Unexpectedly Exposed

Ryuichi rushed, led by the soldier and Luo Yi followed not far behind. They ran across the entrance of the castle and in mere minutes, they reached the east tower of the gates with vampire speed. 

A few soldiers were guarding the area. They stood straight and saluted when they saw Ryuichi approach them.

They hurriedly made way for him and Luo Yi to pass and the sight there nearly made Luo Yi's heart drop. 

There were three heads, without their bodies, rowed in perfect intervals. They were all placed on the ground with their necks as the pivot. 

Blood that once dripped had dried up, surrounding the heads with a pool of dried blood. But that was not where the problem lay, it was their hair color. 

That blonde hair… 

Luo Yi had almost thought it was Caleb for sure before she breathed out relief when she realized it was not. 

Ryuichi bent down, examining the heads on the ground. 

"Their bodies?"
