Jonah Lake paced around in his mansion while biting his thumb.

It didn't make sense, it made no sense at all. Just how in the world was someone strong enough to last against a whole city of people trying to kill him?

Despite his continuous efforts to keep things hidden, that man had somehow managed to take over the entire city and even managed to get his hands on the tree of beginnings.

Jonah's mind was running in overdrive.

Not even someone with the strength of the hobgoblins could be able to do this.

Vincent was someone who could step out of his territory, someone who had no skill suited for attacking or affecting someone.

If he had any skill like that, he would have been stuck in the city. That meant he was weak.

So how? How was he able to pull off any of this?

It was then, feral screams reached Jonah's ears. Bloodcurdling screams, followed by incessant sounds of splashing and dripping.
