When he woke up, Elize was still sound asleep. Somewhere in the middle of the night, he had slept off next to her and she had snuggled inside his arms like a puppy seeking warmth. He couldn't help but smile at the sound of her snoring softly. She must have been drained, he thought as the sight of her lying unconscious amidst a group of hungry vampires resurfaced in his mind. Though her blood was special and her body stronger than the average magical being, she was too young to have handled all of that in that short of a period.
