" I promised my daughter that I would not give you her location, but I can tell you that she is in Germany. It is up to your perseverance to locate her," said Manick solemnly. Lucas drank in all the information with utmost concentration. This made his life easier. He could dispatch all his resources to locate her.

He finally sighed in relief. She was within his grasps after weeks of searching for her. Lucas smiled for the first time in weeks. He felt at peace. He called his assistant as he left the office. " Get me on the next flight to Germany with a team of the best men," declared Lucas with determination.

I am never letting her out of my sight, he vowed to himself. As his plane landed in Frankfurt International Airport, he beamed at the thought that he was in the same country with Maya. He went straight to his penthouse in the Altstadt. He had properties all over the world but this was the first time he actually visited this property after purchasing it.

After settling in, he called his old friend Micheal. " I need a favor buddy," he said smilingly. " I am surprised, you come to visit after a year and suddenly you request a favor? What is it?" smirked Micheal. " I need an engagement ring, one of a kind, made with a platinum band and with an emerald as the centerpiece. How fast can you create it for me?" questioned Lucas with a cheeky smile.

" An engagement ring?! Wow that's news! Who is the lucky girl?" exclaimed Micheal. For the decades he knew Lucas, he never once thought that he was the marrying kind. He knew that this must be someone special to win Lucas over. " She is a rare gem herself," sighed Lucas melancholically.

" Hhmm, so where is she? Why does she have no say in her own engagement ring?" questioned Micheal suspiciously. " Well that's because I lost her recently, I have to win her back again," whispered Lucas with a tinge of remorse. " May the force be with you," chuckled Micheal. Lucas just rolled his eyes.

" Boss, we have located Miss Maya," whispered his assistant. Lucas shot up instantly. " She has been living in Dusseldorf all this time. She has maintained an extremely low profile despite attending all the Fashion Weeks across Europe. She came over here with her aunt and cousins. No return flights have been scheduled for any of them at the current moment. She recently interviewed for Stark Corp," stated the assistant methodically.

Lucas only hired top notch professionals hence he could trust their information. " Buy over Stark Corp in Dusseldorf and prepare to relaunch our headquarters there. Keep all information regarding the CEO confidential," ordered Lucas. He knew he had to win her over properly. He needed to make sure he had her within his sight at all times.

Meanwhile Maya was quite confident with the interview she just had a few days ago with Stark Corp. Starting over was really the healing she needed. She wanted some time abroad to feel rejuvenated and whole again. She confidently decided to cook a scrumptious meal for her aunt and cousins. She invited them over as she walked towards the supermarket. She was clearly in a good mood as she hummed to herself. She walked in and started picking up groceries aisle by aisle.

Just as she proceeded to the checkout counter, she received an Email from Stark Corp. congratulating her on passing her interview and her starting date. She was quite shocked, she didn't expect to be informed so fast, she naturally assumed they would take a week or two to get back to her. She sauntered out filled with mirth.

As she was cooking a feast, her aunt suddenly called. Your cousin has a new friend, so he would also be joining us. Maya was a bit peeved at the sudden addition but agreed nonetheless. She always cooked more than required. She prepared the dishes, set the table and decided to take a shower to wash of the oil and smell of spice on her skin.

As she walked out of her room while toweling her hair, she could hear her aunt and cousins talking. She was not shocked as they had a set of keys to her place. She suddenly heard a man's voice. It sounded quite familiar yet she couldn't identify why. She smiled as she went out to greet her guests.

She was stunned the moment she laid eyes on them. Her heart started beating frantically as she came face to face with the man whom the voice belonged to. Now she knew why it sounded familiar. It was Lucas. Lucas was actually here in her home. She was stunned. How did he find her? As she stood there statue like, her cousin Danielle stood up and greeted her, " Sis, this is my friend Lucas, he is from M country as well." " Hi Maya," greeted Lucas as he stood up. He has been eyeing her the minute he laid eyes on her.

He hungrily absorbed her features and how she looked paler than before. Her long curly locks were also chopped off up to her shoulder. She looked the same yet so different. He had not realised the extent he missed her till he saw her. He wished to devour her that instant but he couldn't.

" How? How do you know him?" stuttered Maya. Her family knew her history with Lucas but that information did not extend to her aunt and cousins. " He is my new boss," chimed Danielle proudly. " Your new boss??? That means he owns Stark Corp," realised Maya shockingly. That means Lucas was her new boss too! Why was fate so cruel towards her, why must he own every company she joined.

Lucas walked slowly towards Maya and took her hand, " Nice to meet you Maya." Electricity coursed through her hand as they touched. She just mumbled a response. " I am hungry, lets eat," whined Anna, her younger cousin. " Yes, the food is ready," replied Maya absent mindedly.

As they sat down to eat, Lucas suddenly spoke, " Marry Me Maya."
