With a weapon

It wasn't long before the two finished eating. So it was time for Gareth to teach Greg something new which they both were excited. Gareth because he wanted to see Greg grow more capable and Greg for the similar reason of wanting to become stronger.

Although he could still remember his mom's harsh words, He wished to save her!

In order to do that he knew he needed to become way stronger. Gareth waved his hand to shoe Morgania away. After that he began his lesson.

"I Haven't told you this because I thought it was of no use until later but when I was in my originally form my class was a blacksmith." Gareth said with his head held high.

However he only got a puzzled look from Greg who knew nothing about blacksmiths. Gareth realizing this chose to just continue talking with tinge of bruised ego.

He was hoping Greg would say something along the lines of. 'Amazing you become the demon god of the abyss even though you were only a blacksmith.' Then he would boast about humble beginnings.

"Well a blacksmith is a person who crafts mighty weapons and equipment. Through my many years I amassed a hoard of weapons many made by yours truly and few taken of dead enemies. Now I want to see if you are capable of summoning my weapons from my vault and making your own weapons." Gareth boasted even more hoping to see a good reaction from Greg and that he did.

Wide eyed Greg immediately and enthusiastically said. "Your awesome! I want to make a powerful weapon too."

Gareth was glad that he didn't want to just mooch off his weapons because he was keeping the in a vault not to share them, but he still had to show Greg some of them in order for him to learn.

"Okay, before you do use your summoning magic while repeating these words. <Great guardian of the thousand atrocities, grant me access to vault demon god abyss> After saying these words you will hear the voice of the guardian. He will guide you through my vault to the weapons you can wield."

Without hesitation Greg started to activate the summoning and as the portal opened he began to chant. "Great guardian of the thousand atrocities, grant me access to the vault of the demon god of the abyss!"

after repeating this a three more times, he felt his body fall into darkness.

No it was different from that, alike the dark world his senses were muffled to the point he couldn't feel or smell or see anything!

Although it was common in the dark world he could still have a sense of connection to his body but this was more like what he felt in the place "nothing" took him.

"How surprising, your not him but you share his familiar aura." thousands upon thousands Voices said all around him in unison but each voice was different, It caused Greg to ache.

"Are you the great guardian?" Greg asked while still recovering and preparing for his next words.

Suddenly a fish swam in front of him. "Yes, I am thee." It said with a lot of different voices coming from the fish's mouth and this time it wasn't painful.

"Since you know who I am and you have a familiar aura I shall take you to the vault as requested. Follow me." Then the fish turned around and swam forward.

Without saying a word Greg took a few steps and suddenly found himself in a grey room with no end and walls lined with different weapons.

In front of him was the guardian looking at him with curious eyes. "I can't guess your style so you tell me what type of fighting style do you prefer, long range or close range?"

Greg was still confused by suddenly appearing in another place but he answered after a little thought. "I prefer to fight close ranged and I like to fight with short weapons like gauntlets or daggers."

"Good you answered my second and third questions before I even asked. I'll show you those then." The fish said and suddenly many of the weapons on the wall disappeared as the room shrank and the end of the room appeared.

Soon enough only daggers and gauntlets were left, there were still quite a lot of them.

"Go ahead look around lick them up to see their stats and attributes. Oh, don't worry by the way all of these are suited to your rank and element." The fish said then started to dissipate.

Greg walked over to a silver set of daggers he picked them up and immediately saw its name an attributes.

(numbers work in percent. For example +3 is plus 3% of users speed or strength or element. mana capacity is how much mana it can hold it's based on the Rank it is. Like a Rank-C advanced grade can hold more than a Rank-C basic grade. Next is element it basically increases the power of said element, some can have no element basically meaning it can increase any element.

After selecting his two weapons he called out to the guardian.

It appeared next to him floating on a pillow in the form of a cat.

"I'm glad to see you've found something you like. Head back and I'll send your weapons through your summoning circle." The cat with a sort of smile then it jumped on Greg's head.

He suddenly felt as if he was falling into warmth. It only took a few seconds for his senses to return.

He saw he was still in the cave with Gareth looking at him and a summoning circle in front of him.

Seeing the light return to his eyes Gareth asked him. "Did you get a good weapon and did you get me one too."

"yes and no, but don't worry you'll see them in a second." Greg said and as he said this the daggers and gauntlet appeared from the circle.

"Hmm, Daggers and a gauntlet. Good choices, You should summon link the daggers so you can always summon them and they will naturally absorb energy from you."

Greg did as he said and poured energy into the daggers until they linked with him it took a lot more energy since they were higher rank.

After that he blew out the fire to absorb energy from the darkness, then he went onto the next steps of this training.
