Tired of cat and mouse

"You are." The guys say immediately.

"Like hell I am! If anything I'm the most wanted out of the three of us!" I argue.

"But you're the best at sneaking around." Steve counters.

"But Jack's the only one that doesn't have a supernatural after him." I bring to light.

"So what? I'm not exactly subtle." He admits.

"Yeah but out of the three of us, if they saw you and you said that they forced us to uncuff ourselves then kicked you to the curve it would make sense. Especially if we don't know if they're already at the fence and have already told them about them wanting Steve and I." I explain.

"Yeah that's right. After all even if they do know what happened they won't do anything to you really since you're not a target. And they have to be careful because if they anger you, you can just not cooperate. Just go mute. If they try anything then get dramatic and cause a scene." Steve elaborates siding w/ me.

"Fine, but I don't like this." Jack pouts.

"Stop being a big baby and go." I state and he goes off on his journey to face everybody's nightmare angry parents.

"Do you think he's going to be ok?" Steve asks.

"50, 50. You know what it's actually more like 75, 25." I answer.

"Oh why you say that?"

"Because if he gets to our fam then there's a 50, 50 percent chance of him being able to come back w/ the government people spotting him or finding out about us escaping. Or he gets an ear full and comes back after the scolding and some talking. Then the 50, 50 of him getting caught by the government. One being caught the other being not caught. Self explainitory. But after being caught there's like a 50, 25, 25 percent chance of what's gonna happen next."

"Woah where did the three options come from and which one is the most likely?"

"The three options are they catch him talk to him the let him continue on his way after the excuse we gave him, they catch him and question him and try to get him to spill he causes a scene and they arrest him for something they could find or conjure up and he gets held till they can't do so any longer. Or and this is the most likely one, they catch him question him and drag him to the fence. The lycans try to intimidate him. When that doesn't work they have him there as bait and wait for us to track him down."

"But couldn't he escape?"

"Not if they cuff him to the fence or the lycans grab him and hold him on the other side."

"So do you have a plan on how to get him back if that happens?"

"Of course I do. I'm going to go and get him back."

"What? But wouldn't that be the worst thing to do?" He asks his voice raising a bit.

"Not really because I doubt that new female is going to leave w/ out you. So if you go and get caught then I go shoot they can take you back to their pack and then how am I going to get you back here as safe as possible?"

"But couldn't the same be done to you?"

"It could but it's highly unlikely because think about it. They have our battle strategist. Then the powerhouse goes to rescues him. He's been in their ranks observing them. He could have plans to get out of there. And I have the strength to carry out those plans."

"Ok so what do you want me to do?"

"Scope. I need you to plan escape routes. And memorize the shift changes and everything."

"What if he was held?"

"We sit back and watch. We gather evidence of it being unlawful and give it to his attorney well copies of it that is. And we make sure they can't sweep it under the rug."

"What about the 25 percent of it going our way from the gecko? What's the plan from there?"

"Similar to the first one and what not. Observe, make escape routes and save. We'll find ways to get money. We'll save up as much as we can. Then we'll start the plan. We're going to have the fam save up too. But when we leave we're going to have it be in a wave. We'll pay in cash so there's no paper trail. We'll leave first. We'll get a place far enough away w/ different airports. We'll get some hideouts made and establish our street cred."

"So we're starting a gang?"

"We sure are. We'll get a bank account and stuff but we'll use cash for the first set of plane tickets. We'll get new phones and numbers and text them the information and send them the tickets w/ one of our gang members. The member's coming back after a few days. Then have them buy a separate set of tickets using cash and have them fly out to us. We're going to have a company built that hides our gang activities from the fam because we can already guess how's that's going to go down." We both shiver at the thought.

"Ok then. But how do we keep from getting caught?"

"That's where you come in. These are just things I figured could get us up and going fast. But I'm not the best at figuring out the fine details."

"I should've expected as much."

"Guys!" Jack's pants rushing into the hideout.

"What's wrong!?" We ask.

"They, they... Hah hah. They have them!" Jack struggles to get out.

"What?" I ask.

"The government has our family!" He pants.

"What!?" Steve and I roar.

"Do you know why or what's even happening?!" I ask starting to panic.

"No. I went to the house and got nothing except a heart attack because when I was about to open the door two agents opened it and were walking out w/ boxes. I followed them and they had this make shift base and when I peeked in I saw they had them all cuff to the tables and were questioning them. I went back to the house and they have it cleared out."

"Ok so they decided to go to war." I state.

"What you scheming over there?" Steve asks.

"Ok Jack go back to the base and get as much info as you can tonight. Steve get ready to document all our findings and our financials. Meanwhile I'm going to try and get us some money." I inform everyone of their role.

I went back to THEIR house to get my knife collection and sharpener. I got in and got everything but something was off.

The house looked lived in but THEY should've been in jail. Then all the sudden I hear the door knob twist. I hide and low and behold it was THEM. But they weren't alone.

"Hey the only reason you're out is because we need your help! So stop thinking you're someone important or that you deserve more than what we're giving you!" The government dude from the plane yells at THEM.

"Whatever! Look in her room and stuff if you want to but I doubt you'll find anything. Like I said once they come back they're going to go to them and when they see they're not there they're going to panic. Then they're going to mess up and then you can catch them." Felix states.

My blood boils and I clenched my fists while hearing this. THEY were the reason as to why our family was in that make shift base of the government! I quickly left as quietly and stealthy as I could.

Once I was some distance away I hauled my butt back to the hideout. I slam in and this scared the guys.

"Woah what got you so hectic?" Steve asks.

"THEM!" I growl out w/ enough venom in my voice for the king koba to back down.

"Why did you bring THEM up?" Jack asks.

"Because THEY are helping the government. And because of THEM our family is locked up! It was set up to make us sloppy so we'll be easier to catch!" I inform.

The guys froze when they heard this. They started clenching their fist so hard their knuckles turned white.

"Steve, Jack calm down. I'm pissed too but if we act recklessly it'll work and then they might just keep our family locked up or take them away from us." I reason.

The guys take a few deep breaths then I see them visibly relax.

"Looks like it's time to plan a jail break." Steve says.

"Where did you guys find the people who can treat such beautiful blade like this!?" I ask.

So it's been about a week and a half since we got the news of what happened to our family.

Since I had my sharpener the guys went out and found some clients that needed some knives sharpened.

But some of these clients neglected to inform us they completely trashed some of their blades! So now I'm trying to restore these blades w/ the little I have w/ me.

"Hey we said want better sharper knives we'll get them, they pay us half here and half after. If you don't like it keep the other half and they swarmed." Steve says.

"Well I should give them a piece of my mind for how they did these poor, poor blades wrong!" I complain.

"Be quiet. At least you're able to help these poor knives right now." Jack says.

I grumble a bit but go back to work. After another 6-8 hours of work I got all the knives ready for delivery.

"They better not hurt my babies." I humph as I hand the blades over to Jack.

"I'll make sure they don't!" He laughs at me.

"Ok now thanks to you we were able to make 6,987 dollars and 42 cents." Steve says.

"W/ the other half?" I ask.

"Not yet. Only gonna count it when it's in the bank w/ the rest." He states.

I nod then got to my sculptures. I carve wooden sculptures for some extra money too. Jack also cooks for some extra money.

"So how close are we to our goal?" I ask.

"About a few more weeks then it'll be good. Well at least for part one." He states.

"Sweet. Do you think there's a way to speed things up a bit?" I inquire.

"Maybe start charging a bit extra. But we gotta keep it reasonable so that people keep buying them." He states.

"We can say we're doing a specialized function. It costs more but if they want something specific they can get it." I bring up.

"Yeah that might actually work. I'll have Jack bring it up when the next set of sculptures are up."

"Guys! Guess what I found!" Jack says excitedly as he rushes in.

"What? A way to kill people legally?" I ask.

"No sadly. But remember those summers we did those odd jobs and the sculpture thing?" He asks.

"Yeah we were making quite a bit too. Why?" Steve affirms.

"Well I found our old stash of money!" He says. Steve and I shot up.

"Really!?" We exclaimed.

"Yeah here!" He says eagerly.

We look and it is our old stash! Steve got busy counting and I pat Jack on the back and tell him what Steve and I discussed when he was gone.

"Guys. I think we all need to slap ourselves." Steve says.

"Why? Did they con us and give us fake money or something?" Jack asks.

"No because we were stupid enough to lose 500,000 dollars! Then we were just going to leave it!" He states.

Our eyes widened and we all collectively slapped ourselves.

"Looks like we can start moving the plan up." I state.

So we decided to save up some more for a week and we did the customized sculptures too.

Thanks to that we made like 40,000 dollars. Now we're getting ready to set our plan into action.

We're creeping around the base. The guards are out but there aren't many seeing as it's night.

After a minute or two we found them. Steve's parents were in the same cell room thingy.

Jack's mom was by herself and Jack's grandparents were in the same one. We split up and got them out.

We had them stay quiet and lead them out of the base. We then soon blindfolded them and took to a hideout.

Not the same one we've been at but a new one because we already made it seem like we went back there.

"What are you three up to?" Steve's mom asks.

"We're getting out of here. We almost have enough money but we can get the rest somewhere else. But for now stay as quiet as you can. We'll tell you more once we're on the road." I answer.

I see them nod then I go back to helping the guys find our old car. So we made a car when we were younger and yes it has enough seats to fit us all but we don't know it's condition.

"Found it!" Jack says and we go over to him. Surprisingly it was in good condition.

"When did you guys get a car?" Jack's mom asks.

"We made it when we were younger. Now come on and hop in!" Steve answers.

They do and we start her up. Soon we were off. We got of the town when they start to attack us w/ their questions.

"How long have you've been in the town?"

"When did you build a car?"

"Where did you get your money from?"

"Where are we going?"

"Why were you guys so tense?"

"How much do you know?"

"Where did you learn to drive and when?"

"Have you guys been eating right?"

"What's the plan? Or are we gonna make a new plan when we get to wherever we're going?"

"Is this thing safe to be driving?"

"Where did you learn to make a car?"

"Did you guys really make this car or did you steal it?"

"If you stole it then who from?"

"How did you get their keys?"

"Did you hot wire it?"

"How do you know how to hot wire a car?"

"Where did you learn to hot wire a car?"

"Ok enough. 1 seriously we're hurt by how little you think of us. 2 we made this car when we were younger and taught ourselves to drive it. 3 we got skills and talents to be able to make money. 4 we made money when we were younger and lost some of it but we had more somewhere else in case I decided to run away. 5 we're going to where we hid our old money. 6 we know that THEY are helping the government but not much after that. Now do you guys any idea or any information we may need?" I ask.

After a long uncomfortable minute Steve's mom decided to answer my question.

"So about a day or so ago those creatures appeared at the fence. The government brought us to them and explained why we were there and who we are. They said that they'll be taking all three of you and said you've escaped. They said that when you caught them you need to hold them for a while and tell them to start preparing for some ritual they said they have to do. When the government asked they said you left it as vague as that. Knowing how fast those creatures were and how long it took them to appear after her last escape we thought Felix's plan worked." She explains.

"Looks like you're more in the dark than we are." I state.

"What do you mean?" She asks.

"Well the ritual was a lie to get them to bring us back. It didn't work. But they want all of us because the mom of Alpha she wants Steve to be her mate." Jack states.

"What!?" The fam up roared.

"Also we've been in town for about 2 or more weeks." Steve says.

"Wait then how come it took them so long if you've been here for so long?" Jack's gramps asks.

"Because we hid our tracks well and so much more." We all say.

"But here let's explain some things." I say.

I then go in to explain what we learned from omega. How we found out about THEM. And how we made money and where our old money came from. Also why we built this car.

"So let us get this straight. You guys when you were younger saw Neomenia getting abused. Then made a plan to get her out. While also making a sub plan in case things got to dangerous and she needed to escape." Steve's mom starts.

"Then made hideouts all over town and used one as a mechanic shop. That's where you brought all the parts you found or bought to build this car." Jack's mom continues.

"You also did odd jobs and got some hobbies for you to make the money for the parts and to save up an emergency fund for when she had to escape. But lost a good portion of it which was 500,000 dollars." Steve's dad adds.

"Then when you escaped you did a similar method to make more money and you even some how found the old money. Now you're taking us to a hideout you made to hide the other part of the money you made. And the only reason you made this new hideout was so that you didn't have to worry about someone stealing the money here or losing it." Jack's gramps strings on.

"And this hideout is also where we're going to stay at for a while till we can find a place or more specifically a black market to go to in order to leave and not leave a trace." Jack's grandma wraps up.

"Yep." We say.

The fam all have blank faces. Soon they snap out of it and a minute after we engaged in some casual talk.

"We're here." Steve states. The guys and I pile out while the fam looks at us confused.

"What's up?" I ask.

"Where's the hideout?" Steve's mom asks.

We just smirk and point. So we're on a decently maintained road but it surrounded by barran land it kinda of resembles a road in the desert.

And we just pointed at open space. So we go over and jump. As we land we disappear.

"Oh crap!" Someone yells then we heard hurried steps. Soon the others followed.

"Welcome to our underground oasis." I states as we step aside to reveal the hideout.

It was one of our bigger ones. Steve showed them around while Jack and I brought the car in.

You had to open the hatch for the driveway entry manually then there was a bit of a sudden drop.

The drop was part of the booby trap that if it was an unwanted vehicle it would get sprung out.

We figured seeing one of us disappear then having the other two not react but start to drive off and then a sudden drop might be a sure fire way to get us killed we decided to just all disappear then bring the car in.

"Car's in." Jack states as we enter the common area.

"Sweet, just got done counting and we had 600,000 dollars here." He states.

"Awesome! We should have enough to get some transport and a decent place to stay." I say.

"You guys have over 1 mil! You most definitely have enough!" Jack's gramps exclaims. We chuckle at him.

"We're bringing the car w/ us. So that's most definitely gonna cost more. Then the cost to get it registered. We're gonna have a dent made in this money for sure. Plus you have to act like you're barely scraping by unless you want them to rob ya." I bring to light.

"But I'm pretty sure you guys dealt w/ the black market before right?" Jack's mom asks us accusently. We froze at her words.

"Yeah after how you guys talked about this stuff we wouldn't be surprised if you've had." Steve's mom says.

"A- anyways let's get this started." I announce clapping my hands together.

So about 2 weeks pasted after the initial day. We found somewhere to sell some sculptures and food while also getting knives to sharpen. So we got some more money.

"Guys bad news." Steve says walking into the common area.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"The government found us." He says.

"Crap!" Jack and I chorus.

"You guys seem awfully calm right now." Steve's dad says.

"That's because we know they can't get in here." I answer.

"Oh? And how are you so sure?" Steve's mom asks.

"Because we modified the place a bit just in case they did find us." Steve says.

"But did you make it bomb proof or something?" Jack's gramps asks.

"No need for that. If they tried that then they have to take the risk of possibly killing or wounding us. And seeing who's after us and why they're after us I don't think that's gonna slide." Jack states.

"But what if they watched you and saw how you entered?" Jack's grandma asks.

"Well our modifications won't let anyone who doesn't know the pass code through unless they people inside gives permission." I inform and as if on cue we got the alert.

Someone just entered and we saw them on the security screen that popped up. We hit unauthorized and saw him get shot up like a cort in a champagne bottle.

"Ok listen here kids! Come out w/ your hands up or we'll start using force!" A government official yelled.

We looked at each other before we got the speakers ready.

"NOT BY THE HAIR OF OUR CHINEY CHIN CHINS!!" We yelled at them.

We had cameras so we could watch them outside and they were caught completely off guard by the sudden loudness of our response. Then they got floored when they realize what we said and the significance.

"Fine have it your way!" He states.

We then see people carrying small bombs coming up. We realize what they were planning and got the emergency escape ready.

"What do you mean we got to go?" Steve's dad asks.

"We said we didn't bomb proof the place and that bomb is strong enough to blow a door off it's hinges but not the whole place. They probably have something setup so we can't booby trap them. So this place's about to go into self destruct mode." I state.

This put some pep in their step. And we were able to get to the car w/ everything we needed and were ready to drive off. A few seconds later it happened.

"How come we don't hear anything?" Jack's grandma asks.

"Because it's silent. It shows hidden passage ways and what not so we can leave but doesn't say anything so that the enemy doesn't know." I answer as we start to drive down the hidden pathway.

We heard a lot of explosions and what not as we drove. Soon we were out and now we were driving like there was no tomorrow.

"PULL OVER NOW!" Something yells.

It was robotic but held some type of emotion behind it. That when I figured someone was speaking through a megaphone.

We looked out and saw a bunch of cars tailing us. But they were to far away to be able to give out a command for us to hear.

Then we looked up and saw a chopper. We sped up and kept going. Then we heard gun shots.

The chopper was firing at us! More specifically around us and at the tires. Pretty soon there was 5 choppers and the cars we catching up a bit.

Two of the five choppers flew a head a bit and landed. The others started to land while firing trying to keep us in the middle.

We couldn't take a risk w/ Jack's grandparents in the car. So we stopped. Soon the cars caught up and we were efficiently surrounded.

"Get out of the car then lay down on the ground!" An official ordered.

We just locked the doors and sat back. This angered him and he came stomping up to the car and tapped the window.

"Didn't you hear me!? I said get out of the car and lay down on the ground!" He reorders his face completely red.

We made no effort to move and he got severely pissed. He then tried breaking the window. I opened the sun roof and stuck my head out to yell at him.

"IF YOU BREAK MY DAMN WINDOW I'M GOING TO BREAK YOU!" I declared. He froze and I climbed back in.

"You and your creations." The guys chuckled.

"I'm gonna ignore the cussing this time." Steve's mom states.

I hurriedly thanked her. The official snapped back to reality and called for back up. Soon a female official came up.

"Hey can you guys please get out of the car?" She asks. The guys and I look at each other before Steve who was driving rolled down his window.

"Why?" He asks.

"So we can take you back." She answers.

"Why?" Jack asks.

"Because those creatures seem to want you guys w/ them." She answer starting get confused. Like why are you guys asking these questions when you should already know.

"Why?" Steve asks again.

"Why do you guys keep asking why?" She asks.

"Because we want to know if you know what you're putting us in." Steve answers.

"Ok then what are we putting you in?" She asks intrigued.

"Danger." Jack answers. "Those creatures want to fuck my friends here or in other words rape them and they're gonna use me as a means to an end by threatening to harm or kill me if they don't behave." He adds cutting her off as she was about to ask another question. Her eyes widened.

"I hear she doesn't talk. But she yelled at him." She says after a minute of silence. Steve nods.

"Why? I know she didn't yell at someone for simply trying to break a car window when she has remained in multiple situations where her yelling could have been more reasonable." She states.

"If this is a way to know why she still hasn't talked to those creatures we'll tell you but why she yelled then was because she made this car from scratch w/ us. Then the fact that he was trying to break the window where her friend was. He could have gotten glass in his eyes multiple cuts and more. So she was protecting her friend basically." Jack states.

"Ok then what about those creatures?" She asks.

"Well they want her to talk to them. They want her attention, her acknowledgement. They want a reaction. So to help better protect us and to defy them she stays silent." Steve answers.

"Ok well how can I get you guys to come out peacefully?" She asks.

"Only take us. Help our family get a place to stay that's far away and where they can have stable and happy lives w/ good jobs. Then we want you to set up a way for us to contact them after this challenge." Steve says.

"Challenge? What challenge?" She asks.

"What's up w/ you guys?" Alpha asks.

"I think it's best if they tell you." The lead official says. The lycans look at him confused before he stepped aside and revealed us walking in.

"So have you guys finally given up and accept your fate?" Alpha's mom asks.

"Shut up old hag and listen." Jack says.

The government people flinch and the lycans gasp. Alpha went to growl at him but a glare from me shut her up.

"Now we have a challenge for you lot. You can blind fold us and take us back to your pack or where ever. But you have to let us run after we get there."

"What!? Why would we do that!?" Alpha interrupts him.

"If you would let me finish. This is to end this little game of cat and mouse we're playing. You have to catch us before we make it back to the fence. If we make it to the fence then you have to leave us alone and stop chasing us. But if you manage to catch one of us we'll stop running and stay w/ you guys." He finishes.

"How come you said one of us instead of us?" Alpha's mom asks.

"Because we won't leave one of our own. So that means if you can capture one of us the other two will turn around to save the one. But also because we doubt you'll be able to catch all of us let alone one of us." He says.

"Also we heard that she talked to some stranger." Alpha states.

"Yeah she yelled at some dude." He answers w/ a shrug.

"Not even going to lie or cover it up?" She asks looking down a bit.

"Nope. I mean after all it's not like something major." He shrugs again.

"The fuck is w/ your don't give a shit attitude!? Also how come she'll talk to some nobody yet won't even sneeze in front of us!?" She snaps. I stepped in front of Jack and glared at her.

"My attitude is because I really don't give a shit. And she didn't talk to him she yelled at him because he was about to injure our friend." Jack says rolling his eyes at her reaction.

"What!?" Alpha's mom asks.

"Yeah yeah. Now back to the challenge do you accept or do you want to keep playing cat and mouse?" Jack asks.

"We accept. Now hurry up and get over here so we can get this over w/ and so you guys can finally accept your fate." Alpha's mom says.

"Ok rule 1. You can't chain us up. 2. You have to take us back to the pack or where ever you took us for it to count as a capture. 3. No using the pack. Only those who are chasing after us can take part in the challenge. If this rule is broken you guys automatically loose."

"Hey it seems all these rules are for us and they only hinder us." Alpha interrupts him.

"These are to give us a fighting chance. If you brought in pack members to help you while we can't bring anybody in to help us it tips the scales in your favor unfairly so. Especially since you guys are stronger than us." He states crossing his arms.

"Fine that's fair." Alpha's mom says.

"4. Any weapons used must be able to be made using resources in the forest. 5. No knocking us out by any means in order to try and capture us easier. Also before you ask we're having the government watch over this competition from a chopper. This also counts as a way to find us. This is a handicap to us but also to you. Because breaking these rules allows the government to drop in and use force to get us out of your clutches and get us to safety." He says.

"But if your government had any power over us then do you really believe you guys would be here making this challenge?" Alpha asks.

"Oh the force used can be as far as shooting us." He says like it was normal.

"What!?" They all cry.

"What?" He asks innocently.

"You guys would let them kill you!?" Alpha's mom asks.

"Well if it gets that bad then yeah. But them shooting us doesn't necessarily mean we'll die. Unless you refuse to let them take us to get the proper care." He states while shrugging.

"Fine. But I want to know that after this game you guys will keep your word and be w/ us w/ out argument." Alpha's mom says.

"Sorry you got confused about what's happening after the challenge. But we won't run. We never said we'll accept you or accept being your mate. We just won't run. You can't change the fact that we don't love any of you. Let alone would accept you after everything that you put us through." He says.

"Watch it." She growls.

"Or what? Gonna find someone to chase me? So I can go mute too? Then how will you be able to communicate w/ your victims?" He says.

"We'll talk about what's going to happen after the challenge. But we accept all terms and conditions. Now let's just get this challenge over w/!" She says getting impatient.

"But-."

"I don't care! Let's go!" She interrupts Jack.

"Ok then let's get going." Jack relents.

We put on the blindfolds and let them take us wherever. After a while I felt them trying to pick me up. I assume they're trying the same on the guys.

"We want to make it a bit difficult for you guys to find your way back. So we're going to pick you guys up." Alpha says.

After a while we let them. I know we all did because we started moving faster.

"You guys better not be trying to take us like half way across the country." Jack says. After a while longer they put us down.

"Ok take off the blindfolds." Alpha's mom says.

We do so. We see we're no where close to where we were the last time.

"Whenever you're ready the hunt can begin." She says that made us all uneasy. We took a moment to look at each other then we sprinted off.
