Hi! Im Mia Alvarez, Im 23 years old I work as a cafe server. I have a boyfriend named Francis he is 24 years old. I was born in UK but I grew up in Singapore. My mother named Esther Alvarez but she is in the hospital right now because my mom has a asthma and my father named Dave Alvarez but he died in a heart attack 7 years ago and I also have an older sister named Olivia, She is 25 years old. She lives in Mexico with her husband and son...

~Flashback, The Day Mia's Father Died~

Author's Pov

Mia happily came home from her school because she was excited to let her parents know that she got the highest mark in their class but when she arrived at their house her beautiful smile suddenly disappeared because she saw her father scolding her elder sister Olivia.

"THAT'S WHAT I TOLD YOU NOT TO GO WITH YOUR FRIENDS! But what did you do? YOU DISOBEYED ME! Because of your stubbornness, YOU GOT PREGNANT!! What will other people say, huh? What will your future look like? Your dreams? You still have many plans in your life, don't you? So tell me, who is the father of your child?" He asked and crossed his arms while waiting the answer of Olivia.

"Honey, Calm down. You're scaring-" Mia's mother was cut off by Dave's hand stop sign.

"I-It was... J-Jake dad" Her voice is shaking because of nervous, She looked down and started to cry again, As mia slowly entered the house and just listened.

"And who the hell is Jake?" He asked is seductive tone and raise his right eyebrow but Olivia didn't answer, Dave sighed.

"DON'T MAKE ME REPEAT, OLIVIA!" He shouted making everyone in the house startled.

"J-Jake i-is my, b-boyfriend dad...."

"See, You already have a boyfriend and you didn't even tell us!" He said in disappointment tone.

"I-I was gonna tell you but-" She got cut off by Dave's slap and she touches her left cheek.

"But what? Are you still waiting for us to ask you?" He said and pointed his finger to Olivia's face and said.. "Abort it, Olivia"

Everyone got shocked and Dave walk out but Olivia stop him by her shout... "NO! I WON'T ABORT MY CHILD, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS" She said.

Dave turned and faced Olivia "Don't you think? Your friends will stay away from you if they found out about your pregnancy, and you will go to school like that? Aren't you ashamed of yourself Olivia?" He said but Olivia responded.

"I will never be ashamed of having a child dad and I want to finish school even if I am like this" She confidently said.

Mia is just quietly listening because her father is just right.

Dave scoff and said.. "If you want to graduate from college, I hope you think about it, That will never happen to you if you think well, right? But you didn't. Our reminders are also for your own good and you know what.. I don't want to see your face anymore, I don't have a child who is a FLIRT! SO, GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!"

Olivia, Mia and Esther was shocked for what Dave just said, And Olivia couldn't believe her own father just kicked her out of the house and called her a "FLIRT".

"Is that what you want? FINE!" She yelled and walk out, But dave had a heart attack, He slowly falling but Mia's mother catch him.

"Dave... DAVE, MIA CALL 911. HURRY!!!" Mia obeyed her mother's command and Olivia is slowly turning around and saw her father sitting on the floor, catching his breaths.

"Olivia, Pass me the oxygen." Olivia heard her mother but she couldn't move from her spot.

"OLIVIA, PASS ME THE OXYGEN. HURRY!" She shouted but Olivia fainted bu luckily Mia catches her, Until the ambulance came and bought them to the hospital.

~At The Hospital~

And when he got to the hospital, Dave was quickly taken to the emergency room and Olivia is on the other hand and Dave died "Time of death, 8:34 PM" The doctor said and the doctor came out of the emergency room with a sad face.

"Doc, How's my father. Is he okay?"

"I am very sorry, but your father has died, he was actually dead when he arrived at the ER but we tried to revive him without success. Im so sorry for your loss.. Excuse me" The doctor said and walk away.

Mia's legs lost their balance so she fell to the cold floor and started to cry loud. She didn't care if a lot of people were looking at them, Esther hug Mia and started to cry.

Dave was released to the ER and taken to the morgue and they went to Olivia's room and ask the doctor if she and her child is fine.

"Doc, Is she okay? Is her baby okay too?" She nervously asked.

"Don't worry ma'am, she's okay and her baby too. She fainted because of stress and shock, She just needs to rest" The doctor said and they sigh in relief.

"Can we see her?" Esther asked and the doctor replied "Yes ma'am" and excuses herself, Mia and Esther enter the room where Olivia is.

Esther sat down next to Olivia and Mia stands behind Esther, She approached Olivia's hand and she kisses Olivia's hand, and a few minutes later Esther fell asleep while holding her hand and Mia is sleeping at the couch then Olivia woke up and saw her mom sleeping. Olivia slowly getting rid her hand and trying not to wake her mom up but her mom wakes up and quickly stands up.

Olivia's Pov

"Olivia, You're awake!" Mom said in happy tone and hugs me like there is no tomorrow until she broke the hug and said...

"Is there any pain? Tell me where" I could see her concern through her eyes, I am so lucky to have a mother like her.

"Mom, don't worry. Im okay." I replied and she sighed, I smiled for a minute but then I remembered what happens to dad earlier.

"Mom? Where's dad?" Mom's smile disappeared and look down, I didn't realise that I am already sobbing.

"Mom, W-What's wrong...?"

"Don't be so shocked if I tell you what happened to your dad, honey." She said and started to cry and said...

"Y-You're dad is..... D-D-Dead." She said and I shake my head means "NO" because I cannot believe that dad is dead... Because of me.

"No. T-That's not t-true, m-mom.."

"IT'S ALL MY FAULT!" I started to hit myself but mom and Mia stop me. "No, No, No, No"

I said...

"MIA, CALL THE NURSES. HURRY!" She said and And I saw mia hurriedly leave the room while mom is holding my hand, stoping me.
