Chapter 10- New Highschool (Part 3)

The two walked inside the building while garnering many looks. It was to the point where students split into two sides just to let them pass freely. Reo didn't really care about the matter that much but he was still not that accustomed to this level of attention, so he whispered to Rena.

"Do you get such looks very often?" He asked.

Rena, who was still leaving in her dream world where she and Reo were a couple that was madly in love, shuddered slightly when she felt Reo's breath close to her ear. But she coughed slightly and replied.

"W-Well, most of the time, it is the case. But, I grew accustomed to it so I don't really care that much. Are you feeling uncomfortable? I can ask them to leave us alone if you want." She said concernedly.

"Not really. Thanks though."

They kept their voices low so that the other students didn't hear them. However, from an outsider's point of view, Reo and Rena looked like a lovely couple whispering intimately in each other's ears and laughing together. Their appearance was a sight for sore eyes.

"Goddammit, they were blessed with good looks while I am here looking like a giraffe. Fuck me." A boy muttered.

"You are at least tall, which is not that bad. Look at me, I am not only short but also ugly as fuck." Another responded with a long sigh.

Anyway, the two reached a huge board in the middle of the corridor just in front of the entrance. Many people were standing there, seemingly searching for their names in the lists posted there.

You could hear cheers and sighs of sadness from every place. Some talked excitedly with their friends while others were just cursing their luck for not falling into the same class as their friends. Most of them were people who studied in the same schools from back in kindergarten, so passing an entire year without them was very painful indeed.

"I will go check if our names are together," Rena said.

"Didn't you already make sure we're put in the same class? What's the point of checking?"

"Just making sure the headmaster had listened to my words. We don't want him to retire early, do we?"

"Huh?"

"Cough, anyway, I am going. Be right back, Reo~" she said before approaching the boards, making her way through the swarms of people quite easily.

As Reo was standing there waiting, a group of girls approached him hesitantly. The girls weren't bad looking at all and they could've easily attracted any man they put their minds on. But, Reo was simply on a whole other level that their self-confidence could only take a hit.

"E-Excuse me." One of them stepped up and spoke timidly.

"Hello?" He said.

"Can I get your number, please?"

She then extended her hand with her phone in it and closed her eyes, waiting for his reply anxiously.

'Should I really buy a phone? I feel like everyone will be asking for my phone number from now on.' He thought to himself.

"My bad, I don't really have a pho,e at the moment."

"I see. That's fine, but can I ask you one single question?" The girl didn't leave immediately and instead wanted to ask him another question.

"What is it?"

"I think I saw you yesterday in Paradise Online. We made a small team and we want to complete the quests quickly. Can you help us?"

Reo sighed under his breath. He never thought about the fact that people in the real world, could recognize his face which could cause a lot of trouble.

'How should I deal with this matter?'

As he was like that, Rena came back and stood beside Reo casually. She eyed the group of girls, which made them flinch slightly.

"Is there a problem?" She asked with a calm smile.

"N-No… We were just introducing ourselves to him." The girl replied as she took a peek at her friends and made a small sign.

The group then excused themselves and left.

"I leave you alone and girls already approached you. You are quite the hot stuff, mister handsome." She directed her angry smile toward Reo.

"What? I didn't do anything."

"That's the problem. Your existence is way too dangerous around these sly foxes!"

"Foxes?"

"Nothing! I am going to class, humph."

Then, Rena stomped her way to the class and muttered some incoherent words.

"Sigh, this is going to be a long day for sure." He thought as he felt himself slowly getting exhausted mentally even though they were still in the morning.

A few hours passed, and lunch finally came. The classes passed quietly. The teachers didn't really do much other than get to know the students and some information about the classes and stuff like that.

Rena and Reo walked out of the class together and went straight to the cafeteria to eat their lunch.

"When is the day going to end? I want to play Paradise Online as soon as possible. I am sure that I can level up faster if I put my mind to it.

Reo opened his mouth to answer, but then went silent and his eyes turned slightly serious.

"I think someone is following us. Don't react to it." He said without showing any sign of suspicion.

Rena was slightly surprised but still nodded her head and kept her head straight.

The two continued walking to the cafeteria as normally as possible. When they reached their destination, the stalkers finally walked away and Reo couldn't sense them anymore.

"Why were they following us? Are they your fans?" Reo asked jokingly.

"That can be possible. They can be from my fan club." Rena replied seriously.

"Wait… You have a fan club?" His eyes widened in shock.

"Mm, I think so. I mean, I didn't give my consent to it but it still exists."

"Wow. That is just impressive."

"Hehehe, you should value me more then! I am very popular, after all."

"Yes, yes, my princess." Reo rolled his eyes and replied sarcastically.

After they ate lunch, Reo stood up and excused himself to go to the toilet. Students were still eating, so the corridors were pretty much empty.

"You can get out now, you know. No one is here." Reo said as he stood in the middle of the corridor.

Not even 3 seconds passed before a group of 4 students appeared in front of him. They were all boys, and they all looked like typical bullies.

Reo eyed them one by one before looking at the leader, who was Oliver Lockwood. He had a small smirk on his face that could make anyone scratch his face with irritation.

"I never thought that I will have to stoop so low and try to beat up a peasant myself. But, for the sake of my beautiful Rena and our future together, I have to dirty my hands. Ah, how much I do for love." The boy said with a chuckle.

'I want to beat him up.' Reo thought casually, but he shook his head and erased the idea immediately.

Fighting inside the school grounds was obviously prohibited and could end up with the culprit being kicked out of the school. Not only that but Rena could also get in trouble because he and her reputation will be tarnished.

"I have no reason to fight you all. Leave and I will turn a blind eye to it."

"We can't do that, can we, boys?" He said and looked at his grip with a wide grin.

"I want to punch that face of yours until I fucking reshape your bones and turn you into an ugly bastard." He tapped his fist twice.

Reo shook his head and looked around him. There were many cameras everywhere. He couldn't fight so he decided to just not fight. He will let them beat each other up without him lifting a finger.

"Ok, here I am. Beat me up to your heart's content." He said with a small smile and extended his arms.

"You bastard!!"

"He is mocking us! Get him!"

"I will fuck you up!!"

The boys couldn't hold it in anymore and immediately ran toward him.

At some point, where these guys didn't see it. Reo's gentle eyes that never showed any hostility changed completely. It was such a drastic change that it could send a chill down the spine of any human, including Rena herself.
