Chapter 8 The Anti-Holy Sword and Insectomancy

Eclipse’s POV

I woke up with my arms feeling like something was dug out of them and then replaced with lead. My lower jaw also felt strange like it was no longer one jaw.

I groaned as I sat up. “HAY is anyone there?” I shouted noticing no one was around.

“Oh! Eclipse is awake!” Shouted Scythe in excitement then flew directly to my boobs or what passed for one on my five-year-old body and hugged me as best as she could. But it was more like she hit a wall than a hug.

“Hay Scythe where’s Talia?” I asked pulling her off my chest.

“Oh, that directionally challenged girl she’s out gathering fire wood and harvesting loot from the corpses of the bugs.” Replied Scythe.

“Bugs?” I asked looking around and seeing that I’m in some sort of forest. “Hay where are we?” I questioned.

“The bug forest just outside of that poisoned town.” Spat Scythe.

“Oh, so the first equivalent of a field dungeon. But your wrong I studied the maps while I was still in the town. We are several hundred miles from that accursed town.” I said ending in a growl.

“I know how you feel but you don’t have to worry about the town it’s been throuly cleansed. Fitting that a the poisoness town was poisoned.” She giggled.

I couldn’t help but laugh at the irony. “So, who poisoned it?” I asked calming down.

“Welllll,” She hesitated.

“Who?” I demanded.

She looked away and mumbled something.

“I can’t hear you. Speak louder.” I growled.

“A dragon poisoned the city!” She shouted.

“Ok then why did you try to hide it from me.” I asked then it came to me. “So, I finally unlocked my demon.” I sulked.

“Yes, and you then proceeded to kill the dragon and absorb it. So, I would be cautious about your bodily fluids from now on.” She warned.

“Dam I don’t want that dragon I won’t be able to get close to anyone.” I wined.

“Sorry but thems the brakes.” She shrugged.

“Ok, no. that saying doesn’t even work here no one but me and Talia would understand that.” I groaned rubbing the bridge of my nose. “Wait if you said I beat it then. ‘Inventory.’” I said aloud.

My inventory popped up showing several tabs unlike last time where it had everything scattered in one tab it now had a tab for several categories. One for weapons one for armor one for food one for alchemy one for smithing and the last for miscellaneous things. I first opened the weapons tab and noticed it was cluttered with broken and regular swords that the skeletons used. There were a few wands and bows but mostly it was swords. I decided to sort my weapons out to those that I use the most starting from Yubishiri and ending with the third slot as The Bow of the Ancients the rest were sorted by rarity.

I then went into the clothing tab. It also apparently held my shields and arrows, so I decided to organize that to where my Reaper set was in the first few slots and my Roulette quiver was in the 11th slot. And just like my weapons my armor and clothing were sorted by rarity.

I then went into my alchemy tab skipping the food tab and in the first hundred slots were blood of the poison dragon and saliva as well as several organs. The rest were plants I received as drops or picked up in the dungeon. I sighed glad that I got the pieces I need to make something to contain my new poison.

I didn’t even bother going into smithing or miscellaneous tabs because I didn’t care at the moment. Then I heard several twigs snap signaling Talia’s return.

“Hay I’m back! Did Eclipse wake up yet?” She called out just as she came into view.

Surprised and remembering that I’m now spewing poison whenever I breath I quickly covered my mouth with my hand hoping to stop the poisons spread.

“Oh, you are! But why are you covering your mouth?” She started off cheery but ended in confusion.

“Um well…” I stalled trying to come up with an answer but then I wanted to hit my self because she use to be a serious gamer as well as a huge anime fan. “I kind of absorbed that poison dragon so I’m currently spewing poison from every breath.” Groaned behind my hand.

“Oh!? How did you do that?” She asked.

“Honestly I don’t know but I think it has something to do with a virous I consumed when I was desperate.” I whispered.

“What was the virous called?” She asked getting closer apparently able to hear my whisper.

Surprised she heard me I then slumped because I had no knowledge of the virous except its name. “Well I don’t know if its good or bad, but it was called The Black Light Virous.” I cringed waiting for her to yell at me.

“Oh, I see I understand now.” She said cheerfully. “But if you absorbed the dragons poisones body then we can’t go into any city until we have a countermeasure.” She said thinking.

Be for I could say something I felt something wet suddenly run across my mouth. I quickly pulled my hand away from my mouth in surprise and looked at my hand then screamed. There sitting in the middle of my palm was a circular mouth covered in teeth a pink tong was sticking out of it slowly being pulled back in. The mouth was almost taking up my entire palm and I could see the countless teeth that spaded even further down its throat it looked like the throat went on forever. The tong finally made it into its mouth then it closed not showing a single sight it was even there.

“Well that’s not creepy at all.” I hear the sarcastic voice in my right ear. I looked to see Talia leaning over my shoulder.

“No kidding it looked more disgusting than that wart on your right arm Talia” I hear the snickering of Scythe in my left ear.

“I don’t have a wart I told you it’s a bug bite!” Talia shouted at Scythe while she was still leaning next to my ear causing me to get disoriented and have temporary hearing loss in my right ear.

“Then that was on ugly bug bite.” Scythe snickered.

“Just drop it!” She shouted again.

“Ladies, Ladies your both pretty but would you please not yell in my very sensitive ears?!” I shouted pushing them away.

“Oops sorry Eclipse forgot you were there.” She replied sheepishly.

“Really? You forgot? Your parents should have called you scatterbrain.” I grumbled.

“Hay! I’m not that bad!” She wined.

“Really well my right ear would like to beg to differ.” I said.

She then cutely puffed out her cheeks. “You don’t have to be that mean about it.”

“Oh, please you two are acting like an old married couple.” Said Scythe.

“Stay out of it.” Both of us snapped.

“But aren’t you both forgetting something?” She asked.

“What?” We both asked.

“The fact that Eclipse now has two mouths on her hands.” She stated.

We both had the look of realization. “Oh right. Guess were both scatterbrained.” We both grumbled.

I looked at my hand and poked at my palm, but I still somehow felt the sensation of me poking my palm. “Well I can still feel it.” I told them then used observe.

Hand of the devourer: A hand that has been infested by the devourer worm. A sub species that was created by Gluttony. The worm has a bottomless stomach and has the ability to control and store insects as long as they don’t have a queen and can fit in the user’s palm. The worm can also take blood from another person its latched onto and give heath back to the user. Warning the user is unable to remove the worm at any point or else they will die.

“Apparently it’s a Devourer worm in my hand.” I said out loud.

“Devourer worm?... Never heard of it.” Talia said pausing to think.

“It must be a new creation by Gluttony. He has a habit of making bugs specifically for battle.” Said Scythe.

“Is it his hoby?” Asked Talia.

“Yes and no apparently he’s been working on making a new class similar to Taming, but he hasn’t revealed it yet.” She replied.

“Um I can answer that question.” I said looking at my new stats.

“Apparently, it’s called Insectomancy It also gave me Insect Master. Both skills are similar the only difference is that one is used to over power while the other is meant to persuade insects.” I replied looking at my new skills.

“While I’ve heard of Insect Master. Insectomancy is a new one.” Replied Scythe.

“I’ve heard of Insectomancy usually you use magic to over power the minds of insects and control them to do your bidding. Sometimes they are able to summon ones they have already subjugated.” Said Talia then they went back to discussing the topic of my new skill and ability’s.

I stopped lessoning when I noticed something next to the poison body skill. When I tapped it, a new window opened, and it showed my body with my current body parts it then listed where every poison I contained was located and how it was activated currently I had no poisons equipped but I had several to choose from. I tried to close the window, but it showed me a warning that stopped me.

Warning if you exit this window without selecting where to apply the poisons they will randomly be applied.

I sighed as I went back to the window and selected them. I placed a numbing poison to my breath while my nails got a paralytic poison. My sweat got a poison that inflicts pain while my saliva got a progressive poison that I could control. My blood got a corrosive poison and my hidden fangs had an instant killing poison. When I was done deciding the window automatically closed but the button was still next to it. This told me that I could edit it anytime.

I sighed as I closed my skills. As it closed I felt like someone tugged on the back of my shirt. I turned to see no one there. I turned back around to see the two of them arguing then I felt the tug again. I quickly turned around but there still was no one there then I felt the tug a gain but this time I was in front of me. Confused I walked towards the strange pull I completely forgot about the two that were arguing behind me and left them behind.

I walked for I don’t know how long but the pull steadily got stronger and stronger as I walked I would sometimes come across big insects but the moment they felt my blood lust (Thanks Toyohisa.) they ran away or died. I then came upon a clearing after scaring a giant beetle away. In the center of the clearing was a giant ant hill and sticking out of the ant hill was a Japanese style sword. The hilt was black with red engravings the blade was also black but had red runes engraved on the blaid. The sword almost felt like it was whispering to me I started to walk forward but stopped at the base of the ant hill. I looked up at the sword that would have been out of reach of even a full-grown man. I then used to observe on the ant hill.

Ancient Iron Bullet Ant hill: An old ant hill colonized by a variant species of Bullet ants that are bigger stronger and have harder shells than normal bullet ants. Each colony has a queen making it harder to tame. In order to tame you must help them in some large way. Then you will be able to place in some form of storage.

Taming requirements: Remove sword from hill and give ants a lot of food.

It seemed simple enough, but I knew it was never simple. So, I quickly removed 100 pounds of food from storage and placed it on the ground. Not knowing what they eat I pulled various types of food. Then I climbed the hill in order to reach the sword. I was confused when the first step felt like rock and no grains slipped off, so I used gods’ eyes again and saw the problem and why the ants needed food. The sword that was buried into the mound was solidifying the underground network making it impossible for the ants to exit the hill. I quickened my pace and made it to the sword gripping its handle I removed the sword and immediately tumbled down the hill directly into the pile of food. Likely none of it stuck to me. I looked up at the mound to see several thousand ants emerge from the hill almost like black lava. I herd one of them screech as it saw the food and me standing next to it with the sword firmly planed into the ground. They approved carefully and stopped as one that was much bigger and was completely white stepped closer.

“Human were you the one that set us free?” It asked but to my ears it was a series of clicks, but I somehow understood what it said.

Surprised that I could understand it but since it sounded royal I decided to act politely “I did I also am providing your colony with this food. Though I didn’t know what you ate I prepared several different things for you.” I replied bowing figuring it was the queen.

“And what do you ask of us in return?” He questioned.

“I only wish to keep the blade that was keeping you trapped in your mound.” I replied.

“You may but I cannot let you have just that.” She then snapped her fingers as several soldier ants came forward in between them was a smaller white ant. “I will allow you to have my first daughter and a handful of my soldiers workers and gatherers to set up a new colony in your storage.” She replied.

“I would be honored to accept your generosity.” I replied bowing again.

“Can you show us to our new home?” A soft voice asked.

I looked down at the young queen. “Of course, princess. Or should I call you queen?”

“Oh, why thank you while I’m Queen to my colony you may call me Princess.” She replied shyly.

“Ok but I would prefer to give you a name if you don’t have one of course.” I said

“Oh, my mother called me Yuki.” She replied seemingly with more confidence.

“Ok, then I will also call you Yuki. I hope we can help each other out.” I said with a smile then opened a void portal to my Void pocket dimension.

I watched as she walked in with her shoulders workers and gatherers. I followed them in and saw the empty space for the first time. I never used the space because of my inventory but when I walked in I was expecting it to be a pitch back void not a vast open plain with some trees and wild life. But there was a limit I could see a mist on the horizon guessing it was the edge of my Void pocket I warned the princess about it. She seemed to understand and had her workers get to work immediately on the open field. I then placed more food for them, so they didn’t need to scavenge for food for a little while, but I highly doubt they would need any more provisions with this pocket dimension.

I then exited my pocket dimension and returned to my friends’ sword still in hand. I quickly used Gods eyes on it and instantly took note of its name.

Rubilacxe: A sword that is said to be a demon sword it was created by an Omniogi to combat Excalibur. Where Excalibur overpowers its opponents, this sword was more about outmaneuvering its opponents. The swords transformation skill is similar to Excalibur except it is limited to Japanese style weapon.

Class: Devine

Feeding it other Japanese equipment will make it stronger. If it already has that form but not the enchantments it will adopt those enchantment.

Reading this I quickly took out Excalibur and used god’s eyes on it.

Excalibur: The holy sword that could level mountains and separate the sea. Crafted by Merlin himself it is only matched by its opposite Rubilacxe. It was made to overpower opponents and can shape shift into any British type weapon.

Feeding it other British weapons will make it stronger. If it already has that weapon form but not the enchantments it will adopt those enchantments.

I slapped my forehead groaned because I now have the two most powerful weapons in existence and even they could be limited by what weapon I chose to keep them in. So, I chose a simple British throwing dagger for Excalibur and a Ninja blade for the Rubilacxe. A new sabered appeared for both of them on the blade one I shoved into a belt loop of the left side of my jeans and the other I placed behind my back, so it was parallel with my waist and easily accessible to my right hand. Then I looked back up only to see two mountains charging at me.

“Wait no!” I cried as they hit me. I was then being smothered by the two squishy mountains. “Can’t. Breath.” I gasped.

“Where did you go?” Talia cried while crushing me in-between her breasts.

“If you let me go I might be able to answer.” I gasped.

She finally let me go and I took several large breaths. “Ok well I felt a pull back that way and decided to investigate.” I said throwing my thumb over my shoulder.

“Oh, what did you find?” she asked.

“This.” I said placing my right hand on the hilt of my new sword.

“Ooh cool what’s it called?” She asked with stars in her eyes.

“It’s called Rubilacxe.” I replied pulling out the smaller version of the blade.

“Oh cool. Than what about the dagger? I don’t remember you having it before.” She motioned to Excalibur.

“Oh, I had that even before I met you.” I replied then thought better of saying the name. “But I don’t feel like telling you its name.” I whispered.

“Tats fine I’ll just use Observe.” Se replied then concentrated on the dagger. She grunted apparently because the Observation failed. “What the hell! What is that blade?” She questioned.

“It’s called nuna.” I replied continuing towards camp.

“Awwwww come on why are you being so mean.” She cried trying to catchup.

“I’m not being mean I just don’t want to tell you all my secrets.” I replied. She then puffed her cheeks in a pout. “Don’t give me that look. Hay I almost forgot this is the first time I saw you without armor.” I looked at her breast with jealousy. “Dam curse my ageless body.” I growled.

“Oh, your right but what about it?” She asked completely clueless.

“Nothing just making an observation.” I grumbled.

I made it to the clearing just as something slammed into my chest. I looked down to see Scythe crying in my chest. I started petting her head trying to calm her down.

“Shhh its ok I’m not leaving you. I promise.” I replied.

She looked up at me. “That’s ‘hiccup’ not ‘sob why.” She cried.

“Then wha-” I got interrupted.

“Hay Eclipse did you get the new notification about the Demon lord?” Talia’s cheerful voice said behind me.

I instantly froze and pieced together the events. “No, I haven’t even got any notifications since I woke up.” I told her.

“Oh! The auto notifications must have shut off.” She said.

“Ok guess I’ll turn them back on.” I replied.

‘Settings.’ I thought, and the menu popped up.

I then understood why none showed up. I then selected Notifications and saw a giant fucking list.

“Why?” I groaned aloud.

“Why what?” I heard Talia ask but ignored her because I had a lot of reading to do.

The first notification was about how I made friends with insects the next one had info about the new worm and so on and so forth with the updates and how they changed the system. After several hours of notifications, I was finally able to turn on Alerts again. That’s when the familiar tone sounded, and my mood took a drastic turn for the worse.

Alert New quest has been issued to all gamers. In the world of Ophis there is a new event called the demon Lords rising one hero will be chosen from another world to enter Ophis and hint this demon lord. They will get the help of the strongest people in Ophis to help them hunt it down. Current hero candidates are as follows.

Alert this message is to the New Demon Lord. Raise your armies conquer the world and become the supreme being on the world of Ophis. Corrupt or turn the hero’s party against each other.

Warning any updates will be delayed until new system is installed.

I hissed and closed my notifications and jumped back because Talia was right in my face. “Ah don’t do that!” I shouted as I jumped back.

“Sorry but you were taking too long I wanted to make sure you were ok.” She pouted.

“Sorry just had a lot of notifications to shift through before it allowed me to see any new ones.” I tried to play my hiss off.

“Ok! Let’s go to sleep so we can update our systems!” She said happily.

“Yah sure let’s do that.” I replied then looked at Scythe seeing her sad look. ‘Don’t worry I will still be me when I wake up. There is no way I will fallow those missions.’ I told her through our mental link. I saw her nod and then laid down.

I then laid down and closed my eyes letting the need for sleep overtake me.

3rd POV

In the realm of the gods.

“Who the hell made this new Event!” Some one shouted in the hall where all the gods had been summoned once again.

Several of the gods looked around at one another but none of them could find the culprit just by looking at their pears.

“Well if you don’t know who made the event then let’s look into the info of the alerts.” Said Lust.

Death pulled the info up on the screen the then looked through it every god skimmed through it with a fin tooth combed. But I was only when they got to the info that is only accessible to the gods that they found their answer.

“Loki!” Shouted all the gods at once.

“I’ll kill him.” Growled war.

“He had no right to interfere with the world we are watching over.” Fumed Greed.

“How did he even find out about her?” Asked Lust.

“He was probably here when we had our meeting.” Growled Death.

“Yes, that’s the only explanation!” Cried a large man with big mussels and simple red and white clothes called Sloth.

“Can we erase it?” Asked Pride.

“No. Once a quest is issued its impossible to get rid of it.” Said Death sadly.

“I have an idea.” Envy Called out.

“Then let’s hear it.” Replied Death.

“Well if they are hunting a demon lord then let’s make a secret quest about a false demon lord and when completed it gives a good equipment and hides the other request for everyone. But now that the demon lord quest has been issued it will pop up every hundred years so we have to send the request out every time it shows up. Also, let’s interfere with her new system and give her a combination of both systems.” Continued Envy.

“Very good idea Envy!” Cried several gods.

“Good let’s get to work.” Said Death.

They immediately got to work changing her system and adding the new secret quest.
