Chapter 18 Going Home

It’s been a few days and they haven’t come back I didn’t bother to search for them, but I did keep track of their energy signatures. They lost Freed a couple of hours after they ran off and some how he’s been making his signature, so I can’t find him either. They’ve been searching the town but so far haven’t seen him. I was hard at work on another homework assignment when I felt Jason along with several of Reis’s Peerage come in contact with Irena and Xenovia.

“Now how do I spell this?” I mumbled to myself.

‘Sorry don’t know this kanji.’ Stated Nobunaga.

‘Same here.’ Toyohisa said.

‘Are you sure this is even Kanji it looks more like three lines.’ Stated Natsu Suhitoya.

“That’s because it’s a K and I’m writing in English.” I grumbled.

‘Oh sorry.’ They said.

“Ok now I can… Dam they came in contact with each other.” I growled sensing the two priestesses and Jason’s group bump into one another. I waited for a minuet but instead of fighting they started walking together. “Oh, good they’re not trying to kill each other.”

Energy sensing has leveled up to Lvl 50 range has increased to 12 miles=36 earth miles.

“Thank you but I don’t need to go that far.” I mumbled.

I packed up my home work and placed it in my inventory. I then thought of something I could do besides sit around my house and wait for the time to pass.

“Open Void Shop.” I stated aloud

The system replied. I slammed my head into the table. “Just great the only guy I can ask to enter the Void Shop is busy with his worlds problems.” I growled.

I then started working on my Energy suppressing technique. I created it when I found out how much energy I was releasing naturally it was so large it enveloped my house. I was quite surprised no one noticed yet especially with its combined dark and light nature.

“Dam it Loki is really screwing my life up.” I whined as I looked at my energy signature again.

‘Hay don’t look at it like a curse look at it like it’s something that links you to others.’ Stated Florence.

“Yah like having clashing natures is normal for a person.” I grumbled.

Energy Suppression has leveled up to level 10 can now prevent detection up to 20 meters.

“Yaye.” I said sarcastically while spinning my finger around in the air.

‘At least your making progress on it.’ Stated Geronimo.

“Thanks for the pep talk Geronimo but it had no impact.” I whined.

‘I tried do any of you white men have any thoughts?’ Geronimo asked.

‘Nope’

‘Got nothing.’

‘Sorry.’

They said shaking their heads.

“Its ok guys I’m just board. All this waiting around is grating on my nerves knowing years are going by in my world while I’m stuck here away from the ones I love.” I sighed.

‘Its ok I’m sure everything will work itself out sweetie.’ Jone of Arc said in a mothering tone.

“Thanks, but I will rest easily when I get back to them.” I moaned.

‘Remember little one you are never alone so long as you have us.’ Stated Vlad.

“Got to admit Vlad never pegged you as the sentimentalist.” I laughed.

‘Hay I had a wife and kids.’ He defended. But everyone laughed. ‘I wish I could stake you all.’ Vlad grumbled.

“Thanks guys you make this time just bearable.” I said as I got up and walked out the door.

‘Where are you going?’ Asked Arthur.

“To town its time I stop sitting in my house and stock up with ingredients and food for my trip back.” I said.

‘And maybe bump into some familure strangers along the way?’ Asked The red Baron suggestively.

“Maybe but not in the way your thinking.” I laughed.

I walked into town and sensed that they stopped for a while. I walked into a grocery store near their location and started shopping. After an hour I finished, and they hadn’t moved. I checked out and stored everything in my inventory.

I walked out just as they exited the restaurant. Jason was the first to notice me.

“Hay Eclipse over here.” He shouted drawing everyone’s attention.

I sighed at his thick head. “Hay Jason.” I replied as they ran over.

“Where have you been you haven’t been to the club since the time Xenovia and Irena came to see Reis.” He asked.

“I’m getting ready to go home.” I replied as I went back to the house.

“Wait your leaving?” Aske Issei.

“Yes. My void energy has almost completely restored itself so its almost time to go home.” I said.

“Where are you going home to?” Asked Irena.

“Ask them they know.” I said pointing at Reis’s peerage then I noticed another guy looking at me. “Who the hell are you jackass?” I asked.

“The names Saji and can I say you look cute?” He said still looking at me.

“Well Saji.” I said walking up to him. “Quit looking at me perv!” I yelled as I slammed his face into the ground.

“Is your stomach is fully healed?” Irena asked.

“Yah I finally recovered.” I said with a smile.

“Did it leave a scar?” Isai asked.

“No, it didn’t.” I replied.

“Really? Let me se- oof.” Isai started but I punched him in the gut dropping him to the ground.

“Never Perv.” I growled. I then turned to Jason. “Anything you want to add?” I asked still ticked off.

“Nope just do you want to help us search for Freed?” He asked in a panic.

“Sure, I still ow him a sword through the gut.” I said.

“Oh, I see.” Jason said.

“Glad to have you along Eclipse with your completed Excalibur were sure to win.” Irena said cheerfully.

I then felt a hole being burned into my back I turned around to see Kiba glaring at me. “And what’s your problem?” I growled.

“You have an Excalibur piece?” He asked.

“No, I have an Excalibur not the one you know.” I stated as I pulled out Excalibur in its dagger form.

He still glared at me but turned around and walked away the rest followed him Issai and Saji were rubbing various parts of their bodies trying to relieve the pain. I snickered at their pain and followed. We searched for an hour and forty-five minutes with no luck.

“Come on we’ve been searching forever.” Whined Issei

“No, we haven’t it’s only been thirty minutes.” I replied.

“Eclipse you forgot about the time difference again.” Jason said.

“Oh, right forgot to add the extra 90 minutes.” I said.

Everyone laughed except Xenovia and Irena who were confused.

“What so funny?” Asked Irena.

“Oh, right you don’t know. Eclipse is from a different dimension her world is called Ophis.” Jason said like it explained everything. I then elbowed him.

“That’s not enough.” I told him. “Any ways Ophis is about 3 times larger than earth and people on the planet evolved to have longer lifespan and since we are used to the time, we see time 3 times slower than you guys.” I told them.

“Wait so how old are you?” Saji asked.

“In my world your yours?” I asked.

“Ours.” Stated Xenovia.

“I’m approximately 45.” I said.

Everyone including Saji slipped on air and planed their face into the ground. Saji was the first to recover.

“WHAT!” He shouted.

“Ok ow.” I said sticking my pinkies into my ears.

“Sorry Eclipse but can I ask you something?” Jason asked.

“Sure.” I said.

“You told us you were 30.” He said.

“Yah sorry about that but for some reason my mind was stuck on thirty during that time, so I accidently said it.” I apologized.

“Oh, I see.” Issei grumbled.

“You look very young for a 45-year-old.” Stated Xenovia.

“What can I say. I was cursed to look five forever.” I said shrugging.

“Aw so you are just 15 in body.” Irena said.

“I see you calculated that and yes in your years I’m 15 in body but 5 in my years.” I said.

“Well I’m glad you explained that!” Shouted a voice I never want to hear.

“Hi, Freed I owe you for that sneak attack you did.” I hissed as Scythe appeared next to my head.

“Heheh is it time to fight?” Scythe laughed.

“No, it won’t be a fight.” She turned into her scythe form and I caught her and twirled her around until her blade was behind my back. “It’ll be a massacre.” I chuckled.

I launched myself at Freed he held up his Excalibur peace sword in hopes of blocking the blade, but another sword stopped my scythe. There was a man he was heavily built he had a sparkling set of armor, but his energy seemed corrupted. I then looked at his blade it was a British Claymore its paumle had a cross and the blade radiated power.

“Well this is new?” I said as I backed up.

“Welcome gamer to your end.” He said quietly so no one else could hear.

“Oh, I see so you’re the player hunter I’ve heard about.” I said dodging one of his swings.

I swung my scythe, but he blocked it again and pulled out a throwing dagger and threw it at me. I moved my head dodging the dagger but that caused me to lose pressure on Scythe allowing him to slip into my guard. I let go of Scythe and changed my hands into their claw form blocking the blade. But something felt wrong his blade seemed to slice into the claws, so I quickly moved and watched as part of the claws got shaved off. I shook my hand to relieve it of some of the pain. He came at me again and I caught sight of Kiba fighting Freed as I ducked under his swing, but he wasn’t going for me he grabbed scythe and swung her at me I had no time to dodge. Scythe made contact but dispersed leaving me unharmed.

“Yah that isn’t happening.” Scythe said next to me again.

“Glad to see the contract is working.” I said.

“Together?” She asked.

“Together.” I relied.

She then turned back into a scythe, but this times two giant skeletal hands gripped her they hovered above my shoulders. I pulled Excalibur and Rubilacxe out turning Excalibur into a one-handed long sword and Rubilacxe into a Wakizashi. He looked at Excalibur then at his sword, so I used gods yes to apprise it.

Excalibur: The sword wielded by King Arthur its blade is said to be able to cut through atoms and cause huge explosions decimating army’s.

Skills:

Explosive wave: Sends a wave so fast that it can fell an entire army.

Atomic sharpness: Makes it infinitely sharp only the best blades can withstand its slicing power.

Speed Boost: Increases the user’s speed when holding it with two hands.

“I see so that’s why it sliced through my claws.” I commented. “But I think there are too many Excalibur’s here already.” I said. “Let’s fix that shall we?” I charged at him swinging my Excalibur. The moment they made contact we were blown back away from each other. I landed in a wall while he plowed the ground out for twenty meters. “Ouch that’s smarts.” I hissed as I pulled myself from the wall. I looked up to see Freed retreating and they player hunter following him, but he turned back and pulled his thumb across his neck. “You better hope that doesn’t happen.” I growled and jumped to the ground then I heard a groan behind me I looked back to see no one there. “Hello?” I called out.

“Eclipse Help.” I hear Scythe groan I reached behind me and felt her in the center of my back. I pulled her off.

“How did you get back there?” I asked.

“Blast knocked me back and you landed on me.” She groaned.

“Sorry Scythe I didn’t know it would do that.” I told her. “Rest now and get better I have a feeling this isn’t over yet.” I told her.

“Ok.” She said then disappeared.

I looked around but didn’t see Irena Xenovia or Kiba, so I walked up to Jason who was helping Issei and Saji.

“Hay Jason where’s the others?” I asked.

“Running after those two.” He said.

“Are they nuts!” I shouted.

“Pretty much.” Replied Jason.

“Ugh I’m done.” I sighed as a red and blue light signaled the arrival of Reis and Sona. “And hear comes another head ach.” I grumbled.

Reis glared at me then looked at her peerage. “Will one of you explain to me what you are doing?” Asked Reis.

“I would like to ask the same to you Saji.” Sona stated.

They explained what happened in hopes that they wouldn’t get in trouble, but they weren’t getting off easy. Sona started spankings Saji with magic Issei, Jason and Koneko thought they had gotten off but then Reis pulled out her magic.

“Bend over its time for your 100 spankings.” She said.

I started laughing as I watched them get their spankings. “Forget headaches this is funny.” I said laying back.

“Eclipse how long has it been since you slept?” Reis asked.

“I don’t know maybe a few weeks.” I said.

‘WHAT!” Everyone but Jason shouted.

“Is no big deal it’s not like I’ve been up for three weeks.” I sated.

“Oh, you were talking about our weeks.” They sighed.

“Yah I was awake of five days in my world.” I lied.

“Yikes you need to sleep come to the club room, so we can make sure you sleep.” Reis demanded.

“But.” I started but when I looked at Reis her face told me she wasn’t having any of it. “Ok.” I sighed.

I teleported to the club room and sat on the couch. Reis and the rest of arrived except for Kiba. I laid down and closed my eyes and let sleep take me.

Reis’s POV

We entered the club room and watched as Eclipse fell asleep. “Ok guys be quiet we don’t want to wake her.” I said. I walked over to her and covered her with a blanket. Jason opened on of his ID and walked in leaving us alone with her.

I stroked her head as the others went about their own things. The rest of the night passed without any sign of Kiba. I was getting worried, but I didn’t show it. Eventually we all headed to class I got to class just as the bell rang, I was glad Eclipse would sleep for 27 hours because today was especially boring and she was going to go home soon. It was sad we had gotten use to her being here and her strength would have been nice to have around but if even some of her stories are real then her world needed her more.

‘Reis we found Irena and she’s hurt.’ I heard Akino say through our telepathic link.

“Teacher my I be excused?” I asked.

“Yes, miss Gremmory you may go.” She said.

I got up and walked out the door I went to the bathroom and teleported to Akino. I saw Akino with Koneko tending to a downed Irena. She was covered in cuts and bruises I then noticed her sword was gone.

“What happened here? Where is Xenovia and Kiba? Where is her Excalibur mimic?” I asked.

“We don’t know we found her like this.” Akino said.

“I can help there.” A voice said.

We quickly summoned our magic and turned around to see Freed standing with his back against a tree.

“Freed.” Koneko growled.

“Hello kitty cat.” He said.

“I want to” Koneko started but I stopped her.

“What are you doing here Freed?” I growled.

“That can better be answered by my boss.” Freed said pointing up.

We looked up to see ten-winged fallen angle. “Kokabiel.” I growled.

“Hello sister of Lucifer.” Kokabiel said. “I wonder if I kill you will Lucifer come, or will he try and keep the peace?”

“Are you trying to start a war!” Akino shouted.

“Yes, exactly young one. We were so close to winning the last one if only that coward Azazel didn’t pull out. I hoped that the angles would attack if I stole their precious holy swords. But all we got were a couple of lousy priests and two sword wielders.” Kokabiel said.

“Yah I got to test out all my new shiny toys.” Freed said showing off four Excalibur pieces inside his cloak. “I even gained a new one from her.” Freed said gesturing to Irena.

“Eclipse will kill you.” Akino warned.

“No, she will die by our associate’s hands.” Freed laughed.

“In fact, I think we’ll start with your school call your brother up little Gremmory or the town will be next.” Kokabiel said flying to the school. Freed had also left at some point.

“Akino we need to get back before they attack the school.” I said. “Koneko take Irena and get her to a safe place then meat up with us at the school.” I ordered.

“Understood.” Koneko said then picked up Irena and ran.

Eclipse’s POV

“Come on Jacob I think the town is through this tunnel.” Talia said pointing at a cave.

“Are you sure?” Jacob asked.

“Yes, I’m sure.” She said as she entered the cave, I tried to slap my forehead but realized I had no arms.

‘So, this is a dream.’ I thought to myself.

I then felt immense pain come from my chest I woke up and opened my eyes to another pain in my stomach I quickly struck out hitting something metal sending it flying. I grasped at the pain finding a sword through my chest and gut. I coughed as blood trickled down my chin.

“Dam it fucker.” I cursed the guy out because I recognized the sword in my chest. I looked up to see him getting up shrugging off the blow. “Hay bastard can I keep this, or do you want this back?” I asked pointing at the sword.

“I want it back.” The man hissed.

“Too bad.” I pulled out my Excalibur and touched it to his Excalibur letting it absorb it. His Excalibur disappeared, and I saw my sword get sharper.

“You bitch.” He jumped at me, but I rolled back forgetting about the sword in my gut cutting myself more.

“Fuck that hurts.” I shouted as I kicked him through the wall. I griped the sword and ground my teeth as I ripped it out of my gut. I gripped the wound trying to stop the bleeding ass I dug into my inventory and pulled out another regrowth potion and chugged it sealing the wound. “Dam still tastes like crap.” I complained. I noticed it was dark and there was some sort of barrier up. “Ah what’s going on?” I asked. Then I saw Reis and Jason fighting 3 Cerberuses. I jumped down and ran up to them. “Hay guys what’s with the dogs?” I asked. When the Cerberuses spotted me, they started backing up.

Jason turned to me with a questioning look. “What the hell was that supposed to be a joke and how are you scaring them.” He asked pointing to the Cerberuses.

“Don’t know how I’m scaring them and yes that was supposed to be a joke.” I said.

“Terrible joke. And if you’re still wondering it’s his fault.” Jason said pointing up.

I looked up to see a man clearly insane he had 10 black feathery wings keeping aloft. “Ok your clearly insane. Then what’s his problem.” I said pointing over my shoulder at the guy I had kicked out of the club room.

“Apparently he’s one of their associates.” Reis replied

“I see. Then what about.” I then saw Freed. ‘FREED!” I shouted and charged at freed.

“Who was tha-? Oh god!” He shouted and turned to the chubby man. “Hurry up cardinal.” He urged.

My hands turned into clays and I jumped at him but was intercepted by the other gamer and he kicked me away. “Don’t interfere.” The man said.

“I’ll kill who I want.” I said getting up.

“No, you will no longer interfere with the world that has its set destiny.” He said.

“The shit your spouting makes no sense.” I spat.

“Gamers are a blight to their world and must be purged so says god.” The man preached.

“Witch one knuckle head? Is it the dark god you have a contract with? Forgotten?” I asked with a smirk.

His aura became more chaotic telling me I had struck a nerve. “How do you know that name?” He charged at me. “How dare you speak of the true gods in that accursed tong.” He slashed at me with another sword.

“Wow looks like I hit a nerve there.” I said dodging his strike.

“You cannot begin to know the pain they suffered.” He yelled as he swung at me.

“News flash they were the ones causing people to suffer.” I hissed.

“No, you are wrong they are benevolent and divine unlike the beasts that have taken their thrones from them.” He shouted.

“Even now they are giving people curses and steeling their souls. Does that sound like a benevolent god!” I shouted as I struck at him gaining a cut on my side. “Are you lessoning to what I am saying, or do they have you so brain washed everything I say goes in one ear and out the other.”

“Lies that’s all your spouting.” He criticized.

“your hopeless.” I said. “Sorry guys but it looks like I’m going to go a little nut no one approach me!” I shouted.

“What are you going to do you cannot beat me the god’s apostle.” He boosted.

“Simple I’m going to die.” I said then dug my claw into my head crushing my last hart.

“What!?” I heard him say.

“ECLIPSE!” Gremorie’s Peerage shouted I even heard Xenovia shout.

I felt my consciousness slip and I fell into a slumber. ‘Sorry guys.’ Was my last conscious thought.

Jason’s POV

I watched as Eclipse fell to the ground her heath hit zero and all of us cried.

“Your friend has fallen now who will be next.” Laughed Kokabiel. Then he stopped and looked at Eclipse. “No how did she?” He asked we then all looked at Eclipse.

Black smoke was pouring from every pore. Her body started levitating as the black smoke was forming legs and arms soon a figure, we were all familure with was formed.

“Oh god what the hell is she.” Xenovia asked.

“I don’t know but we should get out of here.” Shouted Reis.

“Not before we kill Freed and the cardinal.” Xenovia stated.

“Trust me they may as well be dead.” Kiba stated behind her.

“What do you mean?” Xenovia asked.

“That thing is unstoppable.” I said. “We nearly died trying to stop it. In the end three people came and saved us.”

“Then it is possible to stop it.” Stated the man in armor. “That’s all I need to kno-oof.” He grunted as he was thrown far from where he was previously standing.

“Foolish mortal see how a god does it.” Kokabiel stated.

Kokabiel flew over to her and summoned a giant spear and threw it at her. She didn’t even look and caught it. The fire on her arm then wrapped around it and consumed the spear leaving a frozen version of the spear.

“No, the flams of the dead!? How can she weald them?” Kokabiel asked in surprise.

Eclipse then turned to him and smacked him with the frozen attack causing it to shatter and he hit the ground causing a creator. She then reached down and plucked him off the ground she started plucking his wings one by one. His screams echoed thought the barrier soon he had no wings, so she tossed him aside when Freed charged her, she didn’t even look at him and stomped him into the ground heading in the direction she sent the armored man. She almost crushed the Cardinal, but he jumped out of the way. She made it to where she hit him and picked him up.

“You bitch.” The man said. “Do you think that this will stop them I am one of many apostles killing me will do no-AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.” He screamed as she slowly crushed him his blood started dripping from gaps in his armor and her hands until his head popped off. Her body then went slack and fell back making an indent into the ground.

Her body started fading away, so I quickly looked at her status hoping that I could catch a glimpse, but everything looked corrupted the only thing I could make out was the monster class which said WD. I felt a shiver run up my spine when I saw it.

“Dear god ‘ouch’ we were lucky we survived.” I whispered.

Soon she was just Eclipse I checked her status but again I only saw her health with was up to full. She then sat up with a groan.

“Dam it that was painful.” She groaned.

We all ran to her ignoring the Cardinal except for Kiba who grabbed the Cardinal and started dragging him to Eclipse.

“Eclipse!” Reis shouted and wrapped her in a hug.

“I’m ok really” She said patting Reis’s head.

“But we watched you die.” Stated Xenovia.

“Yah I’m not going to explain that. In fact, I don’t know where to start.” She said scratching her head.

“How did you know that it would work?” asked Koneko.

“I knew about the second form and was told by scythe on how to activate it. Sadly, I still have no control over it.” She stated.

“I see.” Reis said. “So, it’s a last resort type move.” Stated Reis.

“Yes, but not really it’s more of a berserk like state.” She explained.

“I get it so the first time we saw you, you were already in that berserk like state, so you couldn’t remember us.” Reis said.

“I guess I’m sorry for that but if you want to blame someone blame Loki. He was the one that forced me into your world by destabilizing my void ability.” She said

“It’s ok and I hear your going home soon so thank you for all your help.” Reis thanked.

“Your welcome and sorry for any problem this may cause in the future.” She said.

“None of that.” Reis said. Then a portal opened behind Eclipse.

She turned around. “Well I guess this is where I take my leave.”

“By Eclipse.” Reis said as Eclipse stepped through the portal and it closed behind her.

The barrier then broke showing a man in a white dragon like sacred gear.

Chapter 19 How?!

Eclipse’s POV

I was walking through the inky black smoke of the void my only guide is a pinprick of light in front of me, I was hoping dimensional travel would be like teleporting but nope I have to walk to my destination.

“Come on Eclipse its not that bad at least the gods are guiding you to Talia and not some random location.” She said.

“That’s the thing. Knowing Talia, we will be in a random location.” I said.

“She’s not that bad.” Said Scythe.

I finally made it to the light and stepped through. When I stepped through, we were in the middle of a dungeon surrounded by 10 giant snakes.

“I rest my case.” I grumbled.

“Wow she really got lost.” Scythe said shifting to her weapon form.

“Your telling me.” I gripped her handle and decapitated the first one before it noticed me.

I then shifted my hand into my claw pulled out one of my bone knifes and threw it into another’s eyes. Both fell down before the others could react. I was confused on how I killed the second one until I pulled out another knife. It was covered in Void energy, so it threw another on into the body of another snake as I attacked. The knife sassed through the snake like air leaving a hole through it body.

“Wow me knifes got an upgrade.” I commented as I dodged the falling serpent.

‘You can thank me later I finally found a way to combine the bone with void energy.’ I hear a voice say.

“Well, well, well look who finally woke up after his long nap.” I teased.

“You didn’t need my help, so I decided to take a nap.” Dracova said.

“Ok well if you’re not busy can you maybe tell me what I’m fighting?” I asked him.

‘Let’s see. Ah your fighting basilisks.’ He said. “Be careful of their venom even poison dragons have a hard time neutralizing the venom.” He warned.

“Oh goody.” I replied sarcastically.

The other two basilisks charged at me the first one went high while the second went low. I jumped on top of the first effectively dodging both. I quickly ran down its back and turned around to see them pull themselves off of each other. The both turned to me I quickly looked away from their eyes to avoid their death glair.

“God, I hate fighting things I can’t look at.” I mumbled as I jumped to the side to doge their poison spit.

I then charged and saw a flash of something moving so I rolled left just as a tail slammed down where I was. I quickly made a light spear and stabbed it into the tail pinning it down. The basilisk hissed in pain I then was under it and kicked strait up snapping its head back I see the other one lunge at me as I was off balance, so I used my hand and pushed myself off the ground dodging the strike. I summoned another spear and threw it into the head of the basilisk killing it. The other one recovered from the kick I then summoned two knives and spun around slicing its neck before it brought its head back. I landed on one hand unsummoning my light weapons and sprung away just as the final basilisk fell to the ground squirming while it blead to death. I then brushed myself off.

“Well that takes care of that.” I said the felt a burning sensation in my left arm. “Dam it.” I said as I looked at the now dirty uniform. I then saw a hole burnt through the left arm and my skin had blackened veins. “Shit.” I hissed.

‘You did it now didn’t you. I warned you now you will be weak for a full week.’ Dracova said.

“Yah well its better then dying again. Never want to do that again.” I mumbled.

‘Good point I just glad you killed me quickly.’ He said with laugh.

“Yah to bad I hesitated just before I killed myself. It caused me to miss the instant kill I was looking for.” I grumbled.

“How could you get us this lost!?” I hear a male voice behind me shout.

“I don’t know I generally have good instincts.” A familure female voice shouted back.

I walked to the voices seeing Talia and Jacob with their backs to me arguing. I walked up behind them using sneak and then jumped up and slammed my fists into their heads.

“Ow” They both said rubbing their heads.

“Do you two want to attract every monster in a 10-meter radius?” I hissed.

“Eclipse!” Shouted Talia as she tackled me.

“Its good to see you too how long I was gone?” I asked hoping the gods slowed the time or linked the time lines.

“One month. To be honest if it wasn’t for the armor set you gave me, we would have been worried sick. Thank Death that he was able to contact me through the set.” He said.

“Well I’m glad you found out about the set and I’m also glad he told you instead of leaving you to wonder where I went.” I sighed.

“Here you can have it back.” He said holding out the ring.

“You misunderstood my intentions. I was tacked by death to find some one suited to rule in his place and so I have.” I said pushing the ring back and curing his hand around it.

“How am I suited to take over a god?” He asked with shock.

“It’s your curse that has made it possible. Have you ever wondered why your ability is so different from your family?” I asked.

“Yah while they could control the blood, they drink I could control the very soul of the person.” He stated.

“Yes, exactly you are the hero of life as well as the holder of one of deaths curses.” I said.

“I see so I’m meant to help defeat the demon lord.” He whispered to himself.

“I see you have your memory back can you tell us who you were?” I asked him.

“I was a hacker as well as a great researcher my main job was to be a black hat and keep people out of important systems in the USA. But I had a second job on the side helping the Curse Collector fide new targets.” He stated sadly.

Talia then gasped. “You were in love with her!” She squealed.

“Yes, I was indeed in love with her.” He said.

“Well you’re in luck because you just confessed to her.” Talia said happily.

“What you’re the Curse Collector!?” He shouted.

“Ahahahahah no that would be Eclipse.” Talia said whipping tears of mirth from her cheek. “I was the cop that chased her and almost caught her twice.”

He then looked at me with surprise. I smiled. “Guilty as charged.” I said. “By the way thanks for-“ I stopped as I heard a ding.

“Ok? Sorry about that interruption but anyway as I was saying thanks for helping me back then I couldn’t do it without you.” I thank. I noticed His confused face and was about to explain but Talia said something I wasn’t expecting.

“Did you sub gamer system tell you something?” She asked.

“What?” She then subtly elbowed and gave me a look telling me to lie and she will explain later.

“Yah.” I said.

“I see so you’re the actual gamer?” He asked Talia.

“Yes I am.” She said.

“I’ll believe it you do look older.” He said.

“Uh we are about the same age.” Talia said.

“What!” He said in surprise.

“I was cursed to be eternally five.” I told him the cover story that Talia made up unknowingly.

“I see that would also explain your eyes and hair.” He said.

“By the way I hate to be blunt but how did you die?” She asked

“Well funny story Truck-san really wanted me.” He chuckled.

“What do you mean?” Talia asked.

“I was working on stopping a hacker from getting into the system when a truck ran trough my wall killing.” He said as he and I fell over laughing.

“What’s so funny?” Talia asked.

“He works on the third floor of the office building.” I choked out in-between laughs.

Talia now privy to the joke fell over laughing herself. We rolled on the ground laughing for hours until we were able to regain control of ourselves.

“Man, that was too funny.” Talia said whipping another tear.

“I know right that was actually the first memory I regained from my old life. You have no idea how hard it was to keep my laughter down.” He told us.

“Ok now that, that is out of our system we need to finish this dungeon, so I can get an idea of where we are.” I told them. “But first I need to ask a question.”

“What is it?” They both asked.

“Did Talia cook at all during your trip?” I asked.

“No, she was in charge of direction which was obviously a bad idea.” He mumbled.

“Good because she can’t cook either.” I laughed.

“What!?” Jakobe looked at Talia who was shuffling her feet back and forth trying not to look at him. “You can’t cook, and you have no sense of directions?! What can you do?” He asked.

“She is probably the best paladin you will know and can whip raw recuts into super solders.” I answered.

“Oh, great so she could have trained me?” He whined.

“Trust me you probably dodged a bullet on that one.” I said.

“Hay how did you know?” She asked.

“Simple I stopped by the training ground a few times.” I laughed. “Most of your recuts dropped out within the first day.” I joked.

“Ouch I’m glad I didn’t hear about her ability to train people.” He said thankful.

“Hay don’t be mean.” Talia pouted.

‘Were just messing with you.” We both laughed.

“I would be happy if you helped me out in my training unlike my human body my vampire body has almost unlimited stamina.” He replied.

“Oh, goody I can train you!” She said happily.

“Yah but first we need to figure out where we are. I’m sorry to say in order to do that we have to figure out what dungeon we are in. And to do that we need to beat it.” I told them.

“Oh well we can consider this your training!” She said not giving up.

“So, does anyone know which way to go?’ I asked.

“This way!” Talia said going the opposite way I came from.

“Its this way then.” I said turning around and going to the room I portaled in at.

We walked in to see the dead basilisks. “Wow who did this?” Asked Jacob.

“I did.” I replied. “But I don’t know why they didn’t disappear?” I wondered.

“They must be your loot.” Replied Talia. “By the way Eclipse why are you waring school clothes?” She asked as I placed the basilisks in my inventory.

“That’s just what I was wearing when I got back. I didn’t really have time to change.” I told them.

“Wait I recognize that uniform you were in Highschool DXD!” She shouted excitedly.

“I’m sorry what?” I asked confused.

“I know that show so how was dealing with Issei?” Jacob asked.

“I beat him up every week sometimes twice a week. I swear that guy just didn’t learn. Hold on don’t move.” I threw a knife next to Jacob’s head in paling a snake beside him.

Jacob looked behind him to see the snake to into a skeleton leaving a bottle of venom. “Thanks Eclipse.” He said picking up the vile.

“Your welcome now let’s get moving I don’t want to stay here any longer.” I said.

“Wait Eclipse look at this!” Talia shouted.

We walked over to see what she found and when we got next to her, we saw an ax with a snake handle and runes on the blade in bedded into the wall.

“Cool ax why didn’t you try removing it?” Asked Jacob.

“Tried but it wouldn’t budge.” She said. “Why don’t one of you try it?”

“Ok but I prefer being an Assassin than an ax welder.” Jacob walked up to the ax and gave the handle a pull, but it didn’t budge. “Yah that thing isn’t coming out.” He said.

“your turn Eclipse!” Talia said pushing me.

“But I don’t want it I already have all the weapons I need.” I whined.

“Just do it. You can never have to many weapons.” She said with a smile.

“I don’t need it!” I shouted as she gave me one last push sending me off balance. I grabbed the closest thing out of habit which happened to be the ax’s handle. The Ax came out and I fell to the ground with a resounding oomph. “Why did you have to push me.” I cried.

“What you were being stubborn besides it looks like it now belongs to you.” She said pointing at me hand.

I looked down and saw the snake on the ax curl around my hand then then sunk its fangs into my hand and the ax disappeared. I grab the spot where it bit me but there were no wounds in fact all that was left was a rune that said Mudguard on my forearm. I then looked up and glared at Talia as she pretended nothing happened.

“You can kill her later Eclipse but right now we need to get moving.” Said Jacob trying to calm me down.

“Fine but this isn’t over.” I growled knowing I couldn’t kill her even if I wanted to.

“Hay I’m hungry” Talia proclaimed.

“Fine we’ll stop for lunch.” I sighed. “But I’m cooking.”

“I remember the lunch you bribed me with on our first meeting it was delicious. I would be happy to have you cook.” Jacob said with a smile.

“Is it really that good?” Talia asked.

“Its almost first class it was so good.” He told her.

“I know someone like that, but she was my girlfriend.” Talia told him.

“So, you were a lesbian?!” He asked surprised.

“I call her my girlfriend, but we weren’t dating at all.” She said sadly.

Jacob gave me a side glance as I prepared to cook. “Wow you brought everything except for the bathroom sink.” He laughed.

I then pulled out a bathroom sink. “You were saying.” I laughed.

“You bought that just for this joke didn’t you.” He mumbled.

“Yup.” I laughed.

“Ah Eclipse is it supposed to disappear like that?” Talia asked.

I looked at the sink as it slowly turned into light particles. “Um.” I hesitated.

Do to taking out something that shouldn’t exist, yet it has been deleted for this inconvenience we have given you the spell water spout.

“My system told me that it deleted it.” I told her.

“I see so it deletes all forin object.” She concluded.

“No if it did that then the food we have would also disappear. It’s more likely it gets rid of all objects that don’t suit the world it is taken out in.” I said.

“I get it since this world doesn’t have indoor plumbing or the ability to create plastic materials it deleted it.” Jacob said.

“That’s my theory and to test it.” I then pulled out several pots and pans made with metal handles.

We let them sit for a second and when they didn’t dissolve into light. I then got to work cooking.

“Wait how do I know you can cook?” Jason asked.

“Yah for all we know your just as bad as I am.” Talia agreed.

“One I’m still alive, aren’t I? Two there is no way I would buy all this food and not be able to cook.” I stated as I poured oil into the pan.

“What was the point of the first point?” He asked.

“I was stuck in a dungeon for ten years you guess.” I said as I lit the mobile stove.

I then chopped up several pieces of stake then threw them into an oil coated pan the places the pan on the stove. As it cooked, I poured red whine over the pieces as they cooked in the whine and oil, I grabbed the spices and seasonings and made dipping sauces I shook the pan flipping the stake bites. I then threw parsley and clove into the pan after the whine evaporated or was absorbed by the meat. I then threw in some broccoli, so it can get some of the delicious stake taste. I then pulled it out and plated it for each of us and placed the dipping sauce in between us.

“There you go Bon appetit.” I said.

“I hope this isn’t one of those tropes where it looks good but tastes like shit.” Jacob grumbled.

“Or I can take it back.” I said reaching for the plate.

“NO! I mean you went to all this trouble I might as well try it.” He said grabbing a fork and sticking a piece of meat. He then dipped it into the Soy sauce and stuck it I his mouth.

I didn’t even look for his reaction I just started on my food and noticed Talia start to shovel lots of the beef bites into her mouth. I laughed as Jacob did the same thing, we didn’t talk but the sounds of enjoyment were all I needed to feel satisfied. Gluttony knows I could never satisfy my hunger because of his curse. I simply enjoyed the food and the company.
