Chapter 10

Leanne laid on the bed while looking at the ceiling and thinking the sentence Zeke told her. 'I still haven't seen that body of yours and yet you are already exposing it to everyone?' She can't help not to smile specially with the thought that her husband is being protective.

She was about to go to the table where her friends are when Reese saw her walking. He shouted and all eyes were focused on her, suddenly Zeke hurriedly walked towards her and pulled her hands.

All of her friends are whistling when they saw Leanne in that kind of clothes which her husband doesn't like. When they reached her room, the man looked at her and said those words which until now messes with her head.

"Zeke! Zeke! What are you doing to me?" She asked while messing her hair and sat on the bed. "Why do you make my heart flutter?" She continued and touched her chest.

To entertain herself, she stood up and changed her clothes into a sleeveless shirt and a short. As she open the door, she saw Axel looking at her with a broad smile. It feels like he is endorsing toothpaste brand with that kind of smile, she thought.

"Hello!" He greeted while waving his hand. "Are you going to do something today?" He asked when they got closer. Leanne shook her head then remembered that she shouldn't trust anyone that easily. Looks can be very deceiving.

"Don't worry I won't do anything that can cause you harm. I just want to know you better, Yan" He said while still smiling. Wait, what did he just called her? Yan?

"Okay!" She said in an uncertain voice. But the thought that her friends are in the same area reduces her worriess. They started walking and he keeps on talking about the beauty of the beach.

"By the way, who are you with? Are you sure that they are not looking for you by now?"

"I'm with my friends. Yes, they are doing their business and it would be awkward to meddle with their hobby" She answered. "How about you?"

They looked up and saw the clear and wide beauty of the sky. The fresh air plays with their hair and the scent of the flowers tingle with their nose.

"I am with me, myself and I" He said then laughed out so loud. She don't know the reason why but his laughters made her happy so she eventually laughed with him.

"Then what are you doing here alone? Aren't you sad? The ambiance of the place will be more beautiful if you are with your love ones" She said then looked at the sea.

"I am trying to forget something that happened in the past but still messing with my head until now" He said while watching the waves. She remained silent when she heard the sadness in his voice. "Can I open up to you?" He asked then she nodded as a response.

"It has been three years since an incident happened and everything has changed. The friendship of anyone can be broken once you didn't lend them your ears and hear their explanation" He said with his baritone voice and placed his hands on his pocket.

"Princess!" A sudden shout stopped him from talking and when she looked back, she saw Reese, Kaine and Tyron running towards them. Leanne waved her hands while smiling ear to ear as she sees joy in their eyes.

While running, Reese didn't notice a rock on his way and stumble on the sand. They all laugh while looking at him limping while walking.

"It hurts!" He said while looking at his knees with a little wound.

"Why are you guys running in the first place?" She said while looking at his knees.

"I don't know!" Tyron said while still laughing. The other men came without Zeke and laughed to what happened.

"Who is he princess?" Gillan asked then pointed him using his lips. Axel is still facing the sea and as he turned around, all of their expression changes.

"Long time no see!" Axel said while smiling widely. They didn't move and keep their eyes on him, Leanne on the other hand is clueless on what is happening.

"Are you real?" Reese said then poked him using his finger, Axel laughed because of his action.

"You guys know each other?" Leanne asked but Evan suddenly pulled her hand and walked their way back to the hotel.

"Wait!" She said but he is strong enough to pull her easily. When they reached the hotel, all of them looked at her.

"Princess, you should avoid that man" Gillan said which made her eyebrows knot. "Why?" She asked because of their sudden behavior.

"You will know the answer soon, just follow our favor for now" Calix said. She nodded as a response then sigh.

"Rest for now" Tyrell said with full authority. "Then what am I going to do here? It's boring" She said then sat on the couch. Calix grope something on his pocket and gave a book.

"Here, read this" He said and handed it to her. Leanne looked at the title and saw that it is a book for the function of different part of the body. Is he bringing that book everywhere?

"No thanks!" She automatically said. He just shrugged and put it back to his pocket. They all left which leaves her hanging alone. The woman took her phone and rad random stories on an app while thinking why they want her to avoid such a kind man.

Her tears slowly fell while reading a tragic ending where the main character died because of an accident. The woman keeps on pleading to bring him back but it's too late. Their fate has ended and their time as lovers is done.

She was in that kind of moment when the door suddenly opens and she saw Zeke holding the door knob.

"Let's eat" He said with his baritone voice and closed the door after. She shrugged her shoulders and walk towards the elevator to meet with her friends. The elevator was about to go down when someone put their hands in between and reopen it. Out of everyone, the man she is avoiding enter.

"Where are you heading?" He asked nicely. She don't know what to answer because Zeke didn't inform her the specific place.

"Don't tell me you don't know where you are going?" He said while a smile is placed on his mouth. She forced a smile and decided to go at the ground floor.

"You know, I want to be your friend because I feel so comfortable whenever I am with you" He said while walking with her. Leanne just zipped her mouth but he keeps on speaking. She can't find a reason to avoid such a gentle man but she knows that there is a deeper reason why they want to keep her away from him.

"Where have you been princess?" Tyron asked and they are all looking at her which made her shiver. She is shaking her head, trying to send a message that she is avoiding him but it failed.

"I've been looking everywhere for you guys. I don't know where is the exact place we are eating so I, I mean we roamed the whole place" She said and Reese was about to pull her to them when a familiar voice speak.

"Damn! What took you all so long?" Zeke said while his brows are frowning. All of them formed a curved, acting like they are hiding someone while the woman is still clueless.

"We found princess" Kaine said in a cheerful voice. Their body shakes when he noticed that they are hiding someone.

"Who's at your back?" He asked and their adam's apple moved up and down. They are about to pull a white lie but Axel moved forward. Zeke looked at him in a scary glance then smirked.

"You are still alive? Nice to see you again!" Her husband said in a lifeless tone, imitating an insult.

"It's been long time since the last time we talk and seen each other --- paps" Axel answered.

"Planning on stealing my wife after getting what you want?" Zeke said and the atmosphere suddenly changed. The man infront of him frowned because of what he said, then he remembered how Leanne introduced herself awhile ago.

"I am Leanne Nixon, nice to meet you!"
