1 Chapter One Bruises

"Guess who?" Ben says as his warm strong arms wrapped hard against my waist, and the tarnished edge of his diamond watch leaves a smudge on my white T-shirt. The hairs in my arms in a sudden rush of cold swap across me. "Benjamin, I don't have time for this the bells going to ring!" His body moved closer, closing the gap between us. "Benjamin move!" I gather all my strength and push him away.

When I got to my homeroom class, I was about to take my seat when I spotted a boy with a motorcycle outside my teacher's window. He parked his motorcycle across from the principal's office. I guess he felt me staring because he started waving at me, I smiled embarrassedly and then went to my seat.

When I sat down Ben stared at me with an odd expression on his face, from the other side of the room. Almost didn't hear our names being called by the teacher, "Samantha and Benjamin, you two need to go to the office you can't keep coming into class late." I was about to say it was all Ben's fault but it was too late he had already said it was all mine. My teacher looked at me like I was stupid and sent me to the office instead.

I don't know why he treats me this way, Ben had been the one who did not want me, not the other way around. of course, We stopped hanging out after that. A few weeks later he tells me he wants me back, but ever since I turned it down, he's been harassing, me kissing, touching me, punching me, and kicking me. Then when I say I'm will tell he tells me, he was sorry tells me he would never do it again but all I have to do is be his girlfriend.

On my way to the office, I see the motorcycle boy. I guess he could hear my footsteps because he turned around and started walking towards me. As he got closer, my eye's traced over his body. Starting with his curly Raven black hair, his dark almond eyes, his full lips, and his arms long and muscular. Looking into his deep dark eyes I could feel myself growing warm I blushed. "hi, my name is Derek Narrow and I was wondering if you could show me around..." said as his eyes stared deep and into my soul. "No, I can't right now I have to go to the front office," I say as I point to the principal's office. "Well, I can wait," he said with a dazzling smile.

Then there was nothing, and the next thing I knew I was laying on a cot in the nurse's office. I sat up and looked around until I saw Derek, I was about to ask why he was there when ben walks in.

Out of nowhere Derek stands up and says "Samantha, I know we just met but I think you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen And I want you to be mine - no you are mine from now on." it sounded more like an assertion than a statement. Then, he smiled secrets that sent shivers down my spine.

Ben was furious. "who the fuck is this nobody!? I thought I told you you can't have any other guy friends other than me!!" Ben says as he walks up to Derek. To my surprise Derek was just observing Ben, he simply sat there watching, his feet resting lightly on the chair next to him with his thumbs in his pockets.

"I've been looking for you all day and look where I find you in the nurse's office with some weirdo." I guess Derek had enough because he stood out of his chair and said "Screw this, I'm not a nobody" Derek said standing over his chair a foot taller than Ben. "Get the fuck out of here if you know what's good for you"

Looking into bens thunderous face, I was suddenly fearful. "what so you aren't dating me because of this freak!?!!" Ben looked at me with anger in his eyes. "you're supposed to be mine!" his words were threatening. "I never was yours to begin," I said trembling. Derek put his arm around my shoulder gently caressing my arm. Ben growled then flipped us off "I hope you two die together I mean be happy together" after that he left.

Well, Ben's harassment has been getting worse lately. I had bruises all over my arms and rib cage. I had forgotten all about them, I overdid it. The nurse comes in "what do I have here" she said as she stood at the door. "Hi Miss Seymour," I said embarrassed. This was my third day in a week coming to the nurse's office all because Ben has harassing me. "this is your third day here I bet this was caused by Benjamin again! I think you should tell somebody about Ben and put it end to your suffering..."

"I don't know how you do it... walk around school all day and not faint right away" after the nurse's office I was sent home, which I didn't see no point in because my parents were not there to take care of me.

On my way home I stopped at a local park, as I watched the birds fly away, I saw someone lean on a motorcycle then I realized who it was, it was Derek. I was about to leave when he started walking towards me, I was going to walk away like I didn't see him coming in my direction but it was too late for that because he was already standing beside me. "wait, why are you in such a hurry to leave" he glares at me eyes shining an amused. "I have somewhere to be" I lied feeling a little uneasy. "um... I'll be on my way" then I walked Away.

I was home in a matter of seconds Isabella, my younger sister was doing homework on the couch. "hey Isabella, how was school?" I sat my bag down. "boring" she said making a face. "How about for you sis," she said grabbing a pencil. "The same boring," I said trying to be positive. I don't tell my sister everything that goes on at school, I went to my room to take a shower.

later that night I stayed up feeling sick looking at my bruises they had gotten worse I started to cry thinking that my life sucked. I went to sleep, exhausted.
