Chapter 1

The first moments after the arrival of the United States of America to this new world led to the engulfing of disaster across its shattered and now broken continent. Hundreds of earthquakes destroyed and shifted the geography of the nation, demolishing hundreds of cities and towns in the process. It left thousands of civilians to depend on themselves in the desolation. All of the shattered coasts were flooded by the grand waves of the new world, generated by their own arrival, leaving them as nothing more than ruins of what once was filled with human life.

Almost all vehicles and devices, after the transfer, ceased to function, alongside everything that helped in their maintenance and stability. But as always, not everyone on the continent suffered and faced the same problems in the same proportions. Some would be able to survive the chaos, but the same couldn't be said for its governments.

Yet, these disasters were nothing but small parts forming a grander and more horrible picture.

Chaos began and then spread across the nation. In Washington D.C., the White House and Congress were trying to piece together what was happening. In one second, they lost all contact with the state governments and not only that, the rest of the world. While they were attempting to restore order, they had to do it without the grand majority of their state-of-the-art electronic devices and gadgets.

It was clear to the government that they needed to take care of the riots and protests that were beginning to fill the streets of the city. With the help of the very few devices and security centers that were still active across Washington D.C., most of these riots were stopped. The president declared a state of martial law, ordering the population to remain calm and in complete order, while other emergency services were trying to fix the damages caused by the riots and the natural disasters.

The event was something that the United States of America wasn't completely prepared for, emphasis on completely. Over the years, the United States of America planned hundreds of hypothetical plans and operations in order to engage and react as fast as possible to any kind of disaster. From possible types of wars, to even alien invasions and zombie infestations, they recognized what they would need to do. This event was no different, and simply required a tweaking of the older plans.

This new plan would be named "Plan №1697: Justinian's Dream".

While the government tried to complete the first objectives of the plan, a grand portion of the population were suffering and fighting for their survival, inside and beyond Washington D.C. Most of the emergency services that were left were overwhelmed by the high amount of casualties incurred from these conflicts.

These problems were only beginning for the United States of America.

For now, the arrival of the fragmented continent of the United States of America was left unnoticed on the continent of Paradigm, mostly by luck. The present countries across the main continent were mostly focused on attacking and defending against their current and future enemies. But, of course, in between their own citizens, a lot of rumors spread about strange objects arriving and disappearing from the coast, the sight of some strange boats and ships wrecking and sinking into the large ocean, and the strange lights coming from far away.

Many dismissed these rumors as simply rumors from and about their own citizens. Little did they know that those rumors were real and could be proven, but not by any of the citizens in the mainland. Rather, another kind of people, with relatively a small following but powerful beliefs… the doomsday cultists…
