Chapter 409: After thinking it through

She smiled, watching the door creak open as she leaned against the windowsill. The gentle breeze that frequented Bostan during its autumn months blew into the room, caressing her slender figure. As a man in heavy golden robes stepped inside the room, her servant bowed, paying her respects to the luminescent god.

"My king." Ziba acknowledged, keeping her eyes on the floor. 

King Adar waved at the girl dismissively, his eyes sweeping the room curiously. "You may leave us." He said as his gaze finally fell on the goddess. 

The servant hesitated, raising her head to turn to her master in protest.

Luna smiled at the girl. "It's okay, Ziba." She said, nodding at her reassuringly. "Wait outside."

The girl quickly obeyed, slipping outside the room silently. As the door shut behind her, the king raised his brows.

"You look quite fine for someone who got injured." He said, looking her up and down with a frown.
