The quiet night arrived without company as the moon was hiding behind the thick, grey clouds. I had been standing by the hallway in Yerevan mansion for exactly five minutes, staring blankly at a certain door that looked rather larger than usual. I took a deep breath, and with a portion of hesitation, I knocked on the door three times.

"Who is it?"

It was such a long response since I knocked and the reply came much later than that. Unbeknownst to me, my sweaty hand was already clenching anxiously.

"It's me," I could only afford to create a weak voice. I didn't say my name but I knew I didn't need to.

The silence hung in the air like a suspended moment before the clucking noise of the door in front of me being pulled open broke the absence of sound. Within the brief moment when the door swung, the world slowed until my vision found Marvel whose hand was holding onto the doorknob.
