His heart trembled at the sight of her paling face. He quickly retracted his hand, withdrawing his energy from her. The moon goddess coughed, blood dripping from the side of her mouth. 

"Let me go," Luna begged, tears streaming down her eyes. "It's no use." 

Sargon shook his head in refusal. It was too cruel a thing to ask of him. "No, I can't." He said between his sobs, clutching her closer to his chest. 

He had waited centuries for her with a deep longing in the pit of his heart, unknowingly. When the star had first risen over Bostan, signaling her birth, he had felt it- the tug of the red string of fate that connected the two of them. The emptiness in his heart quickly filled with every step that she had taken and every word she had said.
