1 Prologue

"Darling her wrist," A man was looking down at his daughter, then at his wife, confusion clouding his gaze.

"I know Nate, but how, The Cemedon went extinct years ago," Darling looked at her daughter. "I just hope she lives a normal life."

A moment later the doctors burst out of the room and into another, talking wildly about Darling and Nate's daughter.

"But The Cemedon's dead!" Someone cried.

"How is this possible?" Another muttered, anxiously.

"It'll have to be hidden from the poor girl. If it's not, she'll be paranoid for life," A third person sighed.

"Quiet, all of you, now!" A man yelled loud enough to startle everyone in the room. "The girl will live a normal life. The Blade Sisters always have a reason for what they do. Her death won't be hidden from her. It's up to Bailey herself to choose how she will take it, however, if Bailey does become paranoid, I don't think it will be easy to calm her when she's older.

From the other room, Darling sobbed. She and Nate overheard the conversation the doctors had and were devastated. They had wanted their child to live a normal life, now they believed that she would have to live in fear and worry.

"This is all just peer pressure from dead people," Nate thought to himself. "Our daughter will be ok...I hope," He muttered in the last part, not wanting to worry his wife. He wiped the tears from Darling's face.

The doctors enter the room; some worry faced and others more confused. "Mr. and Mrs. Diaz, may I speak with you, alone?" The man glared at the other people in the room.

"Yes of course Dr. Crestwood, what would you like to speak with us about, will Bailey be okay?" Nate and Darling said almost at the same time.

Dr. Crestwood looked at the rest of his coworkers making sure they left and were out of ear-shot. His eyes were clouded with worry and he was completely sure what to say. "Mr. and Mrs. Diaz, as you know, Bailey's cause of death will be The Cemedon, but it's gone extinct. The Blade Sister must have a reas-," Darling cut him off.

"The Blade Sisters are monsters from doing this to Bailey! They've only caused worry and fear in our lives. If The blade Sisters have a reason for doing this, they can come down from their gloomy, dark home in Kolavis and explain why to me personally." She yelled. Darling had always been a calm and caring person that didn't normally get angry. She was being fueled by fear and sadness, everything she said at that moment she didn't mean. Tears trickled down her cheek and she held her baby closer to her.

"Mrs. Diaz, you must understand that The Blade Sisters always have a reason for what they do. I can't tell you why they did what they did or why they do what they do, but they did it for a reason." His voice was soothing and understanding. Dr. Crestwood dipped his head respectfully to Mr. and Mrs. Diaz, then he left the room leaving them to themselves.

"My poor Bailey, she-, "Darling broke down sobbing once more. Her husband tried to comfort her but it was no good. A breeze howled through the open window. Nate got up to open it but just as he reached to touch the sill, he fell to the ground, freezing right before Darling's eyes. She yelled for help but it was too late, Nate had died. Another breeze blew into the room, however, this time it sounded as if someone was speaking.

"The girl will die!"
