On what was an empty clearing that was surrounded by trees, with no one in sight, appeared a circular, blue portal. Soon after, an unassuming man came out of the portal. He looked to be approximately in his early twenties, he had blonde messy hair, and he wore a black leather jacket, a white shirt, black jeans, sandals, and sunglasses.

As the portal behind him closed, he looked around his surroundings, after he concluded that no soul had seen him leave the portal, the man took in the environment around him, the brightness of the morning sun that bathed him with its warm light, the wind that passed through his clothes, the melody of birds chirping in the nearby trees that partly blocked sight of far-away buildings.

'This is a pretty fresh sight. Unfortunately, I don't have time for this. I've got a job to do. Show the armor skin menu, please.'

A light-blue screen appeared in front of him showing the man's current outfit that had a variety of options for customization. But the man didn't even bother with them, wasting no time to go after the option that was named '-PRESETS-'. After he had focused on it for a solid second, the option glowed up light green. Soon after, another, smaller, menu screen appeared on top of the previous one. And somehow, it had even more options. Scrolling down, he only needed a few seconds to find the one he was looking for:

'-TEACHER_SKIN_PRESET-'

He looked at it for a moment until a pop-up appeared in front of him saying:

ARE YOU SURE?

-YES- or -NO-

Focusing on the '-YES-' option, the pop-up disappeared and the man's clothes started shifting little by little until the black turned into silver and the solid fabric of the clothes melted into liquid, it shifted around the man's body. With time, the black jeans turned into light gray khaki, the white shirt turned into a soft blue dress shirt, the black sandals turned into black shoes, and the black sunglasses turned into rimless reading glasses. Finally, the once black leather jacket now silver liquid was absorbed by the dress shirt until it vanished entirely.

After the transformation, he checked himself to see if everything was in order.

'There we go, it might have felt...weird the first couple of times, but now it doesn't feel as much. The name "Over-Armor" might be one of if not the dumbest names I had ever heard ("Over-Metal", what this armor is made out of being a REALLY close second), but the sheer quality almost compensates for it, although...show mirror screen, please.'

Without delay, a digital screen appeared in front of him. With its size quickly showing in full his current appearance, he looked up and down at his digital reflection like he was sizing himself up.

'Not bad, not what I normally would pick for any day of the week, but I can certainly make it work, but, to do that, I will need to take care of this messy hair. First impressions ARE important if I want the strings that the organization had to pull for me to get the teacher's job to not be for naught. Sure, there's no way I'm gonna get immediately fired because of it. But, it will certainly not benefit me, hairbrush, please.'

As he raised his right hand with an open hand expectantly, a little bit of silvery liquid leaked out of his dress shirt. It slithered its way to his open hand. After a few seconds, all the liquid that had reached his hand gained the form of a regular black hairbrush. With it in hand, he started fixing his hair into a long round layered haircut. After he was done, the hairbrush melted into the silvery liquid and got back into the dress shirt, where it was soon absorbed by it.

'Alright, that should be good enough...'

The man paused for a moment, his expression slowly becoming tired. As he remembered what he was here for. Soon after, a long tired sigh escaped out of his mouth.

'I know that a job is a job, but seriously, why did he choose me of all people?'

[Magical Girl Shiny Star]

'From what I managed to read of the digital briefing I was given before I stopped out of sheer cringe. It's apparently a manga about a group of high school girls who use magic powered by "Friendship" and "Love", and whatever generic stuff that those kinds of stories have in some way or another. And they use said power to fight against the evil forces that threaten the world as they know it.'

As he started to move away from the clearing, the man passed through trees on his path in the direction where he had seen buildings from afar.

'My job is to manage this story so it can go on its intended way (that being MY intended way), while making sure that my real identity is not revealed (with maybe a few exceptions but I probably won't need to worry about that), since technically, I am not supposed to be here. Thankfully, the organization AT LEAST made it easier for me to blend in by arranging a disguise as a teacher who will attend the same school as the girls and a place to stay while I am here, which will make things way more manageable.'

As he stepped out of the trees, onto a sidewalk, he was now able to see the buildings more clearly, which appeared to be all business-oriented.

'Of course, not that it would be hard to begin with. After all, I wouldn't be called Life if something like this was too hard for me. Probably won't take too much time.'
