It's my fault
One of the pikes had gotten a hold of her leg, its fangs penetrating her flesh, drawing blood.
"AHHH," she screamed, her sonic blast activating, blasting the creature into meat paste.
At this juncture, Leo and Mark had arrived to her aid. "That's serious," Mark said, looking at the several teeth marks on his girlfriend's leg.
He turned to Leo, boiling with rage as he felt it was his fault. "I..." He stopped, noticing the look on Leo's face.
Leo wore a regretful, sorrowful, annoyed expression, showing he blamed himself. This left Mark speechless, as it was against his principles to hit someone when they were already down.
"Leo, it's not your fault," he said, trying to comfort Leo.
Leo ignored him, his eyes glued to the screaming girl who clutched her leg in pain.
