Chapter 0

Before you start reading, I'd like to mention that I'm relatively new to writing fanfiction. As a result, I've decided to keep this chapter quite short because I'm eager to hear your feedback and ideas on how to make it work!

I would greatly appreciate your feedback since I'm not entirely sure when I make grammatical mistakes, or if my ideas might come across as off-putting. PS: English isn't my first language, so please bear with me.

Happy reading - Monke God :)

Chapter 0: Transmigration

"Is this a dream?" Ethan mumbled to himself in disbelief at his current predicament.

He found himself in an unfamiliar room, definitely not his bedroom. The last time he checked, he lived in a small apartment, which was far from this spacious environment. Furthermore, his own voice sounded strangely different.

"Could this be transmigration?" Ethan pondered, feeling uncertain.

He had read many novels and fanfics, and the concept of being transmigrated seemed to be the most plausible explanation for his situation. After all, who would want to kidnap him?

Ethan was an ordinary guy, in the most literal sense. He had been living by himself in an apartment since his parents passed away. He didn't possess remarkable looks, but he didn't look bad either. He had no major flaws, and his interactions with others were, at best, amiable.

That's how most people perceived him.

So, there didn't appear to be any reason for someone to break into his apartment building, kidnap him, and then leave him in a completely different environment, especially if it was for ransom money. He had no surviving relatives and was barely making ends meet due to the expensive rent.

He looked up at the TV screen, snapping out of his dazed state, and saw a completely different person altogether.

Concluding that he had indeed transmigrated, there was now only one question left: Where?

Since most of the fanfic stories he'd read revolved around being sent to other fictional worlds, such as the Harry Potter universe, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or some entirely random setting, he decided he needed to gather information about this world's history and other details that would undoubtedly help him figure out where he was.

Ethan rose from his seat, feeling somewhat annoyed by this inexplicable transmigration but also excited. After all, who wouldn't want to be transmigrated to a completely different world? It was every fanfiction reader's dream, wasn't it?

[A/N: This is painful to write;_;]

As he got up from his chair, he was suddenly hit by a painful headache and collapsed, overwhelmed by a wave of information directly flooding into his brain.

"AAGHH-!" Ethan screamed in agony as the information formed an almost identical replica of the Library of Congress in his mind (the largest library in the world).

The shelves were filled with books related to gaming, covering game design, programming, 3D modeling, and showcasing famous works such as Minecraft, Dark Souls, Sekiro, Doom, and The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. Eventually, the pain caused Ethan to lose consciousness.

Chapter end.

---------------------

I want to express my sincere thanks for taking the time to read this far. I'm still relatively new to this, and I lack a lot of motivation and confidence in my writing. I thought it would be better to write a short chapter to gauge your feedback and determine whether I should continue writing and make future chapters longer, or abandon the idea altogether. Nonetheless, I've had this idea in mind for some time (including the execution and which games to incorporate), and I decided to give writing a try, as I usually just read content here on webnovel for the funni :D. Thank you!
