96 Chapter 23: The past that never forgets(part-3)

" achoo! captain where are we?" Rosita asked as she let out a light sneeze. She and Sanemi had been traveling for a few months now and had already crossed the Grandline and reached 'Paradise'.

"This should be drum island. I heard that there are exceptional doctors that live here, so I decided to take some with me" Sanemi replied.

"Also we should be able to buy warmer clothes there," Sanemi said as he continued to guide the ship.

a few minutes later they finally made it in the dock as Sanemi pulled down the anchor and entered the island with Rosita.

"Where we have entered should be Robelle, out of the whole drum island it has the most shops," Sanemi said as he and Rosita went around to buy some warmer clothes.

After a few hours of shopping both Sanemi and Rosita were now resting in a restaurant while having some of the local specialties of Drum Island. Suddenly the doors of the restaurant were burst open as a man walked in.

"We have caught the snow demon! come over if you wanna watch it!" The man yelled before he rushed outside and joined what seemed to be a parade of men with torches in thier hands.

"They really caught him?"

"I heard that the boy could turn into a giant snow monster how did they catch him?"

"I learned from someone that the boy's weakness was fire or anything hot"

Similar whispers were spread among the people who were dining as some who had finished joined the rally. Seeing the situation on hand Sanemi stood up and approached one of the men who were about to join.

"Hey, I wanna ask something, I heard something about the snow demon what is that all about?" Sanemi asked as he put his hands on the man's shoulder.

"hmmm? You don't know? you must be new around the area. The snow demon is someone who has the power to control and command snow! he must be the reason for the everlasting snow in drum island! it seems that he has been caught and will probably be executed" The man informed Sanemi as he walked away.

"Captain are we going to do something about it?" Rosita asked as she approached Sanemi.

"This snow demon should probably be a devil fruit user, but we should go and see the situation at hand. If he turns out to be guilty there is nothing we should do. However, if it is all a misunderstanding I guess we need a third member anyways" Sanemi said as he and Rosita too joined the parade to see the snow demon.

Sanemi and Rosita approached the center of the Robelle where a dark-skinned boy wearing rags seemed to hang on a crucifix.

The crucifix was on a raised stone platform and was surrounded by blazing torches. Some men also surrounded the crucifix with thier torches raised.

"He is indeed a devil fruit user it seems...a young one at that" Sanemi whispered.

"Indeed...he doesn't seem to be older than thirteen or fourteen," Rosita said in agreement.

"I have decided...in that vase Rosita go and raise the anchor...we are going to have a new member today!" Sanemi said with a smile as Rosita immediately left the scene.

"Haaaa!" With a loud yell, Sanemi jumped and landed on the raised platform announcing his appearance. With a huge grin on his face, Sanemi walked to the boy who was hanged.

"You have two options...one you die here or the second one where you come join me. Chose" Sanemi stated loudly as the whole crowd heard his word.

Hearing his words the crowd went wild as they started to throw whatever they could find towards Sanemi. Sanemi turned his head towards the crowd as his Vision gave a golden glow. The flames of the torches crystallized around them creating a shield.

"I will...follow you..." The boy muttered weakly as Sanemi's grin grew.

"Good answer!" Sanemi exclaimed as he grabbed the boy and jumped off the stage.

"After him!!"

"Don't let him get away!"

"They are saving the demon get them!!"

Similar shouts were heard from the crowd as they gathered whatever weapon they could and charged after Sanemi. The whole crowd followed him as Sanemi continued to run away from the townsfolk.

'This should be good enough distance' Sanemi thought to himself as he gathered the power of quakes in his hands and released an earthquake of magnitude 5 on the whole town shaking and destroying some of the buildings.

"You deserved that much!" Sanemi yelled as he fled the scene with the boy in his arm.

Sanemi boarded the ship with the boy took him to one of the unoccupied rooms and laid him there. Sanemi then pulled out a senzu bean and fed it to the boy. In a matter of seconds, the boy sat up as his eyes wandered around the room and settled on Sanemi and Rosita.

"So kid...what is your name?" Sanemi asked.

"Otto...puck," Otto said as he tried to stretch his body a little.

"Well, then Otto from on you are the helmsman of the ship! Black Pearl! Welcome abode!" Sanemi said as he patted Otto's back.

"Glad to be here in that case captain," Otto said with a small smile.

"Otto!!" Adam yelled as he saw Otto's face getting hit by a lava hound completely melting that side of it.

"Damn you!!" Adam yelled as his fist turned ragged black as he produced a wave of flames towards Akainu. Akainu released another wave of lava which clashed with Adam's flames pushing him back.

'Frozen...storm' Otto thought as with his willpower he released a storm of cold winds and Snow towards the marines blowing most of them away.

'Seems like that is all I could do...Sorry for being so useless after everything you did for me captain..."

'Damn I really wanted to drink the world's best booze together partner' With those thought Otto Puch the third division captain of Oni Pirates passed away.
