''This is amazing.''

Lucas was looking at the system windows, completely happy. It was almost like this was all a dream, and he was just imagining those stats. Anyway, Lucas didn't mind and continued what he was doing.

If he had panicked, he would certainly have pinched himself. However, he continued to walk calmly with Ket through the village of Woodion.

"This is undoubtedly impressive." He muttered once more.

Although, for some reason, he doesn't have as many skills as other people at his level, his stats far surpass his current level. As Lucas recalled, the basic stats for a starting level 1 character were 6 Strength, 6 Dexterity, 6 Agility, 8 Stamina, and 7 Magic Power. In other words, the total number of stats for a level 1 character was about 33 points, which could have some changes depending on the starting value of the user.

Assuming that, Lucas's base stats had been anybody's guess since he arrived in this new world, adding up to 116 stat points in total. On top of that, there were also the 7 Sharp Senses points he received immediately, making an impressive and whopping total of 122 points. Using some simple calculations, it was easy to see that his stats at level 1 were higher than users at level 20, which meant that when it came to stats, he had an overwhelming advantage from others.

Lucas was forced to admit that some of his titles weren't all that useless, especially those that boosted his total amount of stats.

Lucas slowed his pace a little, falling behind Ket who continued on and on.

'Now that I think about it, why do I get 8 stat points per level?'

He realized something very important, and paid attention to the extra stat points he gained by leveling up.

'Also, I received stat points at level 1… Why?'

Unused stat points increased by 6 points every time someone leveled up, so Lucas should have 0 points at level 1. So he quickly pondered why he got 2 points more than the others, and what was the reason that he received stat points at the starting level. Many strange theories crossed the young man's mind, but there were only two hypotheses that were convincing.

'Maybe I got extra stat points, since every time you level up you get points, even though you're at a negative level?'

Lucas had been sent to Acaris at level -1, he had to level up twice to get to level 1. That was probably the reason why he had received those extra unused stat points at level 1.

But then, what about the 2 extra points Lucas got when he leveled up?

'That second class that appears in the system window, even though it is blocked, it still gives me two more points just for its presence!'

All his struggles and perseverance were significant, and he finally realized it. Perhaps the young man had been so unlucky that it had turned to luck somehow.

''Hahahaha!!''

Lucas began to laugh suddenly, startling Ket and the people passing through the square, near the place where they were walking. The volume and sound of his laugh was proportionate to his joy, and he couldn't stop laughing at all.

''Puhahahat~''

''Kekeke~''

The people in the square backed away from the boy, looking at him as if Lucas were some kind of madman, while Lucas laughed so hard his stomach hurt and his lungs ran out of air. Despite trying, he just couldn't stop laughing.

Ket looked around, noticing that many people in the place were looking at her and Lucas as if they were watching a bizarre show.

She wasted no time, thinking about Lucas's speech that morning: 'We're not going to attract unwanted attention, and by no means must we do something that will give us a strange reputation or a weird fame.'

She'd been following that line to the letter, and since she and Lucas left the inn, she'd limited herself to just smiling and waving at people. Yet here was her leader figure, laughing nonstop like a maniac, in extreme pain and nearly falling to the ground with laughter.

''This is the laugh of a complete crazy person! Earlier you gave me a serious talk that we should act like notable and worthy figures, and I don't know where those things are in you now. If you don't literally want to destroy your image completely in the village, then please stop.''

Lucas laughed like a lunatic, but forced himself to stop after Ket's comments about his attitude.

Those laughs had certainly been good for Lucas's mind, but they could have meant that his image had been distorted in the heads of the villagers, adventurers and travellers.

He composed himself, taking a deep breath to calm himself once and for all.

Lucas' eyes then met Ket's, causing her to lower her gaze. What kind of weird attitude was that?

'I thought the one with the dignity stat was you.'

Lucas then looked at all the people who were glancing in his direction. His eyes were cold and everyone quickly looked away.

'First, now that I've calmed down, let's think more precisely. I have to think and try to figure out how partys and raids work in this world.'

He worried for a brief moment, resuming his walk with Ket. In the last few days, more precisely, in the time he was in this world, he acted almost entirely in an improvised way, without thinking deeply about his actions. Now that his situation had improved, he needed to be more cautious.

Lucas felt he shouldn't miss out on anything, much less spoil the things he'd gotten, by being rash.

'I have a lot of stats that exceed the level I'm at, so there's absolutely no reason to distribute the few unused stat points hastily.'

'Besides, I have this idiot healer by my side.' He glanced quickly at Ket, who grinned widely, drawing eyes from all sides of the square.

Lucas then thought of the most important things to him now. These things were:

''Money in lots and a group!''

Money and a party for the dangerous expedition to the Deep Cave of the Abyss. He needed to earn enough money to be able to pay for the carriage to move from the village to the town of Lumus, where the cost of living would certainly be more expensive than the place they're in now.

Ket and the people around Lucas flinched when he suddenly yelled.

Lucas then took Ket by the shoulder and spoke in her ear: ''I told you before that we need to find some people to join our group, or find a party that will approach the place we plan to go. So follow me and smile, as you're doing now, to delight people. Above all, you agree with all what I say, ok?''

Ket nodded slightly.

She then asked: ''But who would be willing to accept you into an hunt expedition group? After all, your level is lower than what they're looking for.''

Lucas pointed to a spot in the center of the park, where a few people were sitting alone.

''Those people over there.''

'What's the difference?' Ket thought.

Unlike the other people who were gathered in groups in the village park, those individuals who were sitting sadly in the middle of the place were weaker or disreputable, and therefore naturally 'disposable'. No matter how many people a group had, if one's level was low compared to the others, it meant that he/she would likely be just one more difficulty in the expedition's trajectory.

The spirit of those people was clearly empty, they looked intently at the sky or the ground without expression.

Lucas looked to the side and read Ket's confused expression, explaining, "These people are relatively weak or disreputable, but they are definitely not common. Also, I don't just want to pick someone randomly, and fortunately, I have a skill that will help me immensely to choose the best person for our mission. So, let me proceed.''

Ket once again waved, while Lucas muttered under his breath.

''Inspection.''

[The skill 'Inspection' has been activated.]

[Targets within the user's field of view will be analyzed.]

[Action successfully completed!]

A few windows appeared in front of Lucas, but only two interested him.

"That's what I'm talking about." Lucas said with a happy expression on his face.

That girl's stats were relatively high for her level. They were probably augmented by quest titles and rewards, as she had 7 different titles. However that wasn't what caught Lucas' attention…

''She can ignore the enemy's defense!''

For people who participated in the Deep Cave of the Abyss raid in Soulland's time, this penetration effect was essential. It would be no different now, as they were in the world of Acaris, the world in which Soulland game was set.

Lucas then shook his head from side to side. He thought that even if it were for players and people who didn't participate in the Deep Cave of the Abyss invasion, this effect would still be useful, and the demand for the user who owned it would be high... However, maybe people ignored the girl completely just for being a martial artist, one of the most underrated classes that existed in Soulland.

These two would be extremely useful in the Deep Cave expedition and certainly cleaning the dungeon would be easier with their help.

Lucas looked at the two remarkable people, smiling as he approached them and held out his hand.

''Do you want to be part of my party?''
