suffer a fate worse than death.

Danzo leaned back on the cold building, and he heard a coin hitting his empty bowl. He changed his voice to an old grave voice that seemed tired. "Aww, may your ancestors bless you."

Danzo looked at the one who gave him the coin and saw a soldier with a soft smile. 'Hmm…' Danzo thought while looking at the young man. 'No danger there, seems to be a naïve person.' Concluded Danzo with a smile.

The young man chuckled and rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. "No problem grandpa."

Leaning back on the cold building again, he hugged his staff closer and spoke. "Say, young man, any idea what happened to last town?" Danzo spoke with a soft voice. "I am sorry to presume, but you seem to be a soldier, and maybe you know what happened? I have family there, and no word came from them."

The young man's eyes softened, and he sighed while looking at the misty sky. "A lot happened these days grandpa."

"Such as?" Danzo asked.

The young soldier gripped his spear tightly and looked to the East, towards Last town. "The new Daimyo locked up last town." Danzo could hear the venom in the young man's words. "No one gets out of last town, only enemies of the state are brought in."

Danzo frowned and clicked his tongue in disapproval. "And what happened to the old resident of the town? What happened to my family?"

The young man frowned and kept on looking in last town's direction. "They are trapped in that town, the new guards need servants after all…" The young man spat to the side with hatred. "At least that's what happened to my family." The soldier looked back at Danzo and smiled a little. "Have patience old timer, soon justice will be met, the princess will show her younger brother justice."

The soldier looked at the gathering dark clouds. "I think you should return back home old timer, a storm is brewing, and you know the dangers of the night, good night." The young man walked away from Danzo who kept on his smile, and when no one was around his smile disappeared, and a calculating look showed itself.

Danzo mulled over what the soldier spoke of, he kicked his feet and cracked his back, he could feel the cold, damp cobblestone on his bare feet. 'Acting like a beggar sure is useful." He looked at his dirty feet. 'But damn is it a dirty job.'

Taking his dirty mat, and begging bowl Danzo walked with a hobble along Twin stream's streets, rain began to fall on the town, and people walked back and forth ignoring the daily rain they got.

He mulled over the information he received thus far, Danzo knew that there are two main factions fighting over the throne, the young princess and her younger brother who took over after his father died mysteriously.

The young daimyo accused the old shinobi of Waves and kicked them out of Waves, of course, the shinobi did not leave willingly, and they simply disappeared into the mist, so far he suspects that they are supporting the young princess faction.

Danzo looked across the pond harbor and squinted his eyes at the line of ships. 'Maybe Konoha could gain something from this.' He believed while looking past the line of ships into the large river. 'The forbidden island is behind these ships, and I bet the princess is hiding there.'

Shaking his head, he continued walking, and after a while, he finally reached his temporary home, Danzo hid in an alleyway and found stacks of barrels, he looked behind him and scouted his surrounding before cloning himself.

The clone moved without saying a word and squeezed itself into one of the makeshift home barrels. Danzo smiled and jumped on a nearby building, he looked across the town and frowned. 'Better get a moving on.' Thought Danzo while jumping from roof to roof.

He looked up while jumping and saw the storm gathering faster. 'Perfect opportunity for the old classic, Bunk, and plan.' Danzo smiled and did a perfect landing on an old clothing line, using his ability he glided on the line until he reached another home.

He picked a snack from the balcony that was left there unattended, it only took him less than a second, and in his hand were smoked fish, pickles, smoked cheese, and bread. 'Can't plan without something to snack on.'

(Danzo POV) [ Outside of twin stream / Time 3:12 AM]

He looked back at the small cluster of twin streams, houses on top of each other, creating various alleyways that lead to other places in town. Mountains in the distance, mist covering boats that traveled through the twin streams that connected North port to last town.

Merchant boats sold their wares to unnamed towns alongside the stream river, the samurai army protecting the forbidden island.

Danzo looked down at the chaotic town that is (twin stream). "Perfect place to hide in, and gather information, but with the storm, I need to gather my thoughts."

He looked down at the small mountain he found, it was not a mountain, more of a large hill that had a one hundred feet tall cluster of rocks protruding from it, around the rocks was a small forest of large trees and bushes.

Danzo looked at twin streams that were 1640 yards away [1.5 KM]. "Let's see, with the storm brewing my information gathering will be stopped, but with the storm, I could hide my tracks better."

He looked down at the mountain, he was standing on top of smoking his pipe while squatting and squinting his eyes at twin streams. "The mountain is filled with red chakra crystals, great for mining, suspicions to regular civilians."

Looking down Danzo picked up a small crystal that was between the rocks, he crushed it with ease. 'Red crystals are a by-product from Bijuu attacks.' He knew how useful these crystals are, after all, they power all of Konoha's electricity.

Danzo exhaled the smoke and chuckled a little, remembering a dumb shinobi who tried to ingest them, only to explode in a shower of gore. He took the last puff from his kiseru and tapped the pipe with his hand. "Let's do this." He spoke while exhaling.

.

Danzo jumped from the mountain and gathered chakra to the tip of his fingers, and he began to rotate his chakra, akin to a drill the chakra spun around, and Danzo plunged his fist into the rocky mountain.

He picked a spot that was hard to find, a hole that was covered in bushes next to the mountain, after a thirty-foot drop, Danzo found himself in a tight hole that could barely fit a child.

Thrusting his hand to the side of the mountain, he dug into it; after half an hour of digging and pushing the rubble behind him, he created a tight pocket space with little air coming in.

Danzo kept on digging, he made a path away from his hidden entrance for the flood water that was about to come, and every bit of unneeded rock or rubble was stored in his seals.

He made four tunnels, each connected to the other; every bit of the tunnel was trapped to hell and back, poisoned daggers, sharp rocks that exploded outward, air sealing seals, fake dead ends, fake hidden doors, fake places like mines and fake safe houses with a clone ready to explode in case he was found.

For every dead end, Danzo placed skeletal remains he had in his old seals. 'you never know when you need skeletons.' Each skeleton had notes and pickaxes, every skeleton was a hidden miner that tried to strike it rich, but 'suddenly' dying alone.

Each skeleton note explained the fake mines to fool people away from his hidden spots, each one leading to a dead end or explaining that they made these tunnels and placed fake skeletons around.

Each skeleton had a story, that seemed believable, and it would take a well-trained shinobi to know if these notes were fake.

And to be extra safe he made a hidden entrance in the clearly fake mines, the tunnel was small, and one had to crawl akin to a bug to get in, after passing over seven traps in the crawling tunnel, Danzo made a hole.

The hole was ten feet long and twelve feet wide, and the holes were filled with red chakra crystals; he flattened a part of the wall and began working on his plans.

(Danzo mediocre plan room. Not bad, and not so great)

.

Danzo looked at his work and smiled, In front of him was the flattened earth made into a makeshift wall, next to the maps he pulled out were small torches that lit up the room, he looked up at the air vent. "I won't have to worry about that, I think I outdid it with the tunnels, but you can never be too paranoid." He nodded to himself and placed exploding suicide seals on himself.

He pulled out one of the many sealing scrolls he had, and he looked at an old tattered one made from animal hides. Sealing seals are curious, when someone wishes to seal something, the chakra breaks down the matter and seals it inside the scroll.

Each scroll remembers the state of the item that was sealed, and when one wishes to pull something out, the seal recreates the state of the item from the matter that was previously broken down.

Danzo frowned. "If only we could seal people with these." He knew why that is impossible, chakra is part of the soul, and even a tiny bit of chakra would resist anything that tries to break it down.

Danzo knows three types of chakra, body chakra which was made by the body itself, soul chakra which was made by the soul part and can be trained by experience and learning, and finally natural chakra which can be found everywhere in the world.

This is why no one can seal a live person in seals, the soul part refuses to break until it is gone.

Shrugging his shoulder; Danzo pulled out his scroll and channeled some chakra to it, with a puff various scrolls, inks, a large leathered tarp, and papers appeared.

He bent down and began to work, first he placed the leather tarp on the wall, the seals on the back of the tarp worked and it stuck to the wall.

Danzo smiled and placed various papers on the leather, and he spoke while touching the paper and thinking of a name. "Suna, Iwa, Pirates, Konoha, Kumo."

The paper glowed a little, and all the names he said appeared on each paper, then he spoke again. "The new Daimyo faction, the Yakuza, the hidden mist, order of the mist, the princess faction, the old shinobi faction."

The paper glowed and each piece was placed, finally, he brought one piece of paper and spoke. "Traitor… Unknown." The paper glowed and ink appeared on it.

Nodding in satisfaction Danzo pulled out another seal and more papers and books appeared. "Let's get this started." He sat down and began to read and plan.

.

.

.

(Danzo's POV) [Hidden map cave 3 days later / time 5:08 AM]

It took three days for the storm to finally stop, Danzo squinted his eyes at the finished allegiance map He raised his hand and pointed at the traitor paper, then he spoke. "Separated line." He channeled chakra, and small yellow lines began to follow his finger to Suna. "Maybe." He spoke and picked up the bonded book.

Danzo opened the book and the straps on the book quickly latched into his hand, he could see fuins running all over his skin. 'It stings, but if I have any bad intentions against Konoha the book would explode.'

The fuins stopped and receded and the binder on the book opened itself. "Let's see now." He looked inside the book and spread the section on Waves.

Danzo placed his pipe in his mouth and began to read. 'Hamada, chunin, coding specialist, asked to be sent to Waves.' Danzo wrote his name on the scroll.

He placed some tobacco in his pipe and read some more. 'Midori, chunin, summon specialist, summon type owls."

Danzo chewed on the pipe and rubbed his chin. "There is a big chance that Midori and Hamada are dead, they are currently in Kurai." He looked down at the agent names, he knew that he could have given the information to his students, but he could not risk them getting caught and tortured for information.

He lit up his pipe with his finger and looked at the names. 'Sazaki and ****, ************ ' Danzo frowned and stabbed his finger into a sharp rock, making it bleed, then he let it fall on the book.

The blocked writing cleared up. 'Sazaki and Lili, location Last town, mission failsafe if other agents are dead.' He frowned at the lack of information, but he figured it was to keep these two safes.

Taking a deep puff from his pipe, Danzo inhaled and wrote their name into the map. "That's them I need to find."

He read some more. 'Yasu, Jinja city, blackmail gatherer specialist.' Danzo exhaled and wrote his name, then he looked at the book again. 'Masaru !@#$@#%#$@#!@#!!@%$#^#$$%!@#!@%$@#%#$, last town.' Danzu raised his eyebrow. "Even after mission clearance from me, no information on him… I hope Nawaki finds something."

Danzo inhaled again and sighed, then he looked at the map and closed the book, he placed it next to the (map and looked at the map closely) "Who is the damn traitor." He cursed and his legs began to bounce out of frustration, he took a deep breath from his pipe while biting down.

"Who are you, bastard, there is no way you are dumb enough to fall for the hidden mist, you know they will kill you." He frowned and looked at the hidden mist. "Unless there was a miscalculation in Konoha and you were placed here, maybe you are dumb enough to sell out Konoha to them."

He looked at the Yakuza and shook his head. 'Low chance, but there is still a small risk.' Then he looked at Suna, Iwa, and Kumo. 'These are just precautions, but there is still a chance.'

Danzo inhaled again and exhaled on the map, his face glowed from the (red-illuminated smoke). 'No way the pirates will take you, they don't take traitors.' He knew the pirates in Waves are too cautious to cause trouble, it's one of their main places to stay after all.

Finally, his eyes landed on the final piece. 'Are you dumb enough to throw your lot with a new Daimyo?" Danzo closed his eyes and rubbed them.

He opened them again and looked at the princess faction, then the old shinobi faction, and finally the new Daimyo. He took the last puff from his pipe and exhaled. "I need fresh air, maybe I should leave this place and find my charge, the storm ended so I could finally start my real mission." He spoke to himself and stood up.

Then he gathered everything and sealed it in, he walked to the exit leaving behind an empty room.

After struggling to get out of the map room, Danzo took a deep breath from the fresh air, he looked down at the hole and pulled a wire that was attached to his hips. Instantly the hole was filled with sand, and if anyone walked by, they would not know that there used to be a maze of traps and death here.

"Damn, I love seals so much," Danzo spoke with a smile and hunched his back to look old, quickly he henged to look like an old traveler, and he spoke with a new dry and gravelly voice. "Time to get to last town."

.

.

.

(Danzo's POV) [Last town / time 10:55 AM]

A hunched-back old-looking traveler with chopped wood on his back walked across the dirt road to last town, he approached the broken old bridge and saw various people walking around, each person had a curious-looking medallion on their clothes. Danzo smiled at his stolen one.

Black, blue, red, and green. On Danzo's clothes was a green medallion for servants, Danzo carried wood on his back and hobbled around the town, he squinted his eyes at one of the captured nobles. 'Black, traitors of the highest order, those who opposed the new Daimyo.'

Looking at the captured noble Danzo kept on walking while ignoring the torture they inflicted on the noble for fun, he saw the red medallion holders smiling while hitting the previous noble with bats that were blooded. 'Civilian guards.'

Danzo reached the kitchen and lowered the wood on the floor, he quickly walked away and snuck past the kitchen. Workers that had blue medallions. 'Civilian prisoners.' He grimaced and disappeared into the shadow, hiding in an alleyway.

Last town was a mess, Danzo concluded, the report he read before arriving here spoke of a lively town that sold furs along the twin streams, last town was a town of hunters that used the mountains to the east for living.

Now last town looked like a bandit camp with torture victims hobbling on their cut stumps. 'For an open prison, it sure is an effective method, cutting their feet and hands and letting them crawl on the ground.'

He frowned when he saw a previous noble getting pissed on by a red guard. 'Now that seems excessive.' Danzo had no problem with torture, but only if it serves a purpose, why waste valuable time on useless endeavors he never understood.

Danzo looked across the town and found his target. 'Hiruzen said their base had a simple red line on the rooftop, next to their chimney.'

Quickly using his speed, Danzo soundlessly jumped from shadow to shadow, hiding and moving, it took him less than ten seconds to cross the town, he stopped on top of a tree and looked around for anyone looking for him. When he found none he quickly jumped on the roof and snuck in by the chimney.

He twisted his body around and slowly crawled down the chimney, slowly he lowered himself down and only his head peaked out of the chimney hole, and his eyes widened. 'Broken.'

The room was broken, with scratches on the walls, broken furniture, and old tatami mats with holes in them, the only thing that stopped Danzo from descending was the suspicion he had, he slowly inhaled and exhaled, using the Sarutobi jutsu that Hiruzen taught him, he exhaled a large cloud of white smoke that drifted into the room.

[White smoke jutsu]

The smoke slowly clung to anything that seemed hidden and made it look reflective with the light, he squinted and, saw various wires shining from the smoke. 'Traps…' Danzo frowned and quickly scampered out of there. 'I could use this…' Danzo smiled and jumped out of the chimney and hid in the shadows.

.

[Time 1:50 AM]

After some preparation, Danzo finally snuck into town again, this time in the cover of darkness. He saw the building he scouted earlier and he jumped into the roof, he looked at the opening he saw before.

Danzo slowly snuck into the holden pen and looked around, he found a prisoner with a black medallion on his chest, held tightly in a box, the prisoner seemed to be stuffed in that box for days now. 'I might as well save you.'

Slowly Danzo snuck behind the trapped prisoner and he quickly charged chakra to his fingers, sharpening it to a fine point, and akin to a knife he cut the box and cracked the prisoner's neck.

Then when he died, Danzo quickly sealed his body, and the cage and jumped out of there, it took him three seconds to seal him and disappear into the shadow, Danzo hopped from roof to roof, and he reached the hidden base.

He unsealed the body and quickly applied some makeup to change his skin color from pale to tanned, and he removed the body's facial beard and mustache, he changed his clothes to that of a dead Suna shinobi Danzo killed before, and he smiled at his bait.

Danzo looked down at the chimney and threw the body down. He heard various traps triggering. 'Let's hope the seal works.' Danzo jumped faster and faster, then when he was out of town he ran to the hills and hid in a cave that has a live bear in it.

He scouted the bear earlier and force-fed it sleeping pills, he quickly hid behind the large sleeping bear and pulled out the seal.

Sounds began to emit from the seal, the sound of a body getting gutted and blasted with weapons and jutsus, Danzo leaned in and waited.

.

After a while, he heard a voice coming from the seal. "Man, those Konoha shinobi sure suck at hiding secrets." He heard shuffling. "Even Suna is getting in the action now."

Another deeper voice spoke. "How the hell did you know it's a Suna shinobi? Or a shinobi, it's not the first time these idiotic red medallions wanted to rape someone in this empty house."

"Well see his head there, the other half idiot, it had a Suna mark on it, plus the clothes, I've fought some Suna shinobi and the clothes smell the same, I think the idiot tried to change his smell, but forgot his clothes."

Danzo tuned them out when they began to banter with each other, and after a while of them cleaning up he confirmed a few things, these were shinobi of the mist, he knew their bases when they talked about their commanding officers and where they are currently.

He found out that they have three basses, South port, Blood tree Village, and Mizumi village, he found out that they scared the locals with genjutsu and kept a personal prison in the mines near blood tree village.

"I am telling you, that bitch sucks! She has flabby breasts; why do you keep hiring her?"

"Fuck off you, don't think I didn't miss that time in prison when you kept staring at that buff prisoner's chest, I bet you like them dark huh?"

Danzo tuned them out again, but he felt a buzz near his left chest, he quickly pulled out a small seal. 'That's Tsuyoi's seal.' He frowned. 'He must have found something, or he is in need of help.'

Suddenly his other seal spoke again. "So, we still got that Konoha bitch locked up?"

"Yeah the commander thought of moving him from Kurai, but he kept him there to stir up any friends he may have… I mean he was a cunt, but you know tree huggers."

Danzo smiled. "I guess I'm coming Tsuyoi."

(Nawaki)

Nawaki lifted his small axe and smashed it down on a large piece of wood, he took a deep foggy breath and looked up at the giant pirate ship. When he came to first town he never thought that a small town like this one housed a massive hidden port.

First town was crawling with lowlifes, thieves, orphans, smugglers, and all kinds of wrong people. Apparently, First town was made to serve these types of people; even the old shinobi respected this place and left them to their own.

Nawaki sighed and picked up the lumber and walked towards the pirate ship, his temporary master was waiting for him, he looked down at his tattered clothes and dirty hands to better fit in with the local orphans.

"Oi Bamki!" A drunk sleazy voice called out to him.

Nawaki looked up and saw his master swinging his feet up and down on a large log hanging in the air next to the ship. "Yeah?!"

His master swung his bottle around. "Just drop the lumber right there and call it a day kid, some idiot started a fight with the pirates."

Nawaki frowned and walked towards the massive heaps of lumber, he threw it down and looked in the distance to see various shinobi pirates talking with the harbor master.

"No! Someone stole our supplies, and we will not pay for more supplies!" One of the angry pirates shouted at the harbor master.

The harbor master frowned and scratched his beard. "Listen here you little piece of cat shit, you fucking know our rules; once you pay and take it, it's your responsibility."

One of the pirates drew his sword and instantly two orphans that no one paid attention to; jumped at him with their small daggers, the pirate stopped what he was about to do, and the harbor master sighed.

Nawaki frowned. 'This is the fifth time someone stole from this group.' Nawaki shook his head. 'There is something here… I will think about it later.'

Walking away from the fight Nawaki dodged two men carrying a large log, he moved around and intentionally made sounds with his feet to better fit in.

After walking for a while, he inhaled more of the foggy air, he could smell the damp lumber, and the sound of axes hitting the wood, snapping and reshaping it, he closed his eyes for a moment and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Nawaki opened his eyes from his short vacation and walked towards the orphan kitchen; the house was small and rotten, and he could see black mold crawling on the damp wooden house.

Orange lights penetrated the fogs of Waves and showed Nawaki the way, he saw a gathering of orphans, hungry with sunken eyes, work scars on their hands, and small bowls in their hands to fill their hungry hearts.

Nawaki stepped in line, waited for his turn, and when he was called in, he saw an old woman, fat and full, looking down at him with contempt. "How many?" She asked with narrowed eyes.

Nawaki looked at her dumbly, and she grew agitated. "Zuki! How many hours did the idiot do today?!" This was his cover; he was one of the dumb kids; thankfully he mastered his role thanks to Billy's childhood antics.

A thin man stood next to the full woman, and comparing them would always result in the same conclusion, she stole his fat and his paycheck. The man took out his wooden tablet and read it. "Hmm, Bamki worked a total of twelve hours today."

The woman narrowed her eyes. "Did you skimp on work?!" She accused.

Just when Nawaki was about to defend himself, a voice spoke up. "No, mistress, master Pokiza released all of his workers today, some idiot started a ruckus, and no work can be done today."

Nawaki turned around slowly with dumb eyes that gently blinked, he gave the newcomer a large smile. "Bibi!" He spoke dumbly and hugged the larger girl. "Wan play?"

Bibi, or Maeda, smiled kindly to Nawaki and petted his head. "Not now, Bamki, maybe later."

"Auhu." Nawaki nodded and turned to the fat woman, who sighed.

"Just give him his food Zuki."

Zuki gave a short bow and went to the back of the house; then he brought a small rice bowl half filled with rice, and he gave it to Nawaki. "Yay! Yum, Yums!" Nawaki took hold of the bowl.

Nawaki skipped out of the house and sat on the ground next to the big group of orphans, he saw the same thin girl playing with some pebbles, next to her is an empty bowl.

As always, Nawaki walked to her and spoke slowly. "You wan, trade Jiji?"

The girl looked up brightly at Nawaki and gave a happy nod, Jiji or Ohashi traded her pebbles with his food, and she immediately began to eat afraid that someone will bully her and take the food from her.

Ohashi was mute, and she helped her sister sew the sails on the pirate ships, her sister Maeda could not let her work much on account of her age and sickly appearance, so Nawaki traded the little food he got and got anything that is useless on the girl's hands.

Smiling with his pebbles, Nawaki sat near the house and played with the pebbles, he made dumb noises and acted the fool, but he was listening in on the fat woman, the workers, and the orphans speaking.

"Hey, did you hear about what happened at the docks?"

"Again?!"

"He is so cool, you guys. I swear I saw him while I was loading the ship!"

"This ghost business brings nothing but trouble I tell ya Zuki-san."

"You are a fucking chump, so what if you caught him, it's not like there is a bounty or anything like that idiot."

Nawaki narrowed his eyes. 'Hmm… a ghost, I better find out what this is all about… but where to start?' He tossed the pebble in the air.

"I swear you guys! I was on the sand pirate ship loading right, and bam I saw the ghost go into the western forest!"

Nawaki smiled. 'Well, that is convenient.'

.

.

.

Nawaki walked silently under the trees, looking for clues on where to find anything about the so-called ghost. He searched the forest for days, coming every night, trying to find anything.

Whenever he fails, he brings food to the orphans, feeding them by dropping a boar, a stag, or a group of rabbits, and not revealing himself; the children believe it to be the ghost.

After another failed search around the forest, Nawaki caught a small boar and sealed it, in his seal, then he rolled around in mud again. No one questions a mentally handicapped person why they play in the mud every day.

Nawaki walked through the fog, slowly and carefully avoiding any noise, and looking for anything that might harm him; when he was about to reach orphans, he felt cold.

Trusting his instinct, he tried to jump away, but he was too late. The cold steel of a kunai was resting on his neck. "One wrong move and blood come out."

His brain began working; he could feel time slowing down, and his heartbeat became faster and faster, trying to find any solution to the mess. The hand holding the kunai was still there, and he felt another hand touch his other shoulder.

He heard the sound of someone climbing out of the mud, a person covered in brown dirt… not mud. 'How many days did this person stay under the dirt?' thought Nawaki.

Nawaki could see some patches of dirt that were drier than the rest, indicating that his body was blocking water to them. 'Three? No, maybe five days.' Thought Nawaki; he saw the man slowly looking down at him, Kunai still there.

Dirt, Mud, grass, and leaves were all over his body; if the man leaned on a mound of dirt Nawaki knew that he could not have sensed him. "Who are you?" the mud man asked.

Nawaki gulped. "Bamki… You wan play wit Bumki?" Nawaki fell back on his disguise.

The man raised a single eyebrow; dirt fell down from his brows. "You can cut the act, kid, I've been watching you for four days, going and coming through the same path, Stepping on me."

The man Squatted down and looked Nawaki in the eyes. "First day, time 21:54:05, you stepped on my right foot catch of the day a fat boar, boar's death was through a kunai to the eye, unsealed right next to that tree."

The man scratched the Kunai on Nawaki's neck. "Second day, Time 22:50:50 you stepped on my head, catch of the day a large stag, unsealed on top of the tree, hung and disembowel and cut into smaller pieces in five minutes."

The man's eyes slowly opened wider, and a small amount of killing intent pushed into Nawaki; he felt his heart slow down and his back shiver. "Do I need to go on? Who are you?"

Nawaki's brain could not work on account of killing intent. "N-name Bumki?"

The man deadpanned. "Troublesome."

.

.

.

Nawaki sat in this new hole, it reminded him of a story that Billy once told him, about a hobbit and a warm hole. The hole did not have much, a sleeping mat, a small desk pen and papers laying around, and two shogi boards one was empty, and the other was already full, and the game was paused.

The hole was fifty feet underground, a small opening about eight inches {20 CM} wide and five inches tall; the tunnel led deep underground, several traps were there, and several seals were placed around the tunnel to cast Genjutsu, fooling people into thinking that this was a rabbits hole.

Nawaki looked up and saw a small pipe leading up, past fifty feet, and towards the middle of a tree, the pipe reached all the way up towards the branches, and the pipe brought fresh air down to the hole.

The sound and the noise were easily moved with the hot air that left through the opening of the cave, which after a while becomes muffled and hard to hear, thanks to the unique design of the cave.

Nawaki looked at the creator of the 'Emergency quick bunker' Masaru Nara, who was rubbing his eyebrows with annoyance. "So… Let me get this straight, you knew I was a Nara because I said 'Troublesome?'"

Nawaki respectfully sat on his knees. "Yes."

The man opened one eye and looked at him; the man was still covered in mud and grass. "But that does not make sense."

Nawaki shrugged. "Well, to people outside of Konoha, sure, they won't know, but have you seen your clan? It's like a trademark at this point; I fear the day that you would sue me because I said Troublesome."

Masaru closed his eyes and rubbed his nose again, then he looked at the shogi board and removed a pawn and placed it in his section, he looked at Nawaki and pointed at the empty board. "Place your army Nawaki."

Nawaki intrigued, crawled on his hands and knees on account of the cave being so small. He placed his pawns, Lances, silver and gold generals, rook, castles, and finally, the king.

He saw Masaru do the same, and Nawaki started by moving a pawn forward. "You are pretty dumb, aren't you?" Masaru commented while moving another pawn.

"What? We just started; that is uncalled for." Nawaki bit his lips and moved his lance piece.

Masaru moved another pawn. "Not the game; what the hell were you doing? Hunting game for the orphans."

"Oh…" Nawaki frowned and moved a pawn for future play. "What was I supposed to do? Let them starve?"

"Yes," (Masaru) spoke quickly and finally moved his knight and ate Nawaki's pawn.

"What, but they are just children." He moved his pawn and ate the knight.

Masaru narrowed his eyes, and a bit of mud fell on the floor. "Idiot." He shook his head and moved a lance. "You are in an unfamiliar territory, in the middle of a war; you have information that." Nawaki moved his other knight. "Your outpost in this position was compromised, and you." He moved another valuable piece to protect his other pieces. "Go around displaying your shinobi abilities while you were supposed to be in hiding?"

Tightening his fist, Nawaki ate the valuable piece and looked at Masaru. "I know."

Masaru moved another piece and ate Nawaki's king winning the game, the sound of two wooden pieces hitting each other reverberated inside the cave and Nawaki could feel the sound leave towards the hole. "You don't know shit." Masaru looked at him with his eyes in a (lazy manner).

The mud-covered shinobi looked at the second board and moved the pawn piece and changed it into a knight piece. "But you will know, you have potential; you made me think for a second while we played." He pointed at a corner of the cave. "Sleep for now; tomorrow I will show you around.

Nawaki kept his eyes on the board. He looked at his king piece and picked it up. "Can I keep this?" he asked without looking, only to hear a hmm in agreement; Nawaki sealed the king piece as a reminder.

He knew that he fucked up, but he would learn, and he will grow stronger. Looking at the corner, he unsealed his sleeping mattress and laid down, immediately going to sleep.
