Eating Up Her Soul.

"Good morning father" Ariel greeted her father, but this time looking at him eyeball to eyeball.

"Am I needed?" She asked, praying silently inside of her. She prayed for him to say no. She wasn't ready to work for the pack for now, not after all the pathetic trauma she went through yesterday.

John Mills took his eyes off of her, rather using his hand to wave a 'no' to her to show she wasn't needed.

"Thank goodness" Ariel muttered in a tone he didn't hear. She left the room in a flash, heading over to the kitchen and taking an apple from the fruit bowl placed in the kitchen counter.

She took a bite from it, when her eyes fell on Jacob and that sight of him made her stomach grumble with indigestion. The apple suddenly tasted sour and bitter in her mouth, causing her drop it back into the bowl.

Jacob observed the disgust she had in her face at the sight of him but he didn't let it bother him at all as he went over to the same fruit bowl, taking the apple Ariel dropped and took a bite from it.

Ariel viciously glared at him, attempting to leave the kitchen but he got in her way, blocking every single step she took. She tried walking to the left which he blocked and did the same too.

Annoyed with him doing that to her, she threw a punch to his chest but he didn't even bulge at all. He felt like water was been splashed at his strong muscular chest.

"Fuck off Jacob" Ariel yelled annoyingly at him, expecting him to leave her peacefully but that word 'peacefully' doesn't work out with Jacob.

Jacob let out a selfish chuckle, satisfied with the way he was annoying her already. He was well known in the pack as a bully, too bad for Ariel, she turned out to be one of his victims.

"I said fuck off Jacob!" Ariel attacked him with full speed, her hands balled into a fist. She was going to hit him this time since he doesn't listen.

Unfortunately for her, Jacob studied her movements closely and before she could hit him. He caught her balled fist with his hand, swirling her around making sure her back was against his body. He turned her hand against her back causing Ariel to wail in agony.

"I swear I'm going to kill you Jacob!" Ariel threatened him amidst pain, Jacob smirked wickedly and brought her arm a little bit up against her neck as Ariel wailed deeply in pain.

She leaned down, trying to kick him anywhere her leg could find, which he dodged carefully but Ariel was much smarter than that.

She threw him a kick with her left foot which he dodged giggling keenly, causing him to lose guard as she used that opportunity to kick him with her right foot in the place where the sun never rises.

Jacob quickly dropped on the floor of the kitchen, holding onto the area Ariel kicked. He let out a grieved scream. Ariel smiled victoriously, checking out her arm for any dislocation.

She hovered closer to him, pulling him by the hair. She warned him clearly, "Next time I'll make sure I break your balls".

Letting go of his hair vigorously, she got up and walked out of the kitchen without looking back at the poor soul she almost killed.

That would definitely teach him a lesson to not mess with her next time, Jacob was a rogue werewolf her father took in, adding him to the pack as a member.

Jacob was among her father's favorites, he served as an errand boy and knew how to handle tasks assigned to him well and perfectly.

But the problem was that he was a bully, always picking on people not his size. He didn't dare mess with Avril but Ariel clearly was not an exception since her father didn't give a damn about her.

After yesterday's incident with Avril and Carter, Ariel swore within herself to not be seen as a weakling anymore, not even by her sister or anyone else starting with Jacob.

She was going to defend herself starting from today and face her fears. There was no way she would win against Avril if she didn't face her fears first.

****

Ariel ran as fast as light in the woods, she loved the woods so much which made it her favorite hubby. She always raced in the woods everyday whenever she was on leisure.

She ran and stopped when she reached a  clean and tarred road. She walked a few steps in the road when a vehicle blared its horn at her, jerking her back to life.

That was when she realised she was in the city. She saw different species of humans. Ariel loved the city so much and wanted to live it but her father kicked against that idea of hers.

He had the fear humans were going to discover about their existence which might endanger their lives if they lived in the city so that's why they lived in the woods.

Technically, this was not her first time visiting or being in the city, she spent most of her leisure over there totally ignoring her father's warnings.

Ariel didn't care nor listened, after all she was only useful to him when she was needed to work for the pack. And after that, her usefulness turned to uselessness.

She did keep eyes out for her father's errand boys due to the fact she had seen most of them in the city, still adding to her curiosity, what they were doing in the city.

Still on that thought, she quickly ran over with speed to the street for safety, using her eyes to explore it.

The city was one beautiful place she had always dreamt of living but that dream of hers was never going to come true.

Unlike her pack who loved staying away from the humans, she was different. She saw humans as beautiful creatures with no problems.

They were easy going and loving to mingle with so she had no idea why her father wanted to stay away from them.

She can't use because of her father and his reasons for staying away from humans best known to him and not make friends. The humans might accept her since she was rejected by her own family and pack.

Ariel turned around, in the aim of going back to the woods. She didn't find anything of interest in the city to pass time with today, besides she better go back before she gets summoned.

She bumped into an unknown figure mistakenly, causing the coffee he held in his hand to spill on the expensive looking tuxedo he put on.

Ariel let out a gasp out of shock, "What I'm I going to do?" She muttered indistinctly. The tuxedo looked pretty expensive to her and she had no money on her. What was she going to do if he asked her to pay?.

"I'm so sorry" She leaned closer to the figure, flicking the tuxedo repeatedly trying to remove the stains but the damage was done already.

"It's okay, there's not much stain" the figure stopped her, taking her hands off of him. Ariel looked up to see the face of the generous being clearly, her Jaws slightly dropped at the sight of his face.

He was too handsome for a guy and those blue oceanic eyes of his was eating up her soul as she drooled over him.
