Chapter 01- New Life (Part 1)

"Damn, the city is really big. Gramps never told me that it was this massive. I could even fit 100 people here, probably." Reo muttered to himself as he walked through the streets of Luna, the capital city of Westeria. It's a giant metropolitan city located near the ocean and spanned thousands and thousands of kilometers, making it the biggest city in the world.

It was not an exaggeration to say that this place was the center of the whole globe and the dream place for every person in the world. It had opportunities, safety, comfort, and everything a person desired from the place they lived in.

Reo was not an exception either. He had spent 16 years of his life in a rural village far from here where he lived with his grandfather. He had always desired to attend high school in this place since he heard about all the amazing things Luna had.

"Hmm, now from where should I go?" He muttered as he looked around him with a confused look. He was meant to meet a certain person here who will bring him to his new home. But, he doesn't seem to be able to find them.

"Look at that guy… He looks so hot! Is he a model?" A woman whispered secretly to her friend beside her. They were not the only ones that were having the same reaction. Many were eyeing him with a blushing look and others were even contemplating whether they should go talk to him or not.

But, obviously, there were people who didn't contemplate and merely went with whatever their heads told them without thinking about the consequences.

"Hey, you." A woman approached Reo and called him from behind.

"Hm?"

He turned around to look at the stranger. The woman was average looking but with a very mature body that was by no means average. Especially her breasts that she obviously took pride in. They were big and jiggly just like jelly.

"You are hot, give me your number." She said with a serious look.

"Mmm, my number?" Reo muttered back as if he didn't understand what she said to him.

"Yes, your number. You look extremely handsome and I want to take you out for dinner or a date. Whatever you want. I have money after all."

"I don't have a number though. My bad. Anyway, goodbye." Reo replied after he lost interest in the woman. He thought she was about to help him find his way but she ended up hitting on him so balantly.

"I never experienced something like this before. It's an interesting experience." He muttered as he held his chin with his two fingers and continued walking, deep in thought.

"Hey wait!!" The woman shouted with an angry tone. Her face had turned red with embarrassment from the looks of contempt she garnered from the masses.

"Who does she think she is? He obviously won't give her his number." A woman scoffed.

"True. She can't see the glaring difference between them. What a fucking joke." Another person muttered.

"I would let her hit on me if I have to be honest. Didn't you see the racks on that woman? They are fucking lethal." A random man said and then ran away before anyone could see him.

In the middle of all of this ruckus, Reo looked at the woman and asked.

"Anything else? I'm really busy now."

"How dare you treat me like that?! Do you think that you are some kind of superior being just because you are slightly above average when it comes to looks."

When everyone heard her words, they could only look at Reo and shake their heads with a long sigh.

'If he is 'just slightly above average' then we are nothing but dirty pigs.' They all thought.

If they just laughed at the woman before, they now just straight up pitied her.

"Hmm, I never really said anything that could be considered disrespectful. Why is everyone here rude for god's sake? Learn some manners." He said before turning around and walking away casually.

Even when he said that, his tone was pure and lacked any malicious intent. He was simply asking her to learn some manners…Literally.

"...What?" The woman muttered in disbelief.

Then, she gritted her teeth and followed Reo hurriedly. When she reached him, she tried to grab his shoulder and yank him.

*Slap*

However, her hand was slapped away when it was merely a few inches away from its target.

"Who did tha-" She shouted and looked to the side. But, the moment she saw the culprit, her voice got stuck in her throat.

Not only the woman but also everyone present froze in their place.

"Oh…" Reo was the only one who didn't get shocked and merely smiled widely. His smile was like a breeze of cool air that could rejuvenate anyone with just a simple glance.

He could've made everyone blush with that simple smile but the beauty that stood in front of him had already stolen all the attention garnered by the masses.

A long, silk-like brown hair that reached her waist. An angelic face that could not be compared to anything else. It was basically carved out of the finest ore and created to be the world's most beautiful masterpiece.

A perfect body that had all the good curves in all the good places.

She was a jaw-dropping beauty in every sense of the word.

"Sorry for making you wait, Reo. I overslept." The girl said with an apologetic tone.

"No worries. It's been a long time, Rena. I missed you." He said and pulled the girl into a hug.

The girl was surprised at first but then smiled warmly with a hint of red tainting her cheeks. She then hugged him back and closed her eyes to savor the moment of reunion for a few seconds.

Then, she pulled out from the hug and looked at him then at the crowd that was still in a daze, looking at her.

"Let's go, we can't stay here. There are a lot of things I want to ask you about." She said and pulled his hand before walking away.

The moment she left, everyone came back to their senses and could only think of one thing.

'Who is that beauty?! Are they a couple?'

From the way they acted, they did certainly appear to be on good terms and that made it even more hard for them to believe that such a perfect couple could exist.

It was simply a match made in heaven as they said.

As for the woman, she could only clench her teeth and run away. This was the most embarrassing moment of her life.

Who knows? Maybe after that, she will stop hunting down good-looking boys with her money. Only time will tell.

"Sigh, you saved me there. That woman was kinda scary." Reo said as they stopped in a nearby street.

"Fufufu, no worries. Now that we are alone." Rena said mysteriously before she pulled Reo's hand again and hugged him tightly.

"I missed you so much, Reo. I can't believe it has been 3 years since I left the village. I really missed our time together." She muttered as she fought the urge to start crying.

Everyday was like a monotone world that lacked color. She missed Reo and the village, she also missed the village people and the calm atmosphere of that place.

It was truly the best time of her life.

Reo felt her hands tighten and he could only pat her on the head and caress her long hair gently. He also missed her a lot and was really happy to see her doing well.

After a few minutes, they separated again and Rena wiped her teary eyes.

"How is grandfather doing? I can assume he didn't let you come here easily fufufu."

"You have no idea, Rena. He almost chased me with his cane to the end of the village when I told him about the idea. But, in the end. He accepted." Reo said and scratched his head.

"But, I must say. The city is really different from the village. Everyone here is grumpy and rude for some reason. There was even a guy who pointed a gun at me. He should know that guns are illegal. What a weirdo."

"A gun?! You had been threatened with a gun?!" Rena exclaimed with a shocked look.

"Hmm, if you want to phrase it that way then yes. I beat him up though. He wasn't that strong."

"...Reo… You idiot!" She shouted.

"How can you be so casual about that? You could've been injured or even…"

"Relax, I am not an easy pushover. Besides, look, I'm fine." He replied.

"No! Even though you are quite strong you are still being reckless. If anything happens to you…I will…" Rena pouted and turned around with a frown on her face. He could hear the extreme worry in her voice and could only give up.

"Sigh…Fine, I'm sorry. I will never do that again."

Rena didn't turn around but she still muttered.

"Promise?"

"Promise."
