Chapter 6 Douche Bag

Talia’s POV

Its been almost 4 years since I last saw Eclipse I had gained level 1000 about half a month ago and am currently waiting for the quest that supposedly was supposed to come.

“Come on Miss Thorn your one of the best adventurers of the paladin class and the templars are willing to pay you 12 platinum a day for your services.” Pleaded a mage with a big red cross on his chest.

I looked up from the paperwork that was currently on my table while a mug of ale rested next to my right hand. “I told you people no I’m not joining your order.” I glared.

“But why Miss Thorn? Your father is already apart of our order and is begging you to join us.” The guy wined.

“It’s simple I don’t trust your order and I am waiting for a specific request.” I replied piking up my quill and continued on my documents.

“But why Miss Thorn?” He asked.

“Why? Look around I grantee you’ll see exactly why I don’t trust your order or are you too brainwashed to see it?” I gestured to the guild hall.

Where there was several Templars currently harassing my guild mates. While others are trying to extort money from some of our more destructive and loose lipped guild mates. In fact, it has become apparent that the Templars are started to get on the nerves of most of the guild and the guild is about ready to kick them out or just outright kill them.

“Now if your done please take your Templar buddies and get out before you are either killed or tossed out.” I said with a fake closed eye smile.

“Fine but this isn’t over! Men! We’re leaving.” He shouted.

“Oh, I know you people send me a new one every single day.” I mumbled to myself.

“Something wrong boss?” A dwarf asked in a German like accent. While he watching the Templars leave.

“It’s nothing Telrec.” Then I processed what he said. “And I thought I told you never to call me boss.” I said giving him a glair.

He raised his hands up in a surrender motion. “Ok sorry Boss but they have been hounding you for the past six months.” He replied.

I rubbed the bridge of my nose at the fact that that he still hasn’t dropped the boss. “Their nothing just annoying and all talk trust me I’m never going to leave you guys for them.” I replied while setting aside the finished document. “Now I know your not here for a social visit so why have you come up to the S class floor?” I asked.

“Well you asked everyone to tell you if there is a quest for ‘The Undead Crypt’ dungeon. And well one has just arrived and well it happens to be S class.” He replied.

I quickly shot up from my seat and immediately charged down stairs and to the request board. I made it to the board in one second flat causing several people to shout at me because of the wind storm I had kicked up. There siting in the middle of the board was the quest I have been waiting for. I immediately ripped the S class poster off the wall and brought it to out appointed master who was a big guy in black armor with horns and spikes called the black abyss armor. It gave off a menacing aura, but I ignored it because it was no match for my heavenly saints set. He had tried to get me to become the master, but I declined him every time telling him that I’m still too young.

“Master I’m taking this quest.” I told him showing him the paper.

He looked at the paper and nodded. “You do know that you will have to take the fairy gate in order to get their right?” He asked.

“Yes, I know I have to take the gate or else be forced to travel on foot for three years. And yes, I know that its expensive, but I’ve been waiting for this quest.” I relied not caring about the conversation.

“Well then hopefully when you get back, you’ll take this position from me.” He replied with a laugh.

“Whatever old man you still have some fight left in you.” I joked while walking out the door waving back at them.

As soon as the door closed an exited smile grew on my face and I rushed to the fairy gate causing a wind storm behind me. Several people I passed scolded me or let out cries of surprise at my passing. I made it across town and to the fairy gate which was located in the town square. The church controlled the gate and only they new how to operate it. I groaned as I spotted the templar from earlier in the ticket booth. I place my helmet on and equipped the rest of my armor hoping he doesn’t know who I am. I made it up to him and he didn’t even look up from his paper.

“Where would you like to go?” The guy grumbled.

“Sérieu Empire I have a quest for a dungeon in that aria.” I replied thanking the gods that my helmet masks my voice.

“Ok, that will be 12 gold per person.” He replied beardly.

“What that’s 10 more gold than last time.” I replied.

“Sorry but I don’t make the rules.” He replied. I grumbled as I handed over the gold. “Thank you for your business please step into the gate and it will send you right there.”

I left him and walked towards a silver gate that was the size of a small building. It looked like a small forest was in woven into the architecture of the gate. A low hum was heard then the gate flashed to life and showed an image of a destroyed town that use to house supposed demons and hence was wiped out. I step through the gate and watched as it closed immediately. I then turned and dashed off the way of the dungeon. Normally it would take a human 3-4 months of horseback travel to get to the closest town then another 3 months to get to the dungeon. But I could run faster and longer than any horse, so I could get there within a week assuming I don’t get lost along the way.

‘Wait for me Eclipse I’m coming to see you.’ I thought to myself.

Eclipse’s POV

It’s been 4 years since I owned the dungeon and I’ve done nothing but train my new skills with both the god of death and Dracova or the void dragon and hunt any of the villagers that enter the dungeon along with my newly created skeletal friend that my Girlfriend liked. His name was Sans the skeleton and he had the ability to summon and manipulate bones and summon skeletal dragon heads that blasted laser beams. But unlike most skeletons he had human like intelligence he was also about the size of me. If humans had thousands of years of magical technology and magic theories. He wore a blue sweatshirt pink fuzzy slipper and some sort of black work out pants. He loved making skeletal puns and telling knock, knock jokes. But the one thing he doesn’t tolerate is when someone hurts his brother. Let me tell you when one of the villagers met Papyrus his brother, they attacked him, but sans intervened and turned the halls read. I still shiver at the memory of their screams as they died.

I have also made boss levels every five floors up until the fiftieth floor and now I’m waiting for the final fifty floors to be made so I can clear them as well then, I will own them as well.

“HAY! Eclipse you in here knock, knock.” I hear Sans call out.

“Up here Sans!” I called down to him.

“Oh, there you are I just heard from the other floor bosses that there is someone new in the dungeon and they are a lot stronger than those people that we’ve been hunting.” He said.

“They must have sent a request for assistance. If possible, try to avoid them but if they make it to the 45th floor then tell me and get your brother out of there. I don’t want him hurt.” I said jumping down next to Sans. “If they are strong enough then I want to meet them and see what kind of a person they are.” I said with a smile. “So how far down are they?” I asked him.

“Well its only been a few days since they’ve entered but they are already at the 35th floor last time I heard. They have been getting a skeleton of work done since they entered.” He joked.

My eyes widened, and I panicked. “Quickly Sans get Pap away from that room their moving too quickly this person is either as strong as me or just barley weaker than me.” I panicked, and Sans saw the panic and quickly teleported to his home on the 45th floor. “God, I hope you’re not too late Sans.” I mumbled to myself. After a few seconds I felt the barrier to the safe house in Sans’s secret floor close and let out a sigh. “Thank god you made it.” I sighed. I activated my set ring with the Reaper set stored in it and felt the set cover my body. “Time to wait for my new guests.” I whispered to myself as I slipped into the shadows in the room.

Talia’s POV

I finally made it to the village only to see it mostly empty. I called out and 16 people came out of their houses but there were no children in fact there was no one even remotely young in the town and they all looked terrible. Some had scars over their chest’s others were missing limbs, but I took note that they were all male no females.

“Excuse me is the Chief here?” I called out.

“I’m right here.” A deep voice behind me said.

I quickly turned around to see a person with a black bird and black hair he had a small scar over one eye and was heavily built. He had the best-looking equipment of most of the guys and had both a bow and ax on his back.

“So, you’re the chief I hear your having trouble in the dungeon.” I said crossing my arms.

“Yes about 4 years ago the Dungeon started to change and not for the better. Floors started expanding new monsters started appearing in the dungeon and I think several floors are being added very soon. Not to mention something seems to be hunting us whenever we enter the dungeon.” He said with a sad tone.

“Hunting you?” I asked.

“Yes, gorge over there herd something like a small child singing a very disturbing song and when he approached the singing just before he saw her the singing stopped and she had disappeared leaving a corps in her wake. Several of the villagers heard her singing but none were brave enough to go looking.” He said.

“Do you know the words of the song?” I asked him. ‘Please don’t be her and if it is her then let her have a good reason.’ I pleaded to any of the gods.

“No not my self but. Gorge get over here!” He called out to his friend.

Gorge an old white bearded man with a short sword and round shield can running over. “Yes chief?” He questioned.

“Do you remember the song you heard when that monster attacked?” The chief asked.

“Yes, I do, and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get it out of my mind with it paired with the body.” He shivered at the memory.

“Well this lady wants to know about it.” I said gesturing to me.

“Ok I’ll sing it but remember it was sung by a female child and I only caught par of the song.” He then took a big breath trying to settle himself. Then he started to sing.

“I’m creeping closer, can you hear me?

Go on mock me say I’m insane!

But it’s you that is caught in my game.

Cat and mouse a lovely circle.

Watch your tongue! Those words are hurtful.

Hush now wont you stay a while.

Join me with a painted Smile~.” He sang with as girly as a voice as someone could get with a deep one. “The body had a smile carved in its face his eyes were gone as well as his tongue and it looked like he was attacked then ran then finally he was cornered then killed.” The guy sadly finished with a tear slipping down his cheek.

“There’s more to the song but the others have heard bits and pieces of it and we don’t know what order they go in.” The chief said.

Then I started to sing the song I remember my girl friend loving called panted smile by Madame Macabre. “I can’t even remember how it started.

A nagging voice: Normal and departed from me.

Primal urges spirited my senses away.

Foggy glimpses of the boy I use to be.

Preyed upon by the lowest of society.

They’re Parasitic

Demanding your conformity.

Pushing limits: things are going to get real ugly

Ripping though the last shreds of my humanity.

I’m not but a shadow of what I was before

I’m hell bound and heading for you.

Surly you relied that there’s no way out of this alive close your eyes ‘cause it’s time for you to go to sleep.

Climbing through your window pain.

I’m creeping closer, can you hear me?

Go on mock me say I’m insane!

But it’s you that is caught in my game.

Cat and mouse a lovely circle.

Watch your tongue! Those words are hurtful.

Hush now won’t you stay a while.

Join me with a painted Smile~.” I finished and looked at their reactions of shock. “So, I’m guessing that was the song you heard?” I asked, and they all nodded. “Ok now that that is settled. What have you done!” I shouted in the chieftain’s face.

“I don’t know what you mean.” He flinched away from me.

“That song is about revenge on the people that wronged them the person its talking about is a killer that for all intense and purposes was insane because he was pushed to that point.” I screamed. “So, if she is singing this it means you have wronged her, and she wants revenge.” I growled.

“But we don’t even know who it is.” He panicked and backed up with his hands up in surrender.

“How many requests did you send out and how many have showed up and recognized the song?” I growled.

“4 showed up but 3 left saying that we were a waste of time. None said they recognized it.” He said in anger.

“Well I agree with them, but I have something to do in the dungeon so I’m going in. If you want to come along then you better be fast because I’m going to the fiftieth floor as fast as I can. Oh, and those three did recognize it and that’s why they left.” I said then sprinted into the dungeon entrance leaving them in the dust or, so I thought.

Eclipse’s POV

I was hiding in the shadows atop one of the pillars when the person came in. He was in a rogue out fit and was welding holy daggers meant to kill the undead. ‘So, he isn’t high level he’s just got the right equipment and probably has semi high-speed stats as well.’ I thought to myself. I decided to call out to him since the final boss technically hasn’t respawned yet.

“Well, well, well, what do we have here? A rogue that has gotten lost in my dungeon? Or are you perhaps looking for something?” I asked changing my voice to sound like a boy’s.

“Are you the one they call the Crypt hunter?” He snarled.

“I guess I did gain that title form the villagers on the surface.” I laughed out evilly and teleported to a new position. “But what does it have to do with you?” I asked him.

He quickly looked around knowing my voice has changed locations but the eco in the room prevented him from pinpointing my location. “I was hired by the village to hunt you down and kill you.” The guy replied coldly.

“Oh? Is that so? They want me dead so badly that they would send an intermediate class adventure into the dungeon of death?” I smiled. “Sadly, it’ll take more than what you have to defeat me.” I said board. “Now run along before you make me angry.” Using one of the shadows I created a hand in front of him and shooed him off.

“You belittle me!” He snarled and slashed the false hand to pieces. “I am the fasts rouge among the human race.” He screamed at me.

“But you aren’t a human are you Imp-san.” He froze. “I will admit it’s a good disguise, but it won’t change your sent or the fact that no human can reach that level without making a deal with some entity.” I laughed. “You’re not even considered a threat to humans just a nuisance that should be terminated.” I laughed when I used to observe and gods eyes to see who and what he really was.

“Never ever speak about my species like that!” He shouted letting his disguise slip showing his long-pointed ears that drooped a little a long scaly tail and black eyes. His teeth sharpened, and he shrunk to about half his height. “You know nothing of being a demon.” He cried out.

I moved out of the shadows just in front of him shifting from my female form to my male from. “Oh, I think I know more than you think I said as I opened my eyes to show him my glowing red eyes shining through the skull like mask.

“No, it’s not possible. No demon was sent to a small town specially to terrorize them.” He said backing up.

“Oh, but I wasn’t originally part of this town I was taken from my parents from another city about 6 months from here. It just so happens that I’m part demon.” I growled.

“Do you mean the town of the demon?” He asked shivering slightly.

“I don’t know the towns name only that they burned it to the ground after killing all the adults in the town.” I stalked closer. “But too bad you won’t be getting out of here with that info.” I hissed in his ear. As Scythe changed into her scythe form and plunged herself in his back. “Rest in peace.” I whispered cruelly and watched as his soul was absorbed by my lantern. I hear the sound of one of the doors open. ‘Did the door close?’ I asked myself. I leaned down and closed the imp’s eyes. “teca la rvevsoluta” (Return to once you came.) I whispered causing the body to disintegrate since demon bodies can’t be even partially revived. I hear a squeak behind me. I quickly closed my eyes and turned around using gods eyes to see through my eye lids. I see a person with an amazing set of holy armor. Her armor was stream line, but it hid her femininity well if it wasn’t for my demon dragon hybrid nose I would have never known she was a woman.

“Who are you?” I asked.

“I’m Talia Thorn an S class paladin adventurer I’m here looking for someone.” She replied regaining her composure.

“So, you’re not here for the bounty on my head?” I asked her.

“No, I’m not, But I’m confused isn’t the Hunter of the Crypt supposed to be a girl? Besides the person I’m after should be about 9 and female.” She replied.

“What?” I looked down at myself. “Oh right.” I mumbled. Then my red streaked black hair started growing down to my waste my body became slimmer and I shrunk down to my original 3-foot-tall body. “Sorry about that forgot I was shifted into a male for a sec.” I replied.

“Wait. Eclipse?! You’re a Doppel ganger!?” She shouted surprised.

I brought my hand up in a so, so, gesture. “Kinda? It’s hard to explain.” I replied kind of scared of being rejected by the person I liked.

“So why do you still look 5 and not 9?” She asked.

I groaned. “I should look 15 but I stopped aging at 5 when I started to stay in the dungeon.” I grumbled.

“So, you’re a 15-year-old Lolita girl. Ahahahahah.” She started rolling around on the ground laughing her ass off.

“Yah, yah, yah, laugh it up.” I grumbled to her. I sensed another presence just out side of the room and recognized it as a gods, but this was different. “Are you lost Forgotten?” I called out.

“So, you know what I am. And I was so sure I was hiding my presence.” Said a male voice. He walked around the corner and I recognized the chief.

“It’s been a long-time douche bag I still remember your conversation to Joe about making me into a baby factory.” I hissed.

“Oh, so you were awake during that time? And you even knew what we were talking about how interesting.” He said to himself.

“What? He said what?!” Talia said with venom dripping from her voice.

“Hahaha the funny part is that it would have never worked.” I laughed at him.

“What do you mean!?” He asked shocked and confused.

“I mean the only people that can make me get pregnant is someone who is my soul mate.” I replied then hugged Talia making her gasp. “Take into account Talia here she is mine and only mine and no one will take her from me. Not even a former god of death.” I hissed.

“So, you know not only what I am but who I am?” He asked surprised.

“Yes, I know who you are Chaos lightning Selcrum.” I growled.

“Well glad at least some one knows. But how do you know?” He asked.

“The eyes of the gods allow me to see everything whether it is hidden or forgotten. They also have the added bonus of showing your weakness and things that can tip the balance of the world. The only down fall is that everything they see are the monsters that are in need of elimination or saving and they are very hard to control.” I replied. “Now how was that injury from death coming along? I doubt it has healed in the slightest since a cut from the death scythe can never be healed.” I mocked.

“So, you know about me but what about yourself I don’t know you?” He asked trying to get me to tell him my full name.

“Oh, you already know me well I am Eclipse Shire.” I replied giving him my fake name making him smile.

“Eclipse Shire Prostrate yourself in front of me and hand me the reapers set.” He demanded using magic to try and control me through my name.

Then there was a shattering sound resonating through the air. “Woops it looks like it failed.” I giggled.

“But how I used your name!” He shouted.

“No, you used the false name I gave you it is true that that was my true first name, but my last name is different.” I replied and started walking forward.

“Stay back!” He cried releasing a bolt of electricity at me, but I just used void magic to teleport it behind him.

It struck his back but left no mark. “Good I didn’t want to have an inferior power where I’m not even immune to it” I said to myself. “Well I guess its time to end your life, so I can gain your ability’s. So, do me a favor and make this fun.” I said then charged forward bare handed.

I was within striking distance, but I saw his fist covered in black lighting coming at my face. So, I dodged the attack by a hairs with, but it still caught my hair and since my hair can’t burn, it simply traveled down it gives me a tremor down my back. I then hooked my arm around his then flipped him over my shoulder. Slamming him into the ground but he countered and sprung up using one hand and back flipping.

“Impressive moves but I’ve only just begun.” He said with a sadistic smile on his face. “Let me show you my true form.” He then started shedding his skin he grew to almost 20 feet tall and was densely packed with mussel his eyes lost all color and became white 4 drums appeared above his shoulders and head all facing me. His teeth sharpened slightly, and his skin turned gray. “Behold the mighty power of a god.” He shouted to the havens.

“The true form of a fallen god maybe. But true gods are magnificent and pure. Yours is greedy and corrupt.” I growled.

“How would you know?” He bellowed.

“When you train with a current god you tend to learn a few things including what their true form looks like.” I said.

“You trained with Death?” He asked surprised.

“Yah and a void dragon to learn how to control his power.” I replied.

“Then you are a threat and must be eliminated!” He raised his hand holding what looked like a black lightning bolt.

“Then I guess its time for me to get serious.” I said. My skin started to peel off and a grew to the same size as Selcrum. Cloak covered my body only leaving my skeletal hands and face visible. Deaths lantern and Grimwar were hanging from my side off chains. A rope was the only thing tying the cloak together. A scythe the size of my body appeared in my hands the faces that looked like they were carved into the blade seemed to be screaming and slowly moving in their agony.

“You truly are the apprentice of death, but you left some one wide open.” He gave me an evil smile and launched his lightning at Talia.

Talia froze at the speed of the lightning bolt but before anything else could happen my scythe intercepted the bolt slicing it in two. The bolt struck to either side of her head which snapped her back to reality.

A screech left my mouth. “You will never touch her with your cursed magic.” I howled.

I quickly attacked getting behind him and punched him with my newly enhanced strength. Sending him to kiss the ground. I then buried the scythe into the ground and trapped him under the scythe handle. I started to shift back new skin grew and my eyes grew back but thankfully they were still closed. The scythe then turned into a more purple transparent purple and a little fiery, but it still trapped him. I walked over to Talia.

“You ok Tal?” I asked her.

“Yah just a little surprised.” She replied with a slight shiver.

“Ok but can you please close your eyes I don’t want you seeing this next part.” I pleaded.

“Ok but only if you give me some explanations.” She demanded then closed and covered her eyes.

“Now I have some questions for you before you die.” I said to him.

“Go ahead do your worst you won’t get anything from me.” He spat.

I grabbed his chin and brought his eyes up to see my now open ones. “Oh, I know so I’ll just take the info directly from the source.” I whispered and snapped his neck and felt his life drain out of him as I absorbed him.

I shrugged and closed the alert windows along with the quest window. ‘Something for another time.’ I thought to myself. Then I turned to see Talia still hiding her eyes.

“You can open your eyes now he’s dead and gone.” I replied board,

“Ok” She happily said then opened her eyes seeing that there was no body. “Where did his body go?” She asked.

“I made it disappear like that demon.” I lied.

“Ok. Hay can I check your status?” She asked.

“Shure why not but I will warn you some skills I have no control over getting.” I replied.

“Yay.” She shouted. Then had a look of concentration. She blinked then tried again.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

I instantly blacked out.

Talia’s POV

I watched as Eclipse collapsed but I quickly caught her before she hit her head. “What the hell happened system?” I asked my system.

Due to the number of updates that she has missed the system had no choice but to put her in a deep sleep for 72 earth hours which is equivalent to 24 Orphis hours.

“So, your saying that she will be asleep for a long time.” I grumbled at the system. Then I felt a presence behind me. I quickly turned and saw someone that I thought I would never see. “Sans!?” I asked surprised.

“Do I know you?” He asked.

“No but I know you.” I replied.

“How?” He asked.

“Where I come from you are an awesome character in a game called Undertale. You are amazingly powerful despite your stats and love telling jokes and skeleton puns.” I replied excited about meeting him.

“Oh, then you must be from a similar world to Eclipse. Speaking of which, she looks bone tired.” He joked.

“SANS!” I hear a voice scolding him making me giggle.

“So, what are you going to do now?” He asked me.

“Well first things firs I can never forgive the village for what it has done. So, I’m destroying it and saving any children I find.” I growled losing all pleasant tones.

I could see Sans shivered at my new aura and tone. “You scared me out of my skin.” He joked but I could tell he was mostly serious.

I picked Eclipse up in a princes carry where her head rolled into my chest and her hand unconsciously grabbed my shirt. I blushed at her cute face.

“Aw now that warms my heart.” He said.

“She’s just so cute! I know she’s 15 but when she sleeps she seems 5 years old.” I whispered to sans.

I got up and started walking. “Wait!” Sans called out.

“Yah?” I asked.

“Common I know a shortcut.” He said with a smile.

“Of course, you do.” I laughed.

Then we walked around one of the pillars and we were suddenly on the first floor near the entrance.

“Thanks Sans I really didn’t want to run back up all those floors.” I said shyly.

“No prob. Now give them hell.” He said like it was pun then disappeared.

“Now let’s hunt.” I growled.

3rd POV

Meanwhile in the village.

The people were all checking their shoulders for the symbol of their clan, but it has seemed to dissipate. But a loud roar broke them out of their confusion they all looked up to see something flying overhead.
